Video Summary:
At the beginning of the ventricular systole, the aortic pressure is at its lowest point. With the opening of the aortic valve and ejection of blood, the pressure in the aorta increases. It even exceeds the pressure in the ventricle. But the inertia of the blood keeps the aortic valve open for a while. Then with decreased ejection, the pressure starts falling. Towards the end of the ejection phase, the backflow of the blood produces a dicrotic notch. during diastole, the blood keeps moving forward so there is a gradual fall in the pressure. The next cycle begins with the next systole.

This helped me understand the absence of dicrotic notch in Aortic regurgitation. Because simply there's incomplete closure of the valve to produce said notch. Thanks!
Wonderful explanation ❤
I love how you break things down. Thank you for the videos!
Most welcome. Please share the videos. We need your support and be able to keep making animation videos. Thank you.

Everything is in our list. But we can focus only on one thing at a time. Currently we are focusing on cardiovascular physiology. Please share the videos. We need your support to grow and be able to make videos faster.
please keep your focus on cardiology and pneumology 🥺🥺🥺🥺
👍🏼 That's what we are on currently.
