    Hi Patrick, I’m not sure if you remember but I was watching you and simone on the practice court on day one of the US Open and gave you an emphatic “I love you Patrick” to which you waved and continued. You have helped me grow as a player physically and mentally (picked up a racket for the first time 4 years ago and now on my college team) and watching this video was super weird experience as I only speak English but yet understood almost every pointer you were giving him. Keep doing what you’re doing as there is no better instructional video on TH-cam. Hope to come to your academy someday!

    She is amazing, and beautifully proves Patrick's point: it’s not the muscle, it’s how loose you are. It doesn’t hurt if you are doing the correct movement and have immense talent, either... Looking forward to see her on the tour in a few years!

    The “chop” motion with a very loose wrist seems to be the secret to almost every shot in tennis to get the forearm to pronate.

    hi patrida 😄nice video ,but the little guy knows how to serve pretty well,the transition from step 1 WITH the racket to step 2 is huge,and NO THAT EASY (plus who taught him that quickly the little step before hitting😆 the kid is a hustler.personally i do not step,i hit like roger and stef😁).otherwise anyone would serve this way.but..with a LOT of practice ..

    Stp j'aimerais comprendre la différence entre le lift et le slice

    • @TomTom-em2xl
      @TomTom-em2xl ปีที่แล้ว

      Le lift : balle frappée sur un axe 7 h-11 h (balle passe bien au dessus du filet et bondit après le rebond, et rebondit vers la droite pour un droitier). Le slice : balle frappée sur un axe 3h-9h (rase le filet, s’écrase après le rebond et rebondit vers la gauche pour un droitier).

    • @progressivedemagogue8480

      No. You shouldn’t use the wrist at all. The forearm snaps, not the wrist.

    • @seanoneil3886

      Patrick always seems to be suggesting to use the wrist for power on all the strokes.

      Yes and it’s actually very bad advice. It’s the way to injure yourself. The wrist is involved but you shouldn’t try to use it.

      It’s kind of like 👍🏼 flicking your thumb into a thumbs down position. Your wrist doesn’t bend like a swans neck, it stays straight and the whole forearm turns.
      It’s kind of like pouring out a bottle behind your back (racket drop) and then you swing and pour out the bottle in front of you.
      Try that image.
