    I’ve had the Pacsafe CX anti theft backpack for several years and I still love it, it is worth the price. Now looking for a sling for city exploration. Appreciate the review.

    Thanks for the review, I recently ordered one of these on sale and it should arrive soon. I’ve had the Pacsafe Metrosafe LS350 (15L ?) backpack for a number of years and really like it for my personal article bag, as the max dimensions if fully packed are within that limit.
    I think the Vibe 150 sling will be good for keeping some essential items closer, or for day trips when a backpack is too much, and pant pockets are too little.

      Thanks for watching and commenting! I’m using it for the same exact reason. Hitting Europe this summer and I don’t want a full backpack once we’ve landed at our destination. Let me know how you like it!

      @@theocdtraveler I got the Vibe 150 sling and initial impressions so far are good, although I do have one design quibble with the RFID pocket design. It opens in-line with the length of the sling, which is OK, but it should be positioned closer to the “bottom”, or open perpendicular if in the current position. The current placement makes it difficult to get a passport sized item in the opening due to hitting the “top” (there is some material there that keeps contents in the main pocket, and is in the way of sliding a passport out without angling it). Overall this is a minor issue unless the sling is fully packed, and so far I’m just testing at home, so will see how it is in actual travel use in due course.
      EDIT - the Vibe 150 should hopefully be good for Japan

    Really enjoyed your video and bought a PacSafe Vibe 150 based largely on your review. I’m of average build (5’11” 195 lbs), and, even with the strap fully extended, it barely fits and is super uncomfortable. When you wear it, it looks comfortable. Any idea why?

    • @theocdtraveler
      @theocdtraveler  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      well first...CRAP. I hate hearing you got it based on my recommendation and it's not working. Sorry about that. So I'm 6'1, 195 at the moment, and I grabbed it and as you said, it fits me perfect. I held it around a couple ways and my wife and daughter judged it. I feel like I have a slightly shorter torso than normal but front carried it fits perfectly under my breast and I have about 6-8 inches of length to give on the strap. So hmmm...you could be a little thicker (muscle or otherwise), it could be a torso issue...I'm stumped. Did you go direct to PacSafe or Amazon? I don't think they have different versions...but trying to rule that out.

    • @theocdtraveler

      @@theocdtraveler Thank you so much for your feedback. I am in Bali and they have a 10% on one pacsafe or 20% for two. Already have the 40 litre Pacsafe and love it. @@theocdtraveler Just curious to know, out of your 3 slings, which one do you truly use the most? I hate buying gear only to find it’s really not practical on a day to day basis.

    • @theocdtraveler
      @theocdtraveler  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@wrd980 It’s weird… I have a European sling, which honestly is kinda like a man purse that I bought off Amazon years ago. I have a separate Disney sling that again I bought off Amazon. I use that for Disney because it’s got a bottle holder.. then I have that Korin sling which I can’t use because it’s just not comfortable. I’ll sometimes use my wife’s black Patagonia sling because it’s the most comfortable… I haven’t traveled since I got this one from a comfort and balanced standpoint that’s gonna be my all-around go to. The only challenge with it is it is relatively small compared to the others but that’s kind of a good problem to have to make sure I don’t overpack… And this is perfect because of the security features. Way more information than you.

    • @theocdtraveler
      @theocdtraveler  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question Mark. I got the bag specifically for tourist areas in Europe. Pretty common in the larger cities to encounter pickpocket prone areas. This is enough to slow them down and move them on to their next mark. Really isn’t even for high risk areas just areas that are busy with tourists.

    • @theocdtraveler

      Slash resistant may be a better way to classify it. The straps and the fabric are backed by stainless steel so I can’t say it’s 100% slashproof but it’s pretty darn close! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    • @theocdtraveler
      @theocdtraveler  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do not have an extender - it's the standard strap and oddly enough, when i just tried it on i had an extra 6-8 inches to spare with the strap. That's so weird. I just open the strap using the pop n lock and measured it. It appears to be 46 inches long (just the physical strap). Check yours and make sure there's no defect.

      No it doesn't. Only the Pacsafe EXP 45, EXP35 and Metrosafe 13 and 16l are puncture zip resistant. Other packs (i own many of them) can be broken in easily with a pen. But nobody is gonna try the pen technique while a bag is on you, the pen technique is used by TSA and other thieves employees in airports or if thieves are alone with your bag.
      I own this bag, the vibe 100, the EXP45, the camsafe X14, the camsafe X25, the belt pouch etc

    Can't you just press the point of a Bic pen or scissors in between the threads of a zipper to separate them away from each other to get into a bag with a zipper similar to accessing a piece of luggage that has a lock 🔐 on it? 🤔

    • @theocdtraveler
      @theocdtraveler  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @williamshevr 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes you can use a pen. The reviewers says "no idea" whereas it will take him 5 seconds to test. That gives you a good idea about the honesty of the review.
      The only bag that are puncture zip resistant are the EXP45, EXP35 and metrosafe 13 & 16l

      @@williamshevr I have since learned about the pen test and honestly don’t care if my bags are resistant or not ( I have the EXP45 and had no idea again; as it’s not advertised on the bags features as you’ll see in the linked video). But it’s irrelevant. Pickpockets don’t use pens on moving targets….snatch and grab thief’s aren’t using pens. That’s what I’m worried about. These bags slow down would a would be thief looking for opportunist prey…that’s the point and they’re still the best at doing that. m.th-cam.com/video/3P-QDxsLVq8/w-d-xo.html
