    Dude, I want to thank you for a great post. Using your as a guide, I did almost the exact setup. Parts like fans and mini thermostat was used. Of course, not as cool and profesional loking as your, but it worked for me. Three fans blowing and one taking out the hot air. For three small amps.

      I was thinking of doing a setup like this, I was wondering how you wired the power and ground cables for the thermostat

    This is the best and thoroughly explained video on TH-cam. Not to mention, the cheapest yet just as efficient...I'm going to build one like this but I want to install plexiglass for the top. Would that be ok or would it be better to leave an open top?

    • @TahoeSteve
      @TahoeSteve  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I appreciate the kind comment and I am glad it helped. I think plexi would help the airflow over the amp, but I have not tested it yet. If you do, please report back!

    Steve, you are talented. I appreciate you sharing your project. You may want to consider using peltiers for "aggressive" cooling.

    Very good video I use the SMD input and output volt meters along with his temp meter also probably a little pricier then what you used but I build systems that are pretty big upwards of 1500watts just for the subs plus they can be mounted in plain sight and will put on almost like a little light show and ate made to be seen and blend in like they were meant to be there and they can even be used to cool the motors of your subwoofers cuz those do also get hot and in my experience is not good tends to unravel voice oils resulting in blown subwoofers. Great vide definitely help alot of people

      @@TahoeSteve so far I will probably rebuild original trans with a stage 3 sonnax high performance rebuild kit suppose to be capable to 1000@ the wheels seeing as I already blew 1 trans. The truck is stock ride right now but I will be doing a complete belltech drop round 3" in the front and 4" in the rear it's a 4x4 and I feel bad for dropping it but the wife is disabled and it would just make it alot easier for both of us. That’s pretty cool I might try this out for my truck if I do I’ll be rewatching this vid and I’ll carve your name in it🤣 give credit where it is due. But I would put spacers under my amp and have it about half a inch or so off the bottoms so air moved around the whole amp instead of every side but the bottom

    Nice video, but considering you hand your thermostat exposed to the elements, I’m guessing your fans turn on when your car sits in the sun?

    • @TahoeSteve
      @TahoeSteve  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nope. Everything is under the seat so that is not the case. Also, the fan is tapped into the switched ciruit on the amp, so the fan won't ever come on until the circuit has power.

    • @AJOSUE
      @AJOSUE 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tahoe Steve just to be sure, you put the fan positive into the amp turn on or the thermostat into the amp turn on (remote wire)

    Looking at the settings on your 5 channel amp....I noticed your rear speakers are all the way down, also couldn't really tell where your sub was low passed at, looks high! Try 80 htz high pass for the speakers, and 80 htz low pass for the sub. And turn those rears up! Did you voltage match out of the radio?... is that why the rear is down? (So many questions) I'd love to help, DM me if you have questions about tuning

    • @bmuenter
      @bmuenter 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just looked again, 100 high pass and 100 low pass. If you like it loud, the 100 high pass is good, but definitely turn that sub down to a lower low pass. Try 80, then try 70. And play with the phase of it... using a well recorded song with a good kick drum

    • @TahoeSteve

      I think you could get away with not making a box, but the enclosure makes it that much more efficient. Power goes to the power lead from the battery that goes to the amp and ground to ground.
