Ooh this sounds great! This is like if the battle was happening as you are disappearing and you're running out of time as you fight, kinda like special episode 5
When i played through the romhack and this came on, i had to set down my ds, walk away, scream to all my friends on discord, come back, and finish the boss. It broke me man. 10/10 song would recommend
"As you face the final boss, the cause of the worlds calamites, you feel your body becoming lighter, this world seems to trying to stop you from saving it, from changing history, from saving everyone, you bute your lip as your partner seems to focused in the battle to see your body begin to fade, but you stand your ground, you keep you head held high, as more and more of your body becomes transparent you never let up the fight, you want to throw as many licks into the foe to soften them up, if you never get to see the battle to its end, you just hope your partner can hold on and deal the final blow, knowing that the world is safe you dont fight it. You accept your fate."
@@TightSweaters4There could always be something wrong. Like some force is messing with the process, forcing you back before you can complete your mission. Not saying that’s what’s actually happening here. Just giving an example.
I heard a little bit of this song, stopped it, learned how to patch a PMD Sky file, did so with Bright future, and played the entirety of the game over the course of today and yesterday, just finished. And I really love how thematic this song is. One of the things I really appreciated about Fight To The Finish is that *it felt in place* it was more then just a 'cool final boss' theme. This song feels the same, and it's been the first Boss song for a bit that's really touched me. Thanks for the experience!
This song was super glitchy/loop-heavy in Bright Future when I played it, had no idea it was an actual remix - sounds way better here than it did in my game 'w'
I love this rom hack so much. Especially since the human actually leaves. Normally im a fan of the "they stay after coming to like the world" trope in pmd, But honestly it was super nice to have them leave and miss home and all. Do I wish they stayed? Absolutely. Do I _really_ wish they stayed? Absolutely not. And the "Let's be friends again" is what really sells me on it
I love it when area/event themes are turned into battle themes. Explorers holds a special place in my heart, since Explorers of Time was my first ever video game, and this made me tear up some. Beautiful remix, great job!
I know I'm a tad late, but i just stumbled on this theme by YT-Music's autoplay. Made me want to play the hack and all I can really say is... Bloody hell it's short, and that hurts in its' own right, but it's still worth the little time the hack takes up. I genuinely only grasped the idea of the plot and what it aims towards for a finale by the time i was close to the end.. Only then it 100% clicked for me, and holy moly, it's rare that a PMD game brings me to tears like that, let alone hacks; those tend to be fine, but not as powerful as the original games were for me. I'm well over 20 years old and I still cried just like back when I was a kid playing EoT for the first time... Good job! As a small critique of mine, and I know this is just me, don't take it too seriously: The movesets you're given are very one-sided; bounce-dig-spam is literally good against everything with 0 counterplay, as the boss's moves don't deal enough damage in between to matter. I'd either give the later bosses some higher IQ (as a few are in the group with the skill that makes you jump back a space on missing), or remove Scorbunny's ability in this case to lower the ridiculous 110+ damage per hit bounces' power. Libero is such a gamebreaking ability if you know your typecharts. Additionally, the item pools felt very one-dimensional, idk if it was intended or not.
Ngl it would be a cool twist if the final boss was another person turned Pokemon, desperately trying to stay with their partner, the second antagonist also being their partner. "What do you think will happen when I'm gone...? You'll just follow shortly after, we're one and the same afterall. The bonds you forged, the friends you've met, you'll leave them all behind just to save a world that doesn't even want you to exist."
This song is such a vibe, I never thought a soft song can turn into a theme to great like this. I'm definitely going to try the game out someday because this music alone screams "amazing story". Overall, I just love this sound track.
Everyone says im supposed to go back to being human...but what if i dont want to return! What if i want to live happily with my friends! Im not going back to a life where i had nothing! (Thats the vibes i get from this)
My suggestion to the devs of this hack: add a post-game story where the player actually gets a chance to stay. Also, the Alolan Ninetales would give the player of any Pokémon given by the test as a reward, not to mention she'll join your team if you make the trek back to her place. Any money you picked up prior to the final boss can be found in the bank. Of course, the post-game is a bit harder, but to make up for it, you can now gain levels normally!
