Would love to see the videos weekly! I always wind up buying 2 or even 3 bouquets of flowers to fill up a vase for Shabbat! I think the type of vase makes a difference too, I use the narrow, slender ones to make it look fuller!

If you’re running low on filler flowers because of the winter, try using fresh herbs! They tend to be easier to get from the grocery, are usually affordable, and you can eat them after!

Happy New Year and thank you for showing us how you prep for Shabbat! I'd love to see a weekly video series, as well. I have decided that in the year 2022, I will at some point take an introduction to Judaism class. Your channel is one of my favorite places to learn about Jewish life. While I do not have children, I love seeing your videos about being a Jewish mom. I also enjoy your decorating/holiday videos as well as your videos about living a Jewish life in general. Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many of us!

I'm with you, Marion. Setting a table or decorating a mantle can be a form of artistic expression and sometimes I have to walk around it, see it set-up to decide if I like it and what may need to be changed, added, deleted, and so on. My time is limited. I do work at home. But, that allows me to sort of "live with" what I've prepped a certain way before putting it into action for the occasion and having others utilize it in that form. It's a visual pleasure to see and it's a creative expression of oneself at the same time. Oh, you have normal kid noise. The dishes look wonderful. Simple, good quality food is always best. Do you have a new dog? Love the boys in their chef and firefighter outfits. Chef Ina Garten always says, "It's not a party until the fire dept. arrives." Cooks need their back-up. LOL. Zach has circles on his onesie, which is good luck for the coming year in many cultures. People wear polka dots and eat black-eyed peas for the same reason. Those are macarons. Macaroons are different. Macaroons look different and are coconut-based. Happy New Year to you all. Everything looks celebratory.

I’m so glad you’re doing this! I came from an Italian Catholic/Christian family and recently found out that we aren’t Italian at all, we’re Jewish! (My great grandfather was an orphan, given an Italian name, just felt like explaining because that sounded so weird hahaha) So anyway, I have a lot of making up to do and came to TH-cam for help. I’m so glad I found you! I’ve learned so much about tradition and also Jewish faith through you! Your Hanukkah content was awesome and I love that you’re doing Shabbat videos!!
