Do we think the days of a Rex Grossman getting a team to the Super Bowl are over? Because I kind of do. The league has changed. You need at least a top 12 or so QB to even have a shot. Defense can still win championships, but you have to score points to get there.

Because Caleb's going to be judged against the guy he's replaced. Like it or not. And I certainly don't trust the Bears to put him into a winning position.
I’m a huge Chris Sims fan and I usually agree with everything that he says most of the time but this Caleb Williams shit is just absolutely ridiculous they’re acting like he’s the greatest coach football player to ever play and he’s just not at all I mean yeah, he’s got a good arm. I can’t wait to see how he does in the power level because I don’t think it’s gonna switch over as well as people think he is, not gonna go as far as to say he’s gonna be a bus, but I doubt he’s gonna be a top 10 quarterback in his first 2 to 3 years
Caleb will struggle his first year in the pros. He is taking a huge step up because he has played against pretty bad defenses. That scares me when picking him.
Well last year every analyst but Simms said Young was a tier above Stroud. But after a year, Stroud is clearly leagues better and only Simms ranked him #1. By your logic you can no longer trust any analyst as they all got it wrong, big time. Simms hits more often on QBs than anyone though. He also had hit on Maholme's, Allen, Herbert and Jackson when other analysts had people like Tua, Darnold, Rosen, etc above them. Also, he had Mond 4th in his rankings that year. If you're gonna cherry pick on his 4th rated QB you literally should trust no analyst ever. The draft is not an exact science or else you'd never have early round Busts and late round stars. That's why you have to go off hit rate. And in that metric, Simms gets QBs right more often than anyone else in the industry.

@@Chalk89 Agreed. But I think it's more of the accension of the excitement for the other two. No knock on Mr. Maye or the other down ballot QB's that could surprise.
@@richfarfugnuven6308 that’s actually JJ McCarthy
😂 wow the showmanship to build up Chris’s evaluations compared to others is in the first 2 mins was wild….i would say everyone jock rides Mel Kipers rankings to be honest cause he gets his evals out a year early then everyone else and the dude use to publish his own draft blue book lol
😂its funny how know one talks about caleb williams wobbley deep ball
Florio you’re one to talk about idea plagiarism. You steals Simms knowledge and takes ALL THE TIME. You can trace it all. I’m always so surprised that Simms lets you get away with it. Florio doesn’t watch any film at all. He doesn’t know shit and refuses to dedicate any of his “precious time” to doing his job and watching film. It’s far too easy to just steal for Simms and parade it all as his own thoughts
Simms doesn't comment, that after 4 of the 5 losses of USC ,Caleb Williams, didn't do a post game interview.Shows his immaturity.
in college you aren’t obligated to do post game. nobody also knew that there were games they won this year and he didnt do post game
Williams has mannerisms like Curt Warner & Marino. Bears problem offensive line and wide receivers. Is the best college player Williams or someone else? If so who?
Do we think the days of a Rex Grossman getting a team to the Super Bowl are over? Because I kind of do. The league has changed. You need at least a top 12 or so QB to even have a shot. Defense can still win championships, but you have to score points to get there.
The 49ers made it with Jimmy G. a few years ago.
We'll take Justin Fields.
Signed, the Raiders
You guys love bad QBs
@@yellowsnowman9157 That's what they said about Plunkett and Stabler and even that dude that played for New England..
Oh yeah and they hated Bradshaw in Pittsburgh almost cut him.
Where these guy’s go has a lot, and I mean a lot to do with if they succeed. I truly believe that some of the quarterbacks who failed, their careers would have been a complete 180 with another team.
If Mahomes had gone to the Broncos or Raiders crappy coaching, his career would look completely different. He got the ultimate QB Guru in Andy Reid...
Thank you! Can you please explain that to all the Vikings fans who are willing to trade Jefferson and several years of draft picks just to get a QB
Where you go is 70% of the equation.
Simms knows all.... just ask him. Lol
Mr Florio, I hate that you said Chicago won the Super Bowl because of the defense. What about Walter Payton? duh! The 85 Bears had the best rushing attack in the league and ranked 2nd in total offense......learn your facts.