A core message of the hack is that it's okay to say goodbye. I'd be kinda miffed if they added a post-game segment where the player character gets to stay because it would undermine everything they did to oppose Maelstrom. From a writing standpoint, it would totally shatter that theme of 'friendship no matter where you are' and would validate the main antagonist's demented beliefs by giving them what they worked so hard and threatened the world for; the player to stay. The Bright Future is a masterpiece of writing BECAUSE the player character leaves, because it subverts the often melancholy tone of PMD game's endings where the human character is sad to go, and instead makes it into a bittersweet moment of homecoming. To take that away would be detrimental to the plot as a whole.
When I first stumbled upon this music, I wondered what the context of this boss theme possibly be. I kept playing the rom hack, all the while wondering where the plot was going. What was all this building up to? I was NOT prepared for this. AT. ALL.
You know. This theme just makes me feel sad from all the memories that came back to me during my many playthroughs of Explorers of darkness but the theme also Invigorates my Determination to Try my Hardest.
Damn, this game was so good. Definitely one of the best romhacks I've played to date! Aaaaa thank you so much!! I'm just sad that most of the youtube coverage has this weird glitch where the custom music doesn't play properly and instead just plays a 1 second loop over and over
I really love how this is a mix of Don't ever forget into a last battle theme! I just really love this! Fantastic remix!💗Every time I hear this song I end up tearing up😭
I just finished the ROM hack not long ago today. The story was so touching! Ugh, I loved the interactions between Rockruff and MC. The twist on the last two chapters made me feel like a kid playing a PMD game for the first time again. Really good song here, it sounded really strange and glitchy when I played it. Was playing this hack, man the homesickness was so well treated i cried in an spiritual level, like what the hell the fact they show how you just gets more neutral and the things you liked to do gets more "lifeless" it was more than perfect

This soundtrack would fit the end of a story in which you must defeat your partner, who betrays you at the end of the story, having to battle against him, as the song is epic but somewhat sad at the same time.
Just beat the romhack myself today. I knew there was custom music in it but I didn’t know what it would be specifically. IMMEDIATELY had to come and listen to this again after beating it. Incredible work that completely encapsulates the emotion of this final fight. Wonderful work, truly!

This music and the hack its for are amazing. I just downloaded Bright Future this morning and the writing is fantastic. I wish there was gameplay outside the mystery dungeons but it's a small complaint compared with the overall quality of the experience!
Thank you! Yeah, I also really liked the hack, but I agree that it needs a bit of freedom outside dungeons. I've been told that they might work on the game to add more gameplay to it in the future, tho
You completely nailed the vibe, the epicness + the melancholy and sadness... It's truly incredible, instantly became one of my favourite remix of all times, good job
this song was so damn good that i got inspired to play the hack to completion. it took a LOTTA save state resets for me to beat the final boss, but that game was SO WORTH IT absolutely incredible work
wow I love this one!!! specially the drums at the intro, I think they do a great job of building up tension. I also kinda love the quiet bridge after the first chorus. I like the second voice trumpets nearing the end, though I think they feel a tad too intense and sometimes it sounds a bit broken. overall I like it a whole lot!!
Such a beautiful remix As someone who always thought of the PMD games' canon ending being as the credits roll, finding a story that talks about the tragedy of the hero & partner always being split apart, over and over again - and standing against it, refusing to accept that destiny was so beautifully written. It could easily be the main narrative of a future PMD game!
I've been hearing this track on my Google Nest smart speaker bit it could never tell me the name of the track so I intended to the same Playlist ony phone to get and save the totle😊
HOLY ARCEUS GUACAMOLE DRAGONFEATHERS! This rendition is absolutely FANTASTIC... if not VERY emotional as well, because... Yeah, the original end scene of Explorers of Sky always made me cry... And I'm even MORE surprised of myself for finding some EQUALLY emotional pieces of media that made me CRY just as much... But STILL, this is kinda a very sweet and oddly beautiful and tragic song that perfectly fits that of a tragic battle between former allies and friends forced to fight each other... For one reason or another, they sometimes end up being caught within the painful strings of fate... Whether it'd be them being corrupted, betraying you out of desperation because they don't want their close friend to leave... Or anything of the sort... OH, and here's a... admittedly FUN tidbit- as a bit of a Custom Music fan, I actually decided to play this track in JoJo Eyes of Heaven... during the second battle against Weather Forecast/Weather Report before he is freed from the anomaly... And... Well, I think I REALLY gave it a wonderful emotional edge- particularly due to the events that occurred in the Stone Ocean storyline (oh, ARCEUS... That one scene at the end of Heavy Forecast/Heavy Weather... yeah, I'll admit that it made me tear up when first watching... and it still does...) and I also wanted to mix it in with a bit of a hopeful tone as well... Sometimes, I do wonder if I am an emotional masochist with the Custom Music that I choose... Ha ha... And apologies for going on a tangent! I honestly can't help myself!
