      Thanks for watching, fellow Osborne if you keep googling you may even find my art website as this is how I spend more of my time nowadays painting rather than videos.
      Enjoy your stay in Filey and hopefully Scarborough too

    Nice video. Always interesting to see someone’s story of where they came from. Find this type of video quite fascinating so thank you for sharing it with us!

      Todd Autry your most welcome, I would like to have done a much better job and taken my time. It was a last minute decision that I didn’t really have anything to take back of my home town. Next time I’ll spend a week filming with a much better camera and try for a range of shouts throughout the day with dusk and dawn images.

      Chris Osborne Adventures looking forward to it. So this wasn’t with your Canon?

      Todd Autry no this was with my little canon power shot. I’d already packed my other one as it was my last few days. It was really just to have a last look around town before I flew home and ran into my mate.

    Great video Chris, I was just wondering if I know you as you mentioned living on Grange avenue, I lived on Grange Avenue also from 1966 until 1977 then moved to Queens Terrace next to the old infants school.

      Thanks for watching. I was born in 72 and I think the only cammish I know was Neil but I do get old school names mixed up a little.

    This is such a lovely video Chris and my name is also Chris and live in Bempton 1 mile from the cliffs .Yes Filey is such a nice town and my wife Anne and I nearly moved there an number of years ago,but the house sale fell through.Anne used to work at the Yorkshire Bank next to the Police station down Murray street as you probably know they have now long gone. Many Thanks for your video .

      Thanks for spending the time to view my video and comment Chris. I was hoping to make a few more videos of the area but my holiday got cut short by certain events I didn’t see coming. I had my pocket money in the Yorkshire bank as a kid I remember it well. Hope you and Anne are doing well in the current environment and situation of the virus. I always take a walk out to bempton Cliffs each time I visit England. Anyway stay safe and I have more content on ChrisOsborneAdventures.wordpress.com and my art page ChrisOsborne.art where you will find painting from Australia and Yorkshire

    What a great video Chris. Nice to see both you and Mr Rounding. Next time you do a video you should try to show the schools (well the two that remain) and some of the shops that still exist albeit often with a different name. Going to have a nosey at your other footage now. Stay safe mate, Edward Ulliott

      @ChrisOsborneAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      tfzleeds thanks for watching, yeah your right I should have filmed more of the shops but didn’t recognise many of them anymore. The schools are tricky ones if you accidentally film them with kids in so I didn’t bother. Besides it changed it’s name too so nothings as we remember it.
      Anyway take care there is lots of videos on here to keep you amused for a bit. More adventures with Daz to come as I still have a backlog of videos including our Scottish trip

    Wonderful to see a Roman wall!

      @ChrisOsborneAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      June Robertson I was told it was supposed to be the start of a Harbour wall dating back to the Roman era. I was a kid when my dad told me so it could have also been a load of cods wallop.

      musehic1953 it’s a lovely place I lived there for 14 years before emigrating to Australia with my mum and stepdad. Not sure when I’ll get back at this stage was hoping to make it for my 50th in 2022 as most of my relatives are still in Filey and surrounds. You probably will recognise this watercolour I painted the other month then. chrisosborne.art/2020/12/06/filey-beach/ hope the link works for you. I think it’s called Sunny Corner but was unable to fine the name anywhere.

      dave c I really like Whitby but have only been a few times since it was a little out of reach when I was a kid. Each time I visit the UK one of my friends usually takes me there. I enjoyed going up the lighthouse for something different. Also walked the cinda track back to Scarborough excellent day.
      Anyway thanks for watching and enjoy your day whatever you decide

    Hi Chris just having another look at your video,many thanks for your reply,you said you enjoyed a walk up to Bempton Cliffs,well if you had gone up there on the 22/6/20 you would not have believed your eyes.With the relaxing of lockdown we are now getting inundated with visitors and complete MORON'S.My sister went for a walk and when she got to the bird sanctuary there was an R.S.P.D.warden clearing up a load of mess left behind from the night before by some inconsiderate trash.This consisted of beer cans beer bottles uneaten food the remains of a barbecue toilet paper (AND THE REST) and would you believe it a marquee (not a tent) all this just left.Any way as luck would have it someone had lost there mobile phone and on the phone was video and photo footage of the nights activities and the cherry on the top was there CAR REG NUMBER this is now in the hands of the Police lets hope the full weight of the law drops right on top of them. Cheers for now Chris.

      Chris Wardlow there is morons all over the world and we have a fair share of them over here spoiling it for the rest of us. Even in my younger years I always cleaned up after myself no matter where I go or what I do. Hopefully one day I’ll finish my Scarborough video and my Scottish trip. Or at least paint something English. Take care

      Marko Hermanos I don’t want to get in any arguments but I’ve never seen anything bad in Filey. I left over 30years ago but still have plenty of relatives I visit whenever I the UK. I’m sure if you look every town has a few dodgy people in it.
