Nothing worse than trying to help an animal that doesn’t understand that you are only trying to help them. Thankfully there are people such as you that are willing.
I think we don't give animals enough credit and I think some of them probably work out that he's helping them. He says he has to treat them multiple times so they must work out that he's not hurting them, and that they're starting to feel better after his intervention. I think the same about those guys who catch seals to untangle them. Even though they all run when they start chasing them some of them seem to have gotten used to them helping and they don't run as fast or as far.

I don’t think a wild animal necessarily registers that, “oh, this is a friendly human.” They go to survival mode and run. Thankfully, he can secure them and treat them. He is a wonderful person.
Like the moose whose life one guy saved. The moose went to his house and repeatedly licked his forehead. I think that was on this channel.
This was so cute to watch, I got a kick out of him running after these babies. Such a kind hearted soul, God Bless him and the Wombats. 🙏🏽🐾❤️

Sunflower, unless you are truly in a survival situation and I doubt you are,there are thousands of wonderful, highly nutritious foods to choose from without abusing and killing animals.
Do you know what factory farms are ? Do you approve ?
Do you know what slaughter houses are, do you approve ?
Why are you paying someone to abuse and kill animals on your behalf so you can eat them when you could easily choose something else to eat ?
How do you justify taking someone's life for a sandwich when you have a choice not too ?
So which animals in your mind "deserve love and care" ? your words.

Thank you for helping the wombats. I think they are such cute animals. I rescue animals here where I live in Louisiana, USA. Some of the dogs had mange & I treated it til it was gone. I've always loved animals.

This is so sweet!!! I'm glad more people are taking the initiative to talk about Australia's wildlife and that people are trying to help.
Just a reminder for the people in the comment section who want to help and might not have the training required to handle these animals: DO NOT APPROACH A WILD ANIMAL AND TRY TO HANDLE THEM!!!!!!!! Call your local wildlife rescue centre or vet... they will instruct you on what to do. Even if the animal seems cute and cuddly and harmless... they can still bite and an animal in pain is in fear and WILL ATTACK if they feel threatened. And don't pick up baby birds... their parents are probably around and if you leave your scent on them, the parents will not care for the baby as it will smell foreign to them, in fact, if you pick up the baby and put it back in the nest (sounds like a good idea but it really isn't), the new scent makes the parents think the baby is an intruder and will KILL the baby. Actually, that example goes for all baby animals.. not just birds. Best thing to do, is to wait and see if the parents are around and if there appears to be no hope.. call your local vet or wildlife refuge centre and ask for help. There are other ways to make a difference too! You can make posts online to raise awareness on the issue or even just talk to people about the issue!!! Or.. if you can, raise money and donate to wildlife relief programs and sanctuaries.