Williams reminds me more of Bryce Young than Patrick Mahomes
You must not have watched him much.
Jayden Daniels better than Caleb easy
Isn't this what you guys said last year about Young, how'd that work out?
Arm strength was never mentioned with Young. Doing too much to win was never mentioned with Young.
Whoa whoa. Are you insinuating that teams and GMs aren’t honest during this time of year. That’s a serious accusation.
It's not the on field we have to worry about with Caleb. I would take Daniels at 1.
How much of the Kool Aid have you drank?
@@JohnAC4 you will see when he goes pro. He reminds me of rg-lll.
Obv Daniels is number 2 - don't even know why Maye is on the list
Historically only 1/3 of 1st round QBs pan out. That means only 2 of the top 6 this year.
More like 50% depends on what criteria you use. But more importantly only 5% of guys after the 1st round do - so any pick after the 1st is usually a waste of time (11 since 2000 have been at least OK)
The bears are looking at this as an easy decision
The team is almost set to contend
Reset the clock with Williams and give him a rookie salary for the next few years is a no brainier and even if his floor another Justin fields then they still think they can contend and the contract is cheaper
Clearly he’s better than JF but it shows how easy an decision it is
If it doesn’t work out they can look at free agent qb or draft another in a year or two
At least the rest of the positions are setup for the future so it’s doesn’t need a huge overhaul and they are not stuck with a huge QB contract to offload
I want to see these so called sports experts talk about William's mental issues, his father issues and all the other stuff that is going to make him potentially a big pain for the organization that drafts him. Cause next year there is going to be another guy just like William's at the top of the draft. Could be Sanders, Ewers or someone else, but we'll be right back here with them regurgitating what they're saying now.
Lmao, no QB in last years draft was seen to be as good as Williams, same with the class before that. The last time a QB got this much hype was Trevor Lawrence and before that it was probably Andrew Luck.
Seeing as none of these guys are mental health experts that would be kind of silly.
If you've ever watched Simms you would know that he watches the tape, that's it. He's going by their football ability. It's up to the GM's and Coaches to figure that other stuff out.
How is this an analyzation of the qb class? Only two were talked about and everyone knows Caleb is the first pick. If this is it…man o man will it be a boring lead up to the draft. Sorry Pats…guess there are no qbs left at #3
Seems like he trying to hold his rankings until closer to draft. Plus this just one opinion , half say Drake is #2. As a Commanders fan I don’t care just give me who my staff trust.
@@terencebarnes7393 honestly…it’s about time the Commanders got a guy who can rally the fanbase. I hope they nail it or even move up to get Caleb a local guy. But I agree, Simms is still watching tape of the other guys. Just felt short changed with this discussion
@@jeffmetcalf1733 Yea I get it with Simms. Yea we need a guy bad. I be having debate with other Commanders fans wanting to trade back. Which I understand but if there is a QB you like/love draft him and figure out rest later.
The combine should be mandatory for any player entering the draft. Everything in the combine should be also. Caleb Williams declining the medical exams is ludicrous. It's a business with billions upon billions. The owners should all agree to make sure he's drafted last in the draft. Chicago trades for the last pick, and drafts him there. Then make him back up.
Zach Wilson had no line, ran for his life.
They spent most on 1 qb and not the QB (s) class
Caleb Williams=Andre Ware
Drake Maye is better than Jayden Daniels. People will see soon enough
😂😂
Maye is too inaccurate
@@brandondillman5841 lmao no he’s not. He’s had a few bad whiffs in his career but he certainly is much closer to really accurate than he is inaccurate. 65% percentage and adjusted it’s 77%.
@@KingPolo985 my reaction when ppl say Daniels is QB1
@@Jayster3 idk. All the highlights I've seen on Maye he's consistently underthrowing the deep ball. There's a lot of tape out there of Maye missing easy throws several times a game.
"Plagiarize my thoughts???" The guy who manloved Zach Wilson so much that the kid still has the drool on him?
Antony Richardson!!! Please don't compare any other running QB to him!
