Well not entirely true but it still holds well for atleast 80% of the general population outside japan
I used to work In Tokyo but then I was transferred to Sendei,Niigata and then now I work in one of the most Traditional perfecture in japan Gifu
Ive been in japan for 6 years now(3 in Tokyo,1 in Sendei,2 months in Niigata and rest in Gifu) I got a japanese gf after moving to Gifu
Met her in a traditional sun god festival dance and wah she was just shining
But back to the elephant in the room it depends on the women
Her family is not that comfortable with international marriage but she is independent and thinks opposite to conventional
Im friends with some of my women neighbours partly cause since I'm a foreigner I take part in regional activities more to understand them and they treat me well
They ask me questions about my culture and discuss about how central Asia is indifferent to the eastern. They always dream about international marriage to be similar to Hollywood stuffs but when it comes to reality they are more comfortable in marrying a japanese guy solely due to language barriers and cultural clashes
Take your shot cause it not set in stones and it's relatively a large country
Move to differentiate places and try to genuinely enjoy japanese culture then someone would find you
Imma 8/10 back in my hometown but here I'm like 6 more or less
Looks are added adv but japanese women looks for reliability like stable job,how you treat her and how you understand her

I agree with the sentiment (ala eyes being windows to the soul, etc)... But no. Watch videos where girls (with great eyes vs whatever eyes) take their masks off. It is way , way , more complex than that. Even a new born baby can tell the difference between acceptable beauty and otherwise, in studies. The whole face matters in attraction determination.

Most infants and adults are lip readers and especially as you age when your hearing becomes defective your brain naturally compinsates by reading the lip movements of the person you are communicating with. It's not that the mask muffels the sound as much it's more that we can't read the lips at low volume.

Ya this is true. But you really don't have to explain your life story. The confusion comes from the fact that they don't even know white Americans have their origins in Europe. Simply tell them "I'm American" and let that be the end of it. Eventually it will catch on that Americans don't have to look a certain way.

I feel like thats a pretty legit assumption that 5% of the population would only date a foreigner in a country with solely one nationality. As many wouldn't want to date on the basis of cultural values and also language barrier so it makes sense. But, the kinda people that foreigners surround themselves with and generally make friends within these countries where the culture is vastly different from their own are likely going to make friends with locals that fit into this 5% and therefore be more open. Thus, making a synthetic inflation of this number from the observers point of view.

@@chickenman2949 Of course. American pop remains number 1. I'm just surprised how easy it is for the U.S to promote Kpop when they could just produce more American music videos and monopolize the internet to remain superior. At first, it gave me cringe when a world-power nation started joining the Kpop hype and play safe with this Asianbaiting.. I mean of course, America is still the home of legendary and iconic artists who started and invented pop on this planet. But with what's happening and the slowly-deteriorating produce of new American artists, it will no longer be shocking if the next generation would see POP as simply "Korean" as that's the first thing the young ones would see on the media. In fact, it's slowly happening now. Some younger delusional fans would claim that BTS choreo is all original when in fact it has 75% Western influences. The kids in my neighborhood would quickly say "Kpop" when they see a sort of fashion that's colorful, stylish and when they hear random auto-tune instrumentals in some gatherings.
Seriously, Hollywood needs to wake up.
