This was the most helpful gun assembly video I've ever seen. Thank you so much.

Thank you very much for the detailed video! I was installing a M*CARBO spring kit for my Maverick 88 trigger and a pin came out allowing a bunch of the parts to fall free. I used your video to reassemble the trigger and it works great. Thanks again! 👍

Thank you Beginning Reloading, are there any other 'How-to' videos you would like to see, Mossberg or otherwise?

Excellent video! I wish I had found this before I spent 3 hours (and 6 lesser videos) trying to sort out the reassembly sequence. I slipped while installing the M*Carbo spring kit, and parts went every where. After 2-2.5 hours I put it aside, got some sleep and a fresh perspective, and had it done in 20 minutes or so after work. This video would have saved a lot of time, and some choice words. Saved in a playlist, subscribed. Thanks

    Excellent video.
How often this mechanism should be disassembled and cleaned?

Hi Periklis, I would only disassemble the trigger mechanism after excessive use or if there was a problem.

thanks for a great video! do you know if it is possible to switch safety button vice versa for the left-hand operations or do the modifications of the existing one to make it possible?

Hi IOpa, thank you. I think it is possible to switch the safety to a function for a lefty. I would suggest 3D printing it. The key bits to consider would be the timing on the spring and stop ledge would need to be switched over so it worked in reverse. I hope that helps.

I got an weak hammer spring on my maverick 88 12 gauge, I had failures to fire, I had fired a few times then it went off last night, looks like the primer was barely dented just enough to go off and I'm having trouble finding a hammer spring for the maverick 88, the maverick is nearly identical to the Mossberg 500 except the Mossberg 500 uses a metal trigger housing, the maverick 88 uses a cheap plastic trigger housing. My question is, is the mossberg 500 hammer spring interchangeable with maverick 88?

Yes, from what I can tell, they are the same.
