    Take the covers off the amps. Measure a square in the center of the amps a bit smaller than the fans . Take a dremel and cut out the square and use some self tappers to mount the fans directly on top of the amp cover to blow the hot air out of the amps. Also make sure that there's a few vents cut out of the bottom of the amps to allow air to flow in and out.

    Mine gets hot because where I live, it's 110 in the summers and when it's just sitting there off, the car gets crazy hot

    I actually like what u've done here. Dnt be so hard on urself bro. If this is the first time attempting this , it can only get better right 🤷‍♂️.
    I think u have inspired me to draw up some plans to do my own version of ur idea.i was thinking of using spacers to stand the amp off of my kicker box so there is a gap between itself & the box then just mounting a fan directly to the amp itself to draw air through it. But inm gna have to pull it out to see bc i cant remember if it even has vent holes underneath it. But today it hit about 98 degrees in baltimore maryland and i was stuck in traffic & she cut out on me. After cooling off for few minutes came back on . All of my connections are solid so it must be the thermal protection circuit thats throwing it into diagnostic mode.
    Anyway yea thanks for sharing you have inspired me lol.

    it's sound (pun not intended) excellent using 4 fans it should never get too hot in there now...
    what i did with my sub amp was cut a hole in the amp bottom plate and fitted a fan there. up to now (touch wood) it's worked great...
    incidentally the fan i fitted is also a light up one with LEDs

    Excellent job!!!! I'm definitely going to steal your fan idea! I'm installing some amps under my Jeep Wrangler seats and this will definitely help with cooling! Thanks again!!!

    Great idea I would not want it on the sub box without having some rubber anti vibration mounts to protect the amplifier circuitry from excess vibration that killed your last Pioneer

      If you build a solid box with proper internal bracing it won't vibrate

    Great idea, well execution. I'd like to do something similar, without steeling your idea. But great content, and good job on doing that setup it was very constructive, and I can appreciate something like this because it was well thought and well executed like I said before, just awesome. What else can I say....

    Súper cool idea. Mine over heating so much too. I have my amp screwed to my hack sit . Bit a little ground clearance.
    Be thinking about the fans too.
    Just looking at you got the little idea.
    What about.
    Add a relay . One side of relay powering the fans and other side being activate with the amplifier remote cable ?.
    That way just should turn on when the radio unit is on.

    Do some research on wild turbo fan if you do get them and try them you'll be surprised and glad you did but pushed down over 8 grams of wind force on electric scales:):):)

      not if you run the remote wire to a relay....

    • @ACommenterOnYouTube
      @ACommenterOnYouTube 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you dont want to run that fan from the remote lead directly.... You would use the remote wire as a trigger to a relay, then use the amp POWER to run the fan..

    Lose the smok stuff. Get a Drag or a Paranormal

    • @nilphoenix
      @nilphoenix 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or get an RTA and never spend a penny on coild again. You'd do well with it since you're handy and like to tinker. I use the Zeus from Geek Vape. Once you build a solid coil you can use the same coil for a year! When it gets gunked up just remove the cotton, dry burn, wire brush it clean, rinse, install cotton, snip-snip, and reassemble. My tank never dry hits and never leaks.
      Good build idea here on the amps. I was thinking of something like this but alongside my sub with no lid for max heat dissippation.
