This is the passion: the world class coach teaching 10 year old young player(maybe even younger) and sharing with whole tennis community. Thank you so much Coach Patrick ❤
Very good tip here . Whenever I slice the ball , I normally overslicing the ball with no power , because I work it with my wrist too much ..maybe next time I will try to just trying to swing with the frame and see how it will come out ..
I'm ready to hit the best slices ✊ thanks Patrick. There is this older lady at the club that slices the ball a lot. Recalling her serve motion, every time it seems she's about to hit the ball with the frame.
Like all experienced coaches Patrick knows how to teach through exaggerations. I point this out so that you don't think that in reality the racket comes to the side of the ball, that's just a mental image. If you do a super slow motion video and freeze a slice serve at contact, you will see only a few degree angle difference compared to a flat serve. It's important to understand this so that you do not take the instruction literally as the ball will go nowhere if you actually try to hit it on the side, it will just spin sideways and drop into the court.
Remember it’s important to walk before you can run. These are all important points, but for a 35 year old beginner all I would suggest is focusing on getting your serves over and in, consistency and placement. At a club level get the ball back in play 3 times you’ve probably won the point, and if you can have a second serve as good as your first (not 100% power but both at 80%) it will give them less opportunity to attack on your second (first serve let them play, second serve make them pay). Then you’ll meet players who only chip it back and slice, and play to your backhand (bully backhand). The more power you get on your serve chances are the more pace it comes back at you. Focus on consistency and staying in your points, having a mix off defence and offence. Once you feel confident and start playing sets, start to feel out your opponents/surface. Playing on tarmac with new balls at your local club you might want to learn a flat/topspin serve with direction, wet Astro then your slice will be far more effective especially for lefties serving to a backhand on Advantage side. Hope you don’t see this as criticism and take it as friendly advice from another lover of the game :)
On the deuce side? If you're a righty you'd be better off kicking it down the T, the slice would suit you more if you were going for the T on the add side
Aim in the wrong box. Having the racket tilted as Patrick advises is just a teaching cue, just as 'carve around the ball' (which he dismisses at the end of the video) is just a cue. If you actually hit with the racket angled as he instructs, the ball would go sideways rather than to the other side of the court.
It's must be very funny to teach children of rich people slice serve in Nice by beautiful weather. Patrick, could I work for you please? Best Regards! :)
so if I aim to the T with slice grip, it should go in yeah? and the follow through, is it tend ends to the left side or to the front? (i'm a right handed)
The youngster is very talented.

Si j'avais pu avoir un coach comme ça quand j'étais jeune... avec mon talent naturel, je serais au moins 30/3 à l'heure qu'il est
Thank you Mr Patrick.

The same for an 56 beginner
This is great! But what if I want to aim the T with slice??

Sir please make a video for running shots
Where would you then aim if it was on the other side (if the score was 30-30) as a lefty like her? Still tee, or out wide?

Hello sir . There is a request you can please make a video on how to stay consistent on running ball . It will be really helpful
Hello, thank you for your message. Great idea, I will think about it with my team!

The tennis serve is a crucial shot that can greatly impact your performance on the court. Learn it
4:12 the coach coached by THE COACH xD
I'm hitting slice exactly the same way aiming on the T with closed racket. But the ball goes too much to the left. Why is that?
Torso rotation ?
because you hit on the side of ball. The swing must go to the right
I recommend you see another coach
It's all angle.
On dirait qu au niveau des pieds c est pas si terrible. Les pieds bougent beaucoup et dépassent beaucoup la Ligne avant la frappe j ai l impression 🧐
She even hits harder than me lol
sa turk war mi
