Thanks for the video! I just started my FIL's Farmall Super AV for the first time in 20 years yesterday. He has an old horse drawn Cole Duplex planter that I am trying to rig up behind the SAV. I noticed your planter doesn't have the depth adjustment "skids" either. How do you set the depth, just using the 3 point, or is somewhat self leveling? Thanks again.
I think this was originally a horse drawn planter. The levers allowed you to engage/disengage the planter plates when turning around at the end of the rows or other times you did not want seed dropping.
They are to disengage the planter and fertilize units for free travel while not in the field, this was originally a horse drawn planter converted to be used with a tractor. The two metal brackets on the sides of the fertilize hopper are for bracing the wooden handles. Thank for watching,!
Thank you. Always love watching anything on gardening 👩🌾 God Bless.
Great Videos!! Keep up the great work
Cole duplex planter. That's what we're using. Have a few different plates for it. Using one side for corn and the other for beans
Enjoyed the video. I think they call that planter a Cole Duplex. I don’t know a whole lot about them.
Enjoyed watching brother

I guess it levels itself, it's never been a problem for us but we do have those skids we've never used them.
A real farmer wears low back overalls. Good luck with the garden.
I love low backs, to me they are more cooler and comfortable.
Do you have an extra corn plate?
No sir I don't, but I would like to find a one point hitch to put on it to use behind my 140 I just bought
Good video brother! Can you tell me what the two levers behind the wheel are for? Thanks!