Asdfghj thank you so much!! I'm glad you liked it hehe, and I get what you mean, even if I never watched JoJo's myself, I enjoy people sharing their interests regarding music ^^
@@danirbumusic No problem-o and you're welcome! I'll admit, the special interests I have often align! XD And to be fair, I'm a proud Pokemon AND JoJo fan (I got into the Anime last year, and I'm glad that I DID~)! And honestly, I love doing a lot of fun Custom Mystery stuff myself- utilising tracks from games I love and giving certain battles a new kind of context, I guess you could say! I've done that stuff for a long time, whenever I love to play a game I love and I want to add something new to it! Glad that you enjoyed my talk, and I wish you good luck on your future endeavours! ;)
Going into the ROM hack after spoiling the plot twist for myself a bit, I decided the nickname "Asriel" would be fitting for the partner. I think it was a fitting name for him.
I’m so glad youtube recommended me this because this alone convinced me to try out the rom hack and the context makes this song even better. You nailed it!
Stumbled upon this recently and looked up a playthrough of the mod just to see what the context was for this song... The guy playing in the video muted the game during the final boss. I have no idea why, but that was a hilarious punchline to the hour I spent watching it (at 2x speed, but still).
I can tell you why they did... Basically the two custom songs I made were glitching for some people who played this (basically most of the people who uploaded it to youtube xdddd)
Let me guess. Do you have to fight your Partner as the Final Boss of this game? If so, that is *really* sad since they journeyed with you all this time only to betray you in the end. That kind of plot is in line with how sad PMD can get near the end.
@@danirbumusic Mhm. Probably a good direction to go if they ever do make another one. I don't see how you can top losing your partner for good in how sad the endings of the games are in any other way.
[SPOILER WARNING] This one hit really hard cause I have a character that has two relevant things for this case: Being a chameleon, and being a really cheerful individual. So I have named two important characters after them: -First, the partner in this game, seeing it more or less fit the character from the little I saw before deciding to try it -Second, the Sobble I picked as a starter long ago, when I first played Pokémon Sword and Shield So… I guess it was true in the end. Our paths crossed again, just in a different order
Usually hate commenting but I love this so much. Explores was my first ever video game so hearing this legitimately hits hard. I may not have the context on how this is used in the romhack but this makes me what to learn how to emulate & play the game! Music itself is just emotional, I love how fast paced it is, it makes me flashback to so many key moments in Explorers (Special Ep 5 specifically). One of the best parts of this were the violins just amplifying the medley at 1:05 and the soft music box afterward faintly playing a few notes afterwards was a nice touch...I am uh definitely not good at music terms so I hoped that made sense haha. Though I will say my only small nitpick is the one part where the music box runs a little too fast at 0:55 as I feels like it clashes too hard with the whole thing, though it might just grow on me after more listens. Sorry for the long comment but I just needed to say what I felt about this, it's just a really good listen! Do you think you could provide a download to the mp3 of this? Thanks for reading my dumb ramblings!
Aaaaaa thank you so much!! It makes me so happy to see how this impacts on people hehe. I get what you mean with the analysis, yeah, and I agree with you with the part at 0:55, I repeated the music box too much and I noticed much later 😅 As for a downloadable mp3, I have to check and if I have any update, I'll tell you
I really love this song, give the sadness of what it originally was to what is really needed for the main character. Also, what is the background beats at 0:55 → 1:05 and 2:22 → 2:33 as it sound familiar, I'm not talking about the Bass but the synth I think in the background. I know I heard it from somewhere. But other then that, Its amazing and drives the PMD community and hopefully series farther then what was imagined before! Keep up the good work and don't let that talent go to waste!
