It’s always thrilling when a James vlog goes up ☺️ that is brilliant value considering the price of food these days. The pies look delicious, especially the steak one & that vanilla slice.. phwoooar! lol those pigeons were circling 😂 Great vlog James 😋😋😋
@@LesleyH It was all very nice Lesley...much better than l thought it would be, to be fair. Aye, those pigeons take no prisoners!😂 Thank you for your lovely comments. Cheers.
Hello I’ve subscribed on the strength of your personality ,lovely straightforward video made me crave a pie and a cup of tea!!! Can’t wait for your future videos thank you very much and God Bless you 👍🏻
Agree Margaret. I can remember when folk spoke about pints being 2 quid in London and folk baulked at it. Now you're lucky to get one for a fiver more or less anywhere! Cheers for the comment.👍
I've not really got a sweet tooth so I can't really comment on the vanilla slice. But both pies looked absolutely gorgeous and price wise they were chain brand price although I personally prefer proper butchers produce or independent bakery products , but served up with some chips, peas mushy or fresh and loads of thick rich gravy and I am in 👍👍🥧🥧
I didn't know Galloways had a shop in Preston. Thought they were just Wigan/St. Helens. Next time you're there try their original meat pie and a jumbo sausage roll.
I go in that shop quite a bit. The pies come part baked in all Galloways shops and are finished on site. You were lucky with the Meat & Potato as often they are under done - I'm not a fan as the filling is like a puree. The deep filled steak as you tried is the only one I go for now but it is over priced in my opinion as are all their products. Next time you go nip in my pals pubs - The Orchard at the top of the market and the Guild Ale House further up Lancaster Road, you can bring your own food too.
@@benzinapaul7416 that interesting that they come to the shop part baked...didn't know that. They weren't cheap either but like you say, l must have got lucky because l thought they were decent. I used to go in the Guild Ale House on Fridays occasionally. Cheers👍
The North is the best place for pies. 😋
I've not had a Pie from Galloway's for some time. I used to grab a bacon butty there on my to work. Absolutely love the your uploads 👍
@@Gentleman-Of-Culture I haven't been to Galloways for years...I will defo be back though. Cheers for your comments mate. Appreciated👍

I highly recommend Paul's Pies on Fishergate hill near the train station. His pies are the best in Preston 🙂
I will be going there soon mate. Cheers for the recommendation👍
Still waiting to go to Paul's. Think its been closed for months now.👍

Thank you very much for the nice comments Donna. It genuinely means a lot to me, that you've taken the time to post that. Cheers.
🇬🇧❤️ pie peas & Gravey , 🤤😋
Galloways have always sold top pies - shame things have gone so crazy price wise
The Cost-of-Living crisis has come to stay, unfortunately. Prices always go up like a rocket but, as usual, fall like a feather!😢😢😢🤪🤪🤪

Love a custard slice.
Me too mate.....me too.
Very good value. In Cornwall you will pay at least double or even triple that
@@AJ-sv5qg I suppose that the extra is for living in a touristy ish area. Cheers mate.
Next time I visit my mother in Leyland I will avail myself of there products, do they have they great butter pies?
@@1697djh think they call them butter and onion pies mate....never had one of theirs but they looked good. Cheers.👍

Yeah, it's near the covered market and Crown Court building. Yep, will definitely try those. Cheers.
Galloways is based in Wigan, which is like the land of pies 😁. Their minced steak pie is the best
Sounds good mate....home of the Wigan kebab as well😂 Cheers

@@FoodTravelwithJames used to be a load of guys who worked for DWP and the courts who used to go in on Friday afternoons/tea time
@benzinapaul7416 I know the Court lot used to go in Fridays. Small world again!
Galloways is a decent NW bakery, but a chain, so most branches will sell exactly the same stuff. Gone up in price recently!
@@ianthomas1060 Yeah, was decent mate. Cheers.
Had a meat & potato pie from Galloway's did not enjoy it salty sludge other things I have tried from them have been good pie let them down
Fair do's mate.👍
