So Angel!Crowley is specifically Crowley before Falling, or Snake!Crowley would be referring to him as the Serpent of Eden. The exclamation point doesn't mean anything on its own, it's mostly a way to refer to a specific aspect of a character.
You cannot fault Aziraphale for thinking Crowley would want to be an angel again. Crowley is kind at heart and he was so happy as an angel and going back to heaven means they can be together for eternity
Crowley fell on his own, he didn’t follow Lucifer. I think Crowley fell became he became disillusioned with god’s plan. You can see it starting to happen here. And with every new decade he sees more and more and more problems with god. (The flood, the story of job, the tomb raider girl, armegheddon, etc.) All the flashback scenes in s2 were meant to show times where Aziraphale’s faith in heaven/god is tested, where Aziraphale too grows disillusioned with heaven/god. But aziraphale is too stubborn and trusting to put it all together and doubt god, despite 6000 years of gods bullshit. That’s why Crowley was so pissed, that’s why after the kiss aziraphale says ‘I forgive you’ because he’s reverting to his deep rooted angel programming to avoid accepting that god is fucked.
Yeah, but that would mean going crawling back to the people who kicked him out for loving his work and asking questions. He’d be stuck, fully expected to conform and most likely treated like trash by the others. Crowley might have some harsh feelings towards heaven, but they’re backed up by solid reasons for staying away and keeping his hard won independence. To Crowley, Aziraphale was basically saying that he (Crowley), as a demon, was worth less than he used to be as an angel and that Aziraphale was only humoring him when Crowley expressed himself. I get that Aziraphale made a mistake in how he handled this situation, and we’ll hopefully get an apology in the next season (I’m sure Aziraphale will remember WHY he split from the other angels), but it’s tough for me not to take Crowley’s side, because he got his heart ripped to shreds.

Its heavily implied she created the circumstances which allowed Adam to be raised outside of heavenly/hellish influences (she actively shuffles the deck for heaven's sake). Hell, I think God needed Crowly to fall from heaven - if he hadn't, him and Azeraphale wouldn't spend as much time on Earth and would probably be in line with the rest of Heaven for destroying it. I'm guessing God will turn out to be an unexpected ally to our duo in S3 - she might sever Earth from Heaven/Hell, or intervene directly and slap sense into every angel individually
This scene is beautiful. From their very first interaction to the gorgeous nebula exploding into existence to Angel!Crowley geeking out and his disappointed rant (and, though not included here, Crowley shielding Aziraphale, mirroring Eden). I love everything about it and hope we'll get S3 soon
The second we see Crowley lift his wing for the Angel at his side I knew this season was going to be full of beautiful mirrors 🥰 all the climaxes come in season 3 tho which can’t get here soon enough

I honestly can't blame Aziraphale: Crowley was freaking adorable as an angel. Watching this scene for the first time, I was smiling the entire time. He's not much of a demon anway, good at heart, just asking too many questions, so what would be the harm in turning him into an angel again... But I do understand Crowleys point of view too. Who knows what heaven did to him before/during his fall.

And within the part we can observe we'll likely never even travel to another galaxy, let alone any stars that aren't within a dozen or so lightyears of us. Yet all of that extra time, space, energy, and matter, even the parts we'll never be able to interact with or see, are just there to be a pretty wallpaper for us to marvel at? There's just no way. :P

Seeing Crowley as a bubbly nerd is pretty entertaining. I also love them lambasting the absurdity of the whole young Earth/only important part of the universe thing. Imagine spending a long time and tons of hard work making a large mansion. So much hard work, creativity, and enginuity. Then your boss says it’ll be torn down in a week and they’ll only use the bathroom cabinets until then, and multiply that scale by infinity. That’s what’s happening here. Also the universe looks incredible!

I cried from that first scene, crying because the season was finally here, but also because one of my expectations was to finally get to know Crowley before he fell. I cried not only because my wish was granted, but the whole scene, and in particular the music. Bloody hell, that music (which I'm now listening to on a loop as it's finally been available on Spotify since midnight) It's a really powerful, beautiful scene that stirred my little heart right from the start, and I have to say that as I'm also an astronomy enthusiast, it did a little something for me in my ❤ too

The literal engineer of the universe, punished so harshly and he can't even see his stars properly (snakes are colorblind). I want to give him a hug. He used to be so radiant, a little star himself. (honestly, very 10th doctor vibes!! very refreshing and adorable to see)
I mean...while he isn't the devil himself he does seem to be the only "fallen angel" in this universe. And some of the names that the devil, the original fallen angel, gets in the bible are "Angel of Light"/"Messenger of light", "The Morningstar", "Crooked serpent", and "Old serpent". Crowley was clearly inspired by the biblical Lucifer, so him starting out as a bright and cheerful angel, and ending up as a fallen angel/serpent demon makes perfect sense. The only thing the show doesn't do is making Crowley the actual Satan.

It's so difficult to watch that first scene of season 2. Angel Crowley is so sweet, innocent and pure and then heaven just does him so wrong. He just wants to live with his Angel and everyone else is against them trying to make them claim sides. Like, just let them have their "happy ending".

To be fair, it's also hinted that he was a part of the rebellion with the other angels which means he also physically opposed them along with his ideology. Questioning God's will was simply the kickstarter.
There is an ongoing theory about Crowley being a former Archangel with his memory partially erased, but given how he mentioned that he wasn't the original concept designer for the universe makes me wonder if they have the right idea but the wrong angel.
It just means that Crowley didn’t work on it alone. Maybe God was the original concept designer and Crowley as an archangel was given the duty to see her plans go through

This season is the first time I've ever been interested in pre-Fall Crowley. Between this scene and the intriguing hint we get about him being at least a Dominion when Muriel takes him to their office, i am officially, for the first time in decades, curious about Crowley as an angel...
This is absolutely devastating. Because it all but confirms that Crowley's BIG, UNFORGIVABLE SIN was that he LIKED THE STARS TOO MUCH! I think someone needs to point me towards God, because we need to have a word.

To be fair, it's also hinted that he was a part of the rebellion with the other angels which means he also physically opposed them along with his ideology. Questioning God's will was simply the kickstarter.

There is an ongoing theory about Crowley being a former Archangel with his memory partially erased, but given how he mentioned that he wasn't the original concept designer for the universe makes me wonder if they have the right idea but the wrong angel.
It just means that Crowley didn’t work on it alone. Maybe God was the original concept designer and Crowley as an archangel was given the duty to see her plans go through
