Not true at all. Peyton Manning is a top3 QB in the history of the NFL. He is NFL royalty... more like 1 Manning for every 1000 Jamarcus Russells. For every Kirk Cousins there are 4 Jamarcus Russells

      Bringing this up is moronic.
Russel was a lazy addict, and the only reason he was drafted as high as he was because the Raiders owner liked him.
The red flags were BLATANT even at the time.
It's true that most picks are busts, but the Russell comp is r*tarded. Russell was an obvious bust to begin with.

@@ProfKisuto , the number of QBs that make it to their second contract is about 1 in 3, let alone whether they live up to those contracts. Peyton and Jamarcus are probably a bit too extreme of examples, being the poplar ends of the spectrum but there are definitely more Carson Wentzes than there are Carson Palmers.

I like Kurt Warner’s honesty. He says it is virtually impossible to know how these qbs translate to the nfl because their college tape is so schematically different. Between the ears processing is paramount.

Well, Kurt’s latest break down of Caleb vs Washington there are a lot of concepts that will be at the next level.
The NFL is now in more of a spread offence type but, playing it with different personnel.
We will see a lot more spilt safety coverages this year and quarters looks to help with overhangs on the RPOs and being flat footed on run support and those intermediate throws.
But yes, you never really know how any of these guys will translate physically and mentally

Yeah as Simms said people criticize Williams for trying to play hero ball too much but in his mind he probably had too to have a chance in games since his defense was lousy. Plus when you have his kind of talent it's easy to go for too much when you more often then not succeed at doing it.
And I like that he mentioned Allen who's really the poster boy for hero ball. But that's what I love about Allen. It's part of what makes him great and it's also why they're never out of a game. I just hope the Bears don't try to change him. He definitely has to dial it back, but he also needs to be who he is which is making plays when things break down.

If it doesn’t work out they can look at free agent qb or draft another in a year or two

Well last year every analyst but Simms said Young was a tier above Stroud. But after a year, Stroud is clearly leagues better and only Simms ranked him #1. By your logic you can no longer trust any analyst as they all got it wrong, big time.
Simms hits more often on QBs than anyone though. He also had hit on Maholme's, Allen, Herbert and Jackson when other analysts had people like Tua, Darnold, Rosen, etc above them.
Also, he had Mond 4th in his rankings that year. If you're gonna cherry pick on his 4th rated QB you literally should trust no analyst ever. The draft is not an exact science or else you'd never have early round Busts and late round stars. That's why you have to go off hit rate. And in that metric, Simms gets QBs right more often than anyone else in the industry.

And so help me God when you do that I’m going to be the guy that picks him up and then you will find out just how big you and I really are and power to the offense because I promise you the offense has the right to run right through the defense hit because you better brace your body for impact from the defense. And hang on to the ball no matter who you are because I’m sure the offense players are tired of his shit defensively too.
