I feel like "lead parent" is a better word to use than "single", because you know that your 'lead' will turn back into a team effort when you're home again, whereas single parents don't have a timetable like that.
Colleen, I love you and I absolutely hear you when it comes to the overwhelming nature of doing things without your partner. It's hard! Like you said, it's hard enough with two people (let alone one). It's great that you are excited for him too. That said, perhaps when it comes to referring to this moment in your lives, maybe you could refer to it as "solo parenting" rather than "single parenting." I don't want people to come for you over the single parent term when things are already more stressful, and as a single mom, you saying solo mom acknowledges our struggle without taking on our struggle (intentionally or otherwise). Being a single mom is so much more than having baby 24/7 and I know you know that. Later in the video, you do bring up actual single parents and you do give us credit and I appreciate it. All that said, I am giving you props in advance for mom'ing solo. Use your village! It truly takes a village to raise a child and Flynn is so blessed to have such a loving and supportive one. If you can get through the colic phase, you can get through anything, lol.
