Idk how hard it is to set up but would you mind doing more things like that instead of the subtitles built directly into the videos? its hard to focus on listening i always end up just reading it on accident lol. Im so glad that I'm educating myself about Japanese women and Japanese culture and where the culture of Japan is going now. So while I study my Japanese and come to Japan in 2025? I wont have my heart broken trying to find a wife there. Cuz I'll know exactly what to expect and how to deal with these immature types easily. Is this because the question is too intrusive (they’re shy to answer directly) or is it because your Japanese got misunderstood / misinterpreted? I don’t speak or know Japanese to know
@@jscrib but that’s just “approach” with a “chi” in the end lol I just looked up the etymology, it’s Latin, so that means there was no concept of “approaching” in Japan prior to foreign contact

It's just that the word "approach" has gained a certain amount of cultural currency. Sometimes non-Japanese words are just easier to say. You'll see "doa" in Japan a lot, meaning "door". It's not that there was no Japanese concept of doors pre-Western contact. It's just that "doa" is quicker, easier, and punchier than "tobira".
