Thank You sir . The thing about those Cole planters versus like my IH planters there’s a high chance you can still get parts new for the Cole because there still in business.
Thanks for the video Joey, Roger, Sammy, and Stan for donating! I rigged an older model horse/mule drawn Cole Duplex planter up behind the Super AV. I thought i had posted a video but couldn't find it. I'll have to rig it back up when we get back to Al. This is great work and an inspiration on how I can fabricate a better set up for the Cole if I don't use the 178 or 180 belly planter on my Super A that I bought last summer. Still need to get it working and the fertilizer distributor working also. I might need to get some dimensions on the bar that lifts the front section of the planter. Lengths, bends, etc. God Bless!
@@bobbyscott8024. That is so true, and possibly not appreciated as much as it should be! There are some “channels” that are almost a waste of time to watch. Jtwes puts a great deal of effort into a quality video. JMO.
Both of you are truly blessed to have each other. Invaluable to work together as both of you do. It's a calming feeling to see you guys work on something. Thank you for the videos.
As always great video. I know how you feel about Rodger. I’ve got a couple of them in my life I call them my second and third dads. Good memories and a lot of knowledge gained through them. God bless.
Thanks for sharing the video Joey. Nice job. That's going to be a nice planting tractor. Like how it fits on the tractor. I fully understand what you mean about Roger. I'm the same with some folks up here like that. Be safe driving to and from Raleigh to work.
Enjoyed the video. That Roger is a cool cat. Y'all make a good team. I love working on the old far malls. I just brought home another super a 51' model. Its well used but had been sheltered. Its got evidence of severe trauma and an amazing repair. The front end had gotten pulled on so hard that it broke the 2 big flanges on the block where the front bolster attaches. A highly skilled welder braised it all back together. Best I ever seen in my 35 years of welding. It had been repainted and obviously had run for many years since. I think im gonna get it running again. Thanks for the videos guys.
Great video. I have a IH duplex planter the goes on the back of my Model A. I have not got any plates for it yet. I mainly bought it because I had never seen one for an A. I use the A belly planter on that tractor now. It was very difficult finding the planter and fertilizer hopper for the straight A. I wish I could bring it with all of its stuff to your plow day one year. Thanks for sharing buddy.
Buddy boys I love these wrenchin videos…I wish I was there with you! Thanks for sharing. These planters are really getting hard to find, I need one and a side dresser for my 140.
Hey Joey and crew. Thanks for the informational video. I’m glad the A went to a good home. I see Roger had installed an exhaust “flapper valve” and changed out the antique seat base. In addition the 2 part epoxy on the block weld seepage is great. I really appreciate the fact that the “old gal” will be put to doing what it was built for. I’m proud of the efforts you Sammy, and Roger have put into the A’s. Great results. Janice gets credit as well as Leno. Thanks to all and keep the information coming. Stan here.
Cool rig 👊

@@Jtwes Yeah, you have to buy 3 planters to put together one good planter with IH
People like Roger are invaluable. Back when I was farming, I had several old farmers who were my technical advisors and no doubt, Roger is yours Joey.
Yes sir that would be correct.

I believe I have one of them planters at pecan grove that I found in the woods.
Might be still good. I would pick it up with the loader and take it to the shed. Worst case scenario Mrs Wanda can make a neat flower pot out of it.
@@Jtwes I actually found two different types of planters in the woods. Not sure what they are.
Neighbors sometimes just become family with memories that last forever. Another great video thanks guys!
Well said Elliott.
Good job Joey! Y'all made it look easy! It's nice to have someone close to help you who knows what they're doing, isn't it?
It is. It is very time consuming but I cut the video down quite a bit.
It’s also nice to have someone like yourself take the time to post this so others will know how to go about it! 👍😉🙏🙂

I have the exact same planter but with a 1pt hitch. I had no idea this was how it was supposed to be mounted.
If my memory is correct seems like Roger has one with a one point hitch .

Thank you. I’m glad you have enjoyed them.

Yes sir Brother Nick.
Good job Joey!
Thanks Tim
Great video.. I could tell the way you talked that Roger was more like ken than a friend. All the best from Greensboro NC.
Thanks Gurney
You would be correct.

It would work good on hills being close in like that.
And I can't wait to hear the verse at the end each time. God Bless!
Me too
Thanks James That’s encouraging to know.

Yes sir that brazing takes some skill
My super A start with drawbar in front planter is pulled with, next chain is attached to front of sword then lift arm , pipe is used to lift in rear
Another great video with Roger! If he’s not careful he will become a regular on the channel. God Bless!
That would be fine with me.
Have a transmission too

Great video……you will love that Cole planter.
Won’t miss a lick if you go bout fast as a mule walks.
Keep us posted 😇

I liked the end part about roger family even tho he’s not kin folk
Unfortunately a lot of times you’re closer to people like that.
@@JtwesSo true Joey. Sometimes your friends are actually better to you than your family!
Sammy’s like say what
He knows better he just forgot.
You and Roger make a great team
You do too Janice.
I’m ready to see Roger become a dewalt fan
He has quite a few of them.
Good job filming Sammy
I’m glad you didn’t knock your muffler off
I measured it before I drove it in.

We’ll have to get some field time video of it.
Nothing compares to the Grandma dinners. Or “cat head” biscuits for breakfast.
Radiator cap for a 66 Volkswagen
Two things you don't see very much on a Super A around here (eastern NC:) A PTO shield and no drive for the fertilizer attachment.
I need to get a fertilizer gear for mine.
You are so smart. I’ve always wondered how they put these planters on . Now I know . Another great video.
Thanks Bart
I have a set of long arms if you need them
Im.looking for a fast hitch planter
Burch Tractors may have one.
It's the way God made us , it up to us to understand happiness in kinship
Amen to good friends good dinners an good families and good faith Amen
I like Roger!
👍
Thanks Brian.
Wire speed to slow welding lol
That welder is pretty old. Lol
