I was at boarding school in York from 1968 to 1973. It is the only place I can think of in the UK that has actually improved since that time. Most other towns and cities in England have suffered serious decline over the last 50 years, but York has become more beautiful.

York is a lovely place to visit any time people are so very nice and polite l have been living in Yorkshire for a year now and that was the best move l have ever done l would say it is the best place to live
I was going through my ancestry and discovered many of my ancestors on my mom's side and her mom's side are from Yorkshire some few to several generations back. So it has me interested to check into the place. Hopefully one day I can find Britain and even Yorkshire to see where they once lived.

I love modern, 24/7 city life where most things are just available at just about any time. I can't deal with this, as soon as the sun sets, we close the shop nonsense in this day and age, ok. Those monkey days, and the monkey money they wanna pay people in this day and age should be OVER! ...Now, having said that like the big man I am, umm, well, you see...my wife, oh geez here we go...my wife loves the old stuff, old buildings, old lifestyle and what not. Farms, animals, etc ,etc....I often wonder if God is trying to tell me something.

I stayed in York in the 60s 70s when my dad was in RAF just love York so meny great memory's just a special place to live ❤
