"I may have got an invitation, but I wasn't invited..."
Rarely would I describe a lyric as "armor piercing," but there you have it.

One of the best songs they ever made. And imo the best album.

I've always considered this their magnum opus. So brutally honest in its writing and tragically relatable. I consider this the epitome of the Death Cab sound. Such a great song, and the perfect way toc lose out their best album

Great track. Reminds me a lot of "Broke" by Modest Mouse.

This is a really great second full album from Death Cab for Cutie. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wicked name . Hahaha. Music composition is awesome. Distortion is hardcore. All 10 tracks truly sensational.

I wish I could rediscover them but I don't think it'd be the same hahaha , but yes the first two are solid as fuck(this one is the best). If you like the first two listen to the cassette/comp Chords it has all their early stuff. Transatlanticism and Plans are masterpieces as well, you'll probably like Photo Album but its a vibe shift really and Narrow Stairs is pretty good too.

I love how this album feels instrumentally underwhelming and lyrically outperforms anything. It’s like it tells the average listener to stay away in a sense
