Far from crowd to silence and peace in nature is the best way to refresh your body and soul. Hi Becky , nice to find your channel. I'm Ali your new subscriber. I'm from Indonesia. Hiking and camping are my top activites in Indonesia. And thank God we're blessed with beautiful nature and beautiful volcano mountains. And now I watch your vids with your beautiful nature and mountains in Scotland.
An absolute joy watching you both finding and having fun like this. In our various states of lockdown, you have given us an escape into the country from our houses. Thank you
Is this your escape from the virus? It's a very good way of doing it, surprised the local meddlers haven't told you to leave the woods and go isolate at home. Good job.
Good Friday morning. Was just starting to feel bored & up popped your latest video. Thanks Becks. I'll get the porridge on, chill out & enjoy. You & Lou take care x
Camping is about 1) the weather, and 2) what you eat. Plus one or two mild activities each day. Perfect life! And you two are looking so healthy. Wow that fire starter - even with damp tinder and kindling, the wax rope sure did a good job. I'm of the same mind as you, about weekend camping. All that setting up then packing up. Same for a backpacking trip - every night is the same thing. I much prefer to hike to a place, stay for days, then hike back!
Great video. Lovely tent layout and plenty of wood for the bonfire and woodstove :-) Lucky you to be enjoying outdoor during these crazy times! Embrace the present moment and stay safe!
Love the refreshing simplicity of your videos. Always a pleasure to watch. Just an fyi thought. Always bring dehydrated milk (I like coconut milk) and strawberries to add to your porridge. Just because your in the woods does not mean you cant have flavor😁. If your looking for things to do you can make a try stick or a try rope string (string with 10 different knots in it). Good ways to refresh your skills. Stay safe
U r right about weekend camping to doing it for a while, nice set up u have I'm sweet!also u have lou for company, n its different when alone, ok cheers u 2 n have fun
Guys, years ago in the Autumn, I dumped my canoe on a lake here in Northern Minnesota. It took me about 1/2 hour to drag it to shore and I was shaking so badly I could barely see. But with my flint & steel "period" fire kit and a mountain of DRIED BRACKEN I was able to avoid hypothermia. I couldn't believe how quickly I was restored back to normal - maybe 30 seconds after huddling around the fire, wrapped only in a blanket!
Thanks for sharing your reflections on your long-term, set camp in a Bell tent. My experience also was that multi-day camps made the effort more valuable and memorable. One develops a natural rhythm suitable to oneself or to the party. Just lately, we have returned to using a variety of canned foods for food security and to assist us with self-isolation. It has been fine to revisit old camping favorites. Tonight, we are using a bit of smoked ham to add to our favorite maple baked beans for a hearty meal.
Good video mate 👍 out camping my self been out since last Friday been awesome lovely weather lots wild life about tested some my gear out and field craft skills so I'm delighted lol 😊 been a good week don't wanna go home lol 😂
I recently found your channel and I love it , I really enjoy watching your videos . I live in Alaska and have spent some time in a wall tent . I haven't used my tent in many years but watching your videos makes me want to set it up again . I like your bell tent it looks a lot easier to set up than the wall tent . Stay safe and I can't wait to see your next video !
At least you two along with Mom and Dad are making the best of a bad situation. Being prepared for things like this makes life a little easier to deal with. See you are okay. Have a super wonderful day.
How relaxed does Lou look just Chillin... loved her walk from the birch tap as she daintily trips over a twig in her pink furry slippers, TOP GIRL 👍😄 Both of you take care and enjoy xx
Hello Becky hope you and lou are doing well. Appears the weather may be breaking well for you two. Its always good to see you. Its crazy in the world right now. Kinda taxing the fellas and i. Im not so sure if everything will be the same any more. Stay safe have fun.
you could add some chocolate drinking powder to your porridge, if you get bored with it as it comes. Lots of the lads used to save the chocolate drinks out of their ration packs just to do that.
Looking good girls, you are settling in to it more. Not sure if you have any oil but those potato skins can be shallow/deep fried with plenty of seasoning, yummy! ;-)
So yeah😍What a great and simple life you all lead and the envy of so many! Give us an update on when your going through start driving lessons as it will be great watching your adventures whist you travel around in a camper van! I couldn't see your hairdryer 😃
Hey Bex. Glad you're real settled now. How is that tent for condensation chick? A little tip if you fancy a change and find the baked beans too bland after a while...did this last night. Instant mash with herbs and white pepper and a tin of sweetcorn and in the beansand sausages, I put some Bisto gravy granules to take away the sweetness a bit...gotta say it, I actually enjoyed it! Love to y'all, stay well
Hey Steve, yeah the condensation isn't bad at all. It has performed really well over 5 weeks, definitely recommend getting one or something similar especially the bell tent design :) take care my friend x
You two are eating oatmeal and I don't like that except in cookies since my mother made it for us kids for breakfast when we was small and I didn't eat it. She turned me against rice also until I went to Thailand and learned of fried rice. If you all used primarily birch wood for burning in the heater it will go longer before having to be cleaned out as it don't clog up the pipes like pine does. I know because I grew up in the country and we had to collect and cut up wood for both my grandparents heater and cook stove.
Hi Becky and tell Louise hi,you two are two sweet together.I tried tapping birch trees here in New York but I must not have gone far enough in because I got nothing else. Keep up the good work and stay healthy and strong and safe.👍❤️😊
“So yeah” another great video thanks for the upload Bex I’m not sure how you’ll all adjust back into domestic life after this I think it’s going to be very difficult but maybe your dad can buy his own land I’m currently looking at the moment myself, Lou sounds and looks like she picked up Corona stay away from the damn shops on the plus side at least you’ll develop immunity but out in the cold isn’t the place to do it stay safe
As always, watching your hiking videos from the Himalayas, Everest region Nepal. 🤙 You are inspiring me to upload more Himalayan hiking videos. Keep up the great work. 🙏
Just purchased my stove, A large one. Need a few more items. I'm spending a lot of time looking & comparing. I'm down to two a one tiger's or lux. See my problem one is a dome & the other a Teepee
it's a new experience for eveyone on earth,. on a different note,.. Tater skins are good for you, jackets should be baked (not boiled) wrap'em in foil and roast'em in the fire. ..stay safe.

