On this “On the Hunt” episode I explore more of the old iron at auction including old Fords, Fargos, Kenworths, Stars, and a bunch of old oilfield trucks made for working in the Alberta patch. I even found another cabover K100 kenworth. I did my best to post the as sold price in Canadian $$$ so you have an idea ofwhat this stuff is currently going for. If you’re new to the channel, I have a sever addiction to old semi-trucks and you just can’t keep me away from them. Unfortunately, too many of the trucks at this sale were well out of my price range, but who knows, maybe someday I’ll be able to buy something that doesn’t need to be dragged home. Where is BW now? Not seen him in ages...
No idea. He proposed to Amber and they were expecting so maybe life has just taken over. I didn't realise until I started checking the upload dates on his videos, he was uploading just about every day and you just can't keep that up when you've got a newborn and a wedding to plan. I guess he'll be back some day.

My dad used to work for K&C probably about 12 years ago and I remember sitting in those beds trucks as a kid.kind of sad to see them end up at a Richie brother’s auction all these years later.

Vintage busses going for cheap right now too, even though most vehicles are up incl. RVs. Even harder to find someone to work on them, though, takes a special breed, so it's still a buyer's market.

Been a subscriber for a while now, really getting me motivated to get my air brakes and try to restore some old iron.
I love the old fargo! As a young man i drove a ford tandem with the 5 and 4 set up with gas motor and no power steering. A mans truck that a boy was driving. Great memories!

That 68 Fargo with the sweet interior, Canada Flag headliner, made my pulse quicken! My Pop drove old Fargos.
The logger I worked for had a Dodge just like that set up as a tandem log truck. The swing out fender was a cool feature!

I too love the auctions just because you never know what your going to find,sometimes there are those little surprises you never expect and of course going to the auction is like going to Costco were you went in with the mind that here is my budget today for this trip and walk out wondering how you spent twice that....lol
Like that Fargo truck that is old school and quite the job on the interior,you know who ever had it loved that truck to do that cause they wanted to keep it looking sharp and you can bet they spent a few bucks doing it but you dont see many of those running around I am sure that is out of someones farm.
Those 6 wheel drives with the bog tires man I was on a lease site and there was one section of land in it that had a serious dip in it like deep steep ditch style and everything was like mud snow swamp I mean they were using a dozer to help pull trucks and semi out of the lease, well this guy got in the 6 wheel and fired her up and headed straight for the deep fitch style area donw hill and it was boggy as hell there and we all are standing there watching thinking he is going to get stuck,the guy goes down there puts that thing in 5 wheel does a 180 and comes cruising right out of there like it was a walk in the park and blows right by us and hits the lease road out,wasnt any of us standing there that wasnt impressed as hell by that even more so at the big old smile he flashed passing by us
I had to LOL at the paint on that one gravel hauler , someone definitely did the slap a coat of paint on it before it goes to auction so it looks better for the sale job...that dirt trapped under the paint... that's just poor mans rock guard.
The old KW that someone rock guarded to death hooo I would hate to see what it is like under that rock guard,kind of a shame really someone could have done a better job and made that sweet and brought in a way better dollar, but obviously someone didn't want to go that far and well rock guard is cheap.... crying shame though
oh man that old ford truck... nice ride, someone took pride in that I almost fell out of my chair when I saw what it went for, yowza but got tolve it, they were solid as a damn rock and those old trucks went forever, they were built like tanks, bump someone at the light doing 20kmh you would be lucky if you scratched the bumper... do that todays and you have a 10k repair bill
Now that you let the cat engine out of the bag you can bet the Twinsticks community will be "On The Hunt" to help see what they can do to find some of those cat engines... they are a pretty resourceful bunch. Enjoyed the episode, look forward to the next update!

Back in the day, Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth had some absolutely incredible ideas, marvels of engineering, but their quality control was and still is spotty.
Back then Chrysler was run by the engineers

I would love to find an old Bighorn Dodge but they are few and far between now and very pricey, but I will keep looking. That blue Pete you looked at was an awesome looking unit too. I love hearing those old school auctioneers when they start rambling off those numbers puts a big smile on my face every time.
I still have a 90 pete with a 92 3406b 425 hp. I turned her up myself, running 565 hp at the flywheel.
I dig that Dodge tandem dumper. Like the old Matchbox King Size 🤘🏻
Those big Kenworths are awesome, and the cabover hauler.
It don’t take but a couple of bolts being tweaked and a larger fuel line and you have a 550hp B block, do a little extra and you’re near 600hp, it’s crazy what little bit of work is required to gain hp on them

That old fargo is what we called a dodge 600 here in the states i think. Thats one of those trucks that if you get it stuck you need to walk wherever your going. What a massive truck. Its so big you have to have two cdl's to drive em

I was to cheap to pay to have my 73 mgb painted after I restored it so I painted it myself in my garage. Basically I watched so many u tube videos on painting, it turned out great other than some orange peel that can be buffed out if I cared to. You can do the paint yourself!

The interior of that dodge is out of this world. Also it was odd for the 88 kw c500 to have the old style cab. Never seen that.

Had a ‘76 F250 2wd. Loved it.
I had a 74 with a 390, bought in 1994 I was 18, damn truck got stolen about a year later. Never saw that truck again.
My F250 High Boy was Metalic Brown and a '74.
Start looking for the battery disconnect switch if the truck has no power when starting
In Australia we call that auxiliary trans a joey box and they are pretty common on heavy haul trucks in air shift.
