I disagree about maize Yields it's because we are subdividing the agricultural land in the country into plots instead of consolidating land for commercial agriculture. Let's not talk about an urbanised population this is part of the problem. Forcing rural communities into concentration camps in cities to pay for Internet and get on the national electricity grid abd underdeveloping rural areas leaving roads to dilapidate. We are deliberately killing our agricultural productivity and food security by importation of grain because agriculture is now devolved to counties and makes for lucrative tebders. We must produce our own food and diversify it. We Kenyans are blessed even with oceans and lakes. How can we rely on one type of food from a landlocked country like Zambia? We need different types of minds. Israel produces its own food and for export though its a desert country South Africa too a desert country is producing for local consumption and for expert. Those Euro bonds and binding Kenyans to financial ruin. Stop borrowing. Period.

The problem with today's journalism: Shallow, devoid of research and factual interviewing. Always after sensationalism and click bait. Wahiga must have been in diapers in the 90s or he is just a poor journalist if he has never heard of or researched Moi era SAPS and the ensuing govt retrenchment pogram. But then again citizen is Kuzimia and like raila they both suffer selective amnesia. what a waste of an interview!