Richardson isn't as fast as Daniels. He's huge and powerful with good speed, but he's not as fast.
Not a better arm than Penix.
Caleb has the better arm, but Penix has the better touch. Having seen both multiple times in person, Both are going to do well in the NFL.
Whatever Chris Simms says to do, do the opposite.
Well then Get ready to be shocked Chris Simms.
I think Williams is just overhyped, and in my opinion, NFL defenses are going to chew him up
Did Chris Sims say plagiarize his thoughts? 😂😂😂 He was in love with zach Wilson and kellen mond! 😂😂😂 he needs to hold his tongue cuz he's gonna say something stupid and needs to protect himself 😂😂😂 dudes hilarious 😂 😂😂
Jayden Daniels = RG3 2.0
If RG3 could have stayed healthy with the Shanahan's he would have had a great career. Can't predict injury.
Best running QB since Fields?!?! 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Fields wasn’t a running QB like Daniels. Daniels is more like Kyler and Lamar. Fields can run, don’t get me wrong, but he’s not pickin’em up and puttin’’em down like those 3.
Daniels at 1
Simms said that kellen mond was good 🤣👎
Mess me up Faja Topher
I stopped watching after 3 minutes cause I never knew you could say so many words without saying anything.
I don’t care florio is friggin annoying as hell
I’m curious who the last rated qb on this list is. Because that will be the best quarterback from this class
Daniels is not as good a runner as A Richardson. 😅
Lol you must be high. He’s a better runner just not as powerful . Check the stats
Daniels is faster, Richardson is more of a Cam Newton type of power runner.
The Bears would be CRAZY to allow Fields to go to Atlanta. CRAZY! Sure, Caleb's better. But you put Fields behind the #4 offensive line in the competition with Bijan and Kyle Pitts and he's going to win games. Which is a problem. Because Caleb's going to be judged against the guy he's replaced. Like it or not. And I certainly don't trust the Bears to put him into a winning position.
You forgot drake london, but it's also overstated how and rhe bears' oline is and the weapons fields' had. A lot of those sacks fields caused himself
Florio and his agent spiel…
chris simms one of the best out there
Simms once said Zach Wilson might be worth the #1 pick over Trevor Lawrence.
I think Caleb is a awesome quarterback but the mechanics in the pocket are there
I’m a huge Chris Sims fan and I usually agree with everything that he says most of the time but this Caleb Williams shit is just absolutely ridiculous they’re acting like he’s the greatest coach football player to ever play and he’s just not at all I mean yeah, he’s got a good arm. I can’t wait to see how he does in the power level because I don’t think it’s gonna switch over as well as people think he is, not gonna go as far as to say he’s gonna be a bus, but I doubt he’s gonna be a top 10 quarterback in his first 2 to 3 years
I don’t see it with Nix
I’m pretty confident that Simms does as much or more film study than most draft experts. Consequently, he’s been more accurate than most.
Caleb will struggle his first year in the pros. He is taking a huge step up because he has played against pretty bad defenses. That scares me when picking him.
Simms was adamant that Kellen Mond could be a starter in this league. His opinions on the position can be safely discarded.
So every analyst should be 100% right?
@@RLZ01 You can be a little off. Being *THAT* wrong? Nah bruh.
Shhhhh Simms I want Daniels to fall to 3
Not looking likely. He fits the Commanders offense perfectly with Kingsbury. They've already met with him several times.
Who tf is plagiarizing Chris Sims takes? He has been sooooo wrong year after year 😭

At least tell the truth Caleb is terrible under pressure .My grandma throws a better Deeo ball holds the ball dosent throw on time run backwards instead of get yards
JJ gonna be good
Ok sir I am going to voice my opinion, I really do like to see everyone be successful offensively, but defensively what I do hate, is this folker spearing the receiver, and trying to hurt the receiver. And so help me God when you do that I’m going to be the guy that picks him up and then you will find out just how big you and I really are and power to the offense because I promise you the offense has the right to run right through the defense hit because you better brace your body for impact from the defense. And hang on to the ball no matter who you are because I’m sure the offense players are tired of his shit defensively too.
