    In IT field, I have never seen / heard salary inequality just based on the gender!!

      Investigate this seriously, it is true in all fields of understanding.
      Women's leave during pregnancy affects their salary and promotion. On the other hand, when their husband has a child, he may have to show family responsibility and give him extra salary

      @@suman_mpm you are talking about situations / scenarios.. “only if she is goes on maternity break” it has nothing to do with gender inequality.. anyone takes a break be it for any reason would be denied for good hike/ promotion in the upcoming cycle..

      And in IT no two person with same role or experience will get same salary.. everyone’s package would be different.. its upto your negotiating skill, no of jumps, market demand and the timing of your jump determines your package.. A person with 10 years experience in same company would get less than 8 years experienced person with couple of jumps

    Gender inequality is mostly happening in small companies. Not in established IT companies. In fact, women are respected more, give more opportunities in the name of gender in many companies, as company wants to showcase them.

    Inequality is there in disguise, corporates don’t pay same salary for everyone. It depends how we negotiate when we join, women are not negotiating well because of low confidence or risk of loosing the job offer. Surface level it looks like women are getting equal pay, but truth is they are not asking for it. Working overtime is not really a sustainable way in long term, men/ women should spend time with family or on health.

    Thanks for your good questions and salary videos of people at Chennai locations. I have one suggestion to make it to you. I want to see new job growth, Sales, Marketing, Supply chain, growth estimates of small and medium firm employees. Please interview MBA degree employees to check on the job they are doing, their dreams, growth potential. If a company grows fast, it can hire more workers. That will improve employment for others. Thanks. You are doing “Best” job! I watched this video. My comments are based on your previous videos!

    You interviewed many freshers or recent grads and kept asking them for their opinion. I don’t think you will get the right answer doing that.

      This is a topic that needs to be widely discussed across the country and I think Chennai is not the best place to interview this

    In corporates, depends on how you are useful and what you are bringing to the company, Just based on gender you won't get anything.

      They are not medical doctors but in western countries chiropractors need to hold a doctoral degree in chiropractic medicine. So they can call themselves doctors just like how a phd person can call themselves a doctor.

      @@RoadrunnerCoyote wow. I just learnt that. Really. We know it’s a doctoral degree and u earn a doctorate. But when u refer someone who has a phd you refer to them as Doctor so and so. Go check out how students call professors who have a phd degree. It’s Dr X Dr Y etc.
