i was really hoping for more of the Neo Classical stuff. All the albums after the Odyssey haven't really done anything for me. Cant blame a guy for being done with that stuff after writing so many album chalked full of that style. i'll still probably end up buying this album. Michael Romeo is such a beast.

Michael Romeo has always been awesome, but he just keeps getting better and better.
Johnny Mac is sounding insanely good on those drums. And the production is super crisp too.
This song came randomly in Spotify without me knowing who was playing. The first thing I thought: "Wow, this sounds a bit like Symphony X and I'm loving it!". I really love that you can really tell its Michael Romeo's behind the song. Kick ass riffs and awesome orchestration! Cant wait for the album!
25+ years of songwriting experience in this song are tangible. The album will certainly turn out to be a masterpiece for many. Who could seriously despise this anyway?

Tarks Gauntlet I still like more the neoclassical influences from Dark Chapter than this kind of modern metal
Dark Chapter would be a lot better I think with some tighter mixing. I like dark chapter but might prefer the more metal edge of the new stuff. That said, mid-period symphony X was my favorite. When there was still a lot of the "Symphony" part, and a good chunk of "X" to go with it. Now it's mostly X.

That's riffs mixed with melodic chorus, the orchestral things above plus that progressive metrics, are a real unique for me. Please continue doing this! You deserve more attention man!