Thank you so much! The background instrument you mean (if it's the vibraphone what you mean) it's from Temporal Tower, I wanted to add that as a reference hehe
Your foe is fate itself. After a long journey in this world of pokemon, full of laughs and challenges, you and your partner stand face to face with the concept itself. The battles begin Fate's defenses seem non-existent, but its longevity in the minds of this world gives it the capacity to sustain an incredible amount of damage. As the battle rages, Fate shifts from attempting to eliminating you and your partner to attempting to remove you the interloper on its designs from the world. Can you free the world from Fate's tyranny before it can send you back from whence youu came?
Qué curioso, nunca imaginé un tema como este usado para una boss fight. Supongo que habrá algún motivo por el cual usar específicamente esta canción como base, pero ya me enteraré cuando juegue al hack. En todo caso suena bastante bien, buen trabajo ✌
This is crazy, Are you sure you don't work with them because I am afraid to tell you to me, this is an original song from the franchise! not from a fangame it's so fucking good and I am not joking! Props to you!
I've never even played the game. All I've done is watch someone do a playthrough and naming their names as web browsers and I still tear up. Personally feel it's a little too upbeat but overall it's a really good mix
One thing I don't like about the rom hack is that you can't chose the gender of your Player and Partner. I like Scorbunny and Rockruff, but I want to name them after my Cinderace and Lycanroc from the main series games and both of them were female. Plus the Player is kinda intended to be you as a Pokémon and I'm not male so there's just a little disconnect because I'm not playing as myself but as a Pokémon like the official PMD games
@@danirbumusic Más bien a tí por crearlo :), te quedó bastante chingón. También me da mucha curiosidad probar tu hackrom, y más si agregaste canciones custom como esta.

this song was so damn good that i got inspired to play the hack to completion. it took a LOTTA save state resets for me to beat the final boss, but that game was SO WORTH IT
absolutely incredible work
Asdfg thank you! I'm glad this made you want to play it hehe
I love this! It works really well for a final boss, even more emotional than dialgas fight to the finish!
Thanks! :D
wow I love this one!!! specially the drums at the intro, I think they do a great job of building up tension. I also kinda love the quiet bridge after the first chorus. I like the second voice trumpets nearing the end, though I think they feel a tad too intense and sometimes it sounds a bit broken. overall I like it a whole lot!!
Thank you!! I kinda don't know what you mean with the broken trumpets, maybe it's because I didn't use the soundfont correctly? I'm not sure
Such a beautiful remix
As someone who always thought of the PMD games' canon ending being as the credits roll, finding a story that talks about the tragedy of the hero & partner always being split apart, over and over again - and standing against it, refusing to accept that destiny was so beautifully written. It could easily be the main narrative of a future PMD game!
Thank you ^^
I've been hearing this track on my Google Nest smart speaker bit it could never tell me the name of the track so I intended to the same Playlist ony phone to get and save the totle😊
XD
And to be fair, I'm a proud Pokemon AND JoJo fan (I got into the Anime last year, and I'm glad that I DID~)! And honestly, I love doing a lot of fun Custom Mystery stuff myself- utilising tracks from games I love and giving certain battles a new kind of context, I guess you could say!
I've done that stuff for a long time, whenever I love to play a game I love and I want to add something new to it!
Glad that you enjoyed my talk, and I wish you good luck on your future endeavours! ;)
P.S: If you're curious, Eyes of Heaven is one of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure video games! I felt like I needed to CLARIFY! XD
@@niamhwallace8779 Ohhhh I see asdfgh that's pretty cool!
Going into the ROM hack after spoiling the plot twist for myself a bit, I decided the nickname "Asriel" would be fitting for the partner.
I think it was a fitting name for him.
Engage the Enemy at Home
(in all seriousness, sounds amazing
lmaoooo being compared to a xenoblade song is always a good self esteem boost for me (also thanks!)
Finale
I am comparing this to an Undertale song
Ohhhh that one is great too asdfg@@QuasarBuasarEeveeTheUziFan
When the enemy at home is getting engaged. ❤
Never done a hack before, but honestly I'm pretty tempted now, this music alone is amazing
Thanks! :)
A PMD "Finale Undertale"
Found you, Main.
the hack was very nice with a decent story, props to that being their first hack! + great composer choice for custom music lmao :>
Thank you asdfghj
Decent is a very Offensive term here in the Mystery dungeon community, especially when talking about the story and OST.
