    Got mine a few weeks ago, very impressed. Simple but elegant and everything fitted 100%. Had also a nice discount. This will stay for many years!

    Wow. Great video and super helpful. Is this the same build process for the Storm 10 as well?

      Hi Martyn, yes, the Storm 10 uses the same legs so the build process is the same. The only difference is that it is twice as wide for AV/Home Cinema equipment. Glad you found the video helpful!

    Of course, they left the tricky bit out. When you have mounted and connected all your gear onto the rack, how do you lift it to back it to the wall?

      Hi Peter,
      We’d really recommend building it shelf by shelf in the position where you’re going to be using it, and add each piece of HiFi to the shelf before putting the next level on top.
      This was merely an instructional video on how to put the legs on the shelves - if we were going to put anything on it afterwards, the shelves lift off and we’d re position it shelf by shelf as mentioned above.

      Thanks, Richard. It is Art Tatum's Night and Day. Clearly not everyone's cup of tea as I'm sure you can tell by some of the comments!

    What if you wish to place it on a hardwood floor?

      Atacama do floor protectors to protect your hardwood floor and still allow you to use the spikes. they are about £20 for a pack of 4.

      Hi there, the depth of these shelves is 450mm. Hope that helps!

    Are the legs hollow?

    • @ExpressiveAudio
      @ExpressiveAudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi there,
      The legs are not completely solid so there is a cavity in the centre, but I wouldn't call them 'hollow'. They're acoustically engineered specifically to reduce any vibration and isolate each shelf from the shelves above and below, and are reassuringly heavy in your hand when putting the rack together. I hope that helps.

      Maybe you're right! Here's an idea: how about you make a shopping list of all the materials and tools you need, and if it comes to less than 120 pounds, we'll pay for it. You make the rack, and make a video of the process, so everyone can understand how much effort it is and how to do it, and what tools you already had. Then we'll evaluate the finished article, do a listening test, take some photos and video footage, measure how stable it is, and report on whether it worked out good value, and was fun to do. If it turns out great you get a free rack, and the internet learns how to make their own. If it turns out to be more expensive and more hassle than you thought, we had some fun, and we save other enthusiasts from having to make the same mistake. Win/win. What do you say? Shall we give it a try?
