Thanks Jake for this behind the scenes! Learned a lot. Still wondering how to correctly convert Canon Clog footage. Since Sam shoots with Canon, what was the input color space and input gamma you've set for converting to Rec709? 😊
I've seen some people at Colorist Factory suggest to put your Negative Stock Lut at the front of the node tree, after the balancing node, and then your Print Stock/Emulation Lut at the end. If you're not using plugins like Look Designer........... I've experimented a little bit with it...... In the end it's all just what you results you're satisfied with really🤷♀
@@jvke.p It's basically treating it as if you shot on that film stock, which happens first obviously, and then your film print emulation is exactly what it sounds like. When you print to that film stock for delivery. Course you kinda need to play around with your key opacity on each node but yea.......... I know so many of those plugins are doing it like that though. Makes sense. I'll probably experiment with it some more at some point. Easier to do that when you don't have the 💸💸for all those plugins LOL
hi brother May I ask if you did the conversion of different cameras before doing ACES cst? I see your IDT is arri logc. If it is DJI, do you use cst to switch to arri log?
It’s really simple! I’ll cover in more detail soon! However, I think you might be overcomplicating it. I showed you EVERYTHING I did in the aces node. Nothing fancy.
Thanks Jake for sharing! I would love to see a FilmConvert video it would help out a ton! Thanks!
anyone else notice i’m SLIGHTLY out of focus😂🤌🏼 thanks RED.
1st thing I noticed🥲😅😅
Very contrasty look! But I like it... keep sharing your stuff man we really appreciate it
Count on it!
Jake what color Management do you used in that project or acecs transform
Keep sharing. You are a true professional Jake.
Thank you so much friend!

@@jvke.p That's fast, appreciate it. So Input color space (Clog) and input gamma (cinema gamut), right? 🙏
Jake, I want to see a film convert based tutorial
Duly noted.
Jvke !! Some tips to avoid loss of color and contrast after exporting the final video pls🙏especially "Quicktime and TH-cam"
Use Windows)))
It’s all in those export tags! I’ll cover it!
@@justinkfilms I tried windows for a while. It’s just not the same 😉
What monitor do you use
Flanders DM240
You're a very articulate and likeable dude. New sub 🤙🏼
Thanks a lot man! Happy to have ya here.

That’s a good way to do it too! I suppose you could use that negative in a shared node and use it as a scene look definer. Good stuff!

How much is it to have you edit one of my travel videos?
edit or color?

Good catch! In that case, I might have used cinematch to convert DJI to Arri!
I wanted to see how you did the groups and convert with aces in more detail :/
So confusing

@@jvke.p isnt aces 2.0 about to drop? would love a walkthrough of that workflow for sure :) setting up node trees etc.

What the color space you use jake?
Rec709
So you not use the color management?
@@yutubatok4436 I do. Just within the node tree. But the color space I render in is still rec709
Ok I understand, thank you for the information 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Glad to see you back !
Which timeline color space do you use ?
Thank you! TL colorspace was Rec709
Should have been Arri log C!
Why da heck didn't receive notification !!
Take that up with TH-cam! I need my people notified 😤
