Making a Workshop Apron

I've been wanting to make a workshop apron since I started Legacy Brand Leather over 7 years ago. My hesitation came from my inexperience and lack of confidence, thinking that I would mess it up and waste both time and materials. Let's throw caution to the wind! BLEH!
Here I'm using some denim I picked up from JoAnn's over a year ago (yes, for this specific project, and yes I've been putting it off for that long).
Please note: I don't really work with fabric or garments, so... I'm doing my best here with help from my wife, Rachel.
For the leather accent pieces, I'm using Wickett & Craig's Buck Brown Harness leather 6-7 thick.
The hardware was procured from Tandy Leather Factory.

Correct. However, since the denim is not waxed, I'm guessing steaming it when it gets dirty might help, but I'm not too worried. I'm actually looking forward to what this will look like after a few years of mess! 😃

Thanks! Unfortunately, I didn't keep track of that on this project, but I'm wishing I had. I would ballpark between $50-$60 for materials, not including labor.
