I watched one of their newer sets of this song and now this. I’ve been listening to death cab since 2003 and I miss the old shows, but I absolutely love the band. This song takes me back to childhood. Growing up in a brownstone up 3 flights of stairs 😉
this is without a doubt the most awesome thing i have ever seen, i can't pick a best song from facts it's just all too perfect but this is right up there.
still months later i can't get over how amazing this is, Chris sitting down and all, just like the old days. Pre teenage fan base. Hopefully they'll do a facts reissue and start playing the songs more frequently as it defines death cab for cutie.
every tour i've met them first tour became good friends with nick which was 2003 so he's remembered me every time and put me on the door for most shows. Met Ben three times on the past feb tour so in answer to your question Yes.
Yea that seems crazy! Sometimes people do too much badmouthing than is healthy (myself included at times). About the intamacy of the venue, I saw death cab in Nagoya (japan) this feb and it was so small and nice... Obviously they deserve to be big, but big crowds is one of the bad points of big-ness in my opinion. Anyways, thanks for these vids; there's something special about watching a band that you love in its infancy (or at least before they made it huge).
I hope someday Death cab will do a tour revisiting their first 3 albums and only play songs off those albums, that was their best stuff
Yes!
Eric Andersen Check out Ben's latest livestream, he did pretty much just that!
With Chris of course
This is one of the most underrated songs by death cab
In your opinion…
…mine, too….
It's one of my favorites too. @@auto_5 😻

Not sure if you'll see this but these tapes are still inspiring people today... thank you so much for keeping these gems alive!
i never thought i'd find a live version of this song
They opened with this in Melbourne (AUS) on the recent Codes and Keys tour. It was the most beautiful show ever
Best song of theirs!! 👏 🙌🙌
Wow this is so cool. I never heard the older 2 albums until about a month ago and I’m obsessed with this song in particular.
Enjoy the process. Still one of my favourites many, many years later.
There is so much emotion in this song.
That is so amazing! Did you ever think back then that a day would come when these videos would be the holy grails that they are?
I am still coming back to this song!
This is the best video I have ever seen.
My favorite song.

this is a gem. thanks for posting, it even looks and sounds great.
were you the only person taking videos at dcfc shows in the late 90's early 2000's?

I agree with your last sentence.
I'm so glad you have this video
wow, thank you so much for uploading this... one of my favorite DCfC songs ever and probably the only video of it being played live. you are a god.
duuude, you need to get like a deal where all your stuff is put on DVD or something, you have like a video for every classic death cab song
great cut and great recording, thanks for posting!
This is so great. Best live death cab videos on you tube. What year was this originally recorded?