It's great watching your video's and they are very educational. I tried out toasting bread like you showed in a video and it worked great, so many thanks for that! I have a question though: how do you do your dishes when you are camping?
I wish I could keep my food in the tent insid one of those lovely boxes you have but unfortunately in Japan (where I live) we have these little fluffy 🐻 that like my Dutch cheese. So I always have to throw it in the trees 😂 and it's a pain to get it after some wine and you hungry for sausages and cheese.
What are the tents like in rain... waterproof? What a great time you seem to be having! Loving the vids! In this technology age I can see a lot of people get bored, do you find that? 😊
Thank You both for sharing your thoughts and experiences of long term camping. Great document. (PS. Just noticed the latest video in the playlist is in private mode. Maybe intentional?)
Love your videos, thanks. Did you oboe that you can use a corn chip ( like Fritos ). They soak up alot of oil from the cooking process they can function like a fat stick
why dont you get the milk powder ? surely it would be a little better than using just plain water in porridge.. im currently back watching your vids and they are really good keep it up :)
Those 2 are the bomb only thing i do not understand is why peel the potatoes the skins are very good for you in a survival situation no way I would peel them.
Great second video. Just got mine up.
watching this in quarantine is perfect time.
Enjoyed your video. Nice and chill!

You two are eating oatmeal and I don't like that except in cookies since my mother made it for us kids for breakfast when we was small and I didn't eat it. Have you ever thought of trying your hand at making native pottery? I find that very relaxing and it results in a useful artifact.

Great looking tent setup! Did you have any condensation issues with using the stove within the tent? Thank you.
No it’s really breathable :) especially when you leave the door a little open or the vents around the bottom
it's a new experience for eveyone on earth,. on a different note,.. Tater skins are good for you, jackets should be baked (not boiled) wrap'em in foil and roast'em in the fire. ..stay safe.