@@MysticalHaloZ I think he meant decent just for the story, not the ost hehe
@@danirbumusic sorry, I just take People saying that a EOS rom-hack's story is decent very seriously.
i simply want the best for the community as a fellow romhacker, pacing was a bit fast but I think it got the message across very well
I’m so glad youtube recommended me this because this alone convinced me to try out the rom hack and the context makes this song even better. You nailed it!
Thank you!! ^^
Cried almost instantly 10/10 remix or whatever you would call this.
Thank you so much!! :D
Well, I won't spoil the ending, but that option sure is sad
@@danirbumusic Mhm. Probably a good direction to go if they ever do make another one. I don't see how you can top losing your partner for good in how sad the endings of the games are in any other way.
Yes and no.
I love this so much it’s crazy
Asdfg I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The hybrid I never knew I needed
THIS IS AWESOME
Thanks!! :D
man this fills me with nostgia and i haven't even played this game

DAMN, the harmonization in this song is PEAK!
Thank you asdfghjk
such an amazing fight
i just finished the rom hack a few minutes ago :3
Just found this thanks to PMD Explorers of Heaven and Hell thank you for making one of my fav games even better😊
Asdfgh I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!
I love twist with the title.
I always get chills i love it
I'm glad you like it ^^
An exceptionally cool concept for a final boss theme, considering what the final boss is after all
I'm glad you like it ^^
I love this song ❤
Thanks, I'm glad you like it :)
Awesome!
I want to play this romhack so bad but ik damn well im going to cry harder than i did in the main game and i am NOT ready for that 😭🙏
it's kind of ironic, where if your body is slowly fading away you know you're winning because the future is changing...
Even if you're forced to leave prematurely, your partner can do this.
HOW IS THIS SOOO GOOODDDDD
I'm glad you like it aaaaaa
its so good its illegal
[SPOILER WARNING]
This one hit really hard cause I have a character that has two relevant things for this case: Being a chameleon, and being a really cheerful individual.
So I have named two important characters after them:
-First, the partner in this game, seeing it more or less fit the character from the little I saw before deciding to try it
-Second, the Sobble I picked as a starter long ago, when I first played Pokémon Sword and Shield
So… I guess it was true in the end.
I get what you mean with the analysis, yeah, and I agree with you with the part at 0:55, I repeated the music box too much and I noticed much later 😅
As for a downloadable mp3, I have to check and if I have any update, I'll tell you
Okay, I just uploaded it to Soundcloud and you can download it from there, the link is in the description!
@@danirbumusic ahhhh thank you!!!
This sounds SOOO FUCKING GOOOOOOD.
Thanks aaaaaaaaaa
I'm a simple Tox, I see Tox I click
You're like me then, hehe
Interesting.. hmr. Okay. You've got my attention with whatever this hack is.
EVEREST, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?
It really says something about this beautiful series if I tear up at the first few notes of this song 🥹
Very nice song!! It sounds so hopeful :)
Thank you!! Yeah, this theme carries so much emotion knowing the context hehe
Increible
I would like to see a extended version of this song
actual fire
thanks :)
Muchas gracias!! :D

This is crazy, Are you sure you don't work with them because I am afraid to tell you to me, this is an original song from the franchise! not from a fangame it's so fucking good and I am not joking! Props to you!
Asdfghj thank you so much!! I wish I could actually work on an official PMD game hehe
Isnt this a remix of a sad song in pmd explorers of sky
Yup, it's a remix of I don't wanna say goodbye
@@danirbumusic I thought that song was called don't ever forget
@@kokylee8098 I've seen it called both ways, so no idea
I've never even played the game. All I've done is watch someone do a playthrough and naming their names as web browsers and I still tear up. Personally feel it's a little too upbeat but overall it's a really good mix
I see hehe, well, I know this song is not for everyone. But thank you ^^
Now I can't listen the original song the same way :')
the final boss was the fight to tell pikachu goodbye😢
One thing I don't like about the rom hack is that you can't chose the gender of your Player and Partner. I like Scorbunny and Rockruff, but I want to name them after my Cinderace and Lycanroc from the main series games and both of them were female. Plus the Player is kinda intended to be you as a Pokémon and I'm not male so there's just a little disconnect because I'm not playing as myself but as a Pokémon like the official PMD games
What game is this??? Ive never heard of it, but the song is nice
Thank you! It's a hack rom of explorers of sky that recently released, there's a link in the description
The real question is if this will ever be on soundcloud
Hmmmm perhaps I could upload it there
