I think you would get a lot out of watching their cover of Gold by Kiaara. It's a live take, so you can see what they're bringing to the music pre-production. I agree, their "production" (or arrangement) skills are phenomenal; I think their understanding of space & drama is just stunning.
A few months after this came out, Gotye put together a collection of his favorite covers of the song into one video, and he included clips from this. Before that video hit YT, PTX’s producer/co-arranger/co-founder bumped into Gotye at an airport bar and mentioned his PTX connection and this cover. Gotye told him that he really enjoyed their version, so they weren’t surprised to see themselves in his video.
Once again, another great reaction. And I love it from a music producer! I recently had discussion with another commenter on another reactor saying that PTX uses Auto Tune heavily. When I said that was incorrect, he told me I did not know what to listen too. I figure you do know what to listen too and would have mentioned it by now, On a lighter note, I love how they do the two camera jerks, I think the effect along with their vocals is incredible. Thank you one again for your reaction.,
💥👉 It makes me SO HAPPY to see you react to PENTATONIX!! Greatest Acapella group in tbe world!... These AMAZING souls ate EXTREMELY talented!! Thanks so so much 🙏 its so hard to get to all the comments... but i try. Thanks you from me personally... yes i have been working on all this so real... thanks again for just watching 👀 my video .. love you so much for just that ... peace ✌
You seem like such a great guy Mike, and you always make me smile. Thank you! I just got done listening to a Linkin Park cover of "In The End", which I always relate to when my depression shows it's ugly head - then I listened to you, and you just made my depression evaporate, and replaced it with a smile. Thank you again buddy!
I Love The Original By Goyte, feat. Kimbra..This Is A Good Breakup Song, It's Heartfelt & Melancholy..Pentatonix, Did A Great Job, With The Cover..{It Got You Up} lol, Thanks Magic Mike.💜..
You need to watch two videos from PTX “Hallelujah” and “Sound of Silence” which has their new bass. Ari left on good terms. He is still singing. They will rock your world. Also the best boxer is an amazing cellist as well as incredible vocalist. Listen to “Mary Did You Know?” with a box of tissue.
Not strictly true. This one was recorded in a studio and reverb was added to match the filming location. They normally use very light post-processing on their studio recordings. Even pitch and time correction. But the singers are so damn good the amount of tweak needed to get it to "perfect" is slight. There were articles written by their producer on the process. Short answer is, pop music demands absolute perfection in pitch and time and some studio correction is necessary, even for PTX. Their live performances are amazing -- it doesn't make them less of a band.
There IS reverb. If you're arguing that they dont use any kind of modulation or over the top distortion, I can back you up. But I cant back you up on the reverb. It's not even a matter of opinion. The reverb is there, hate to burst your bubble. :/
@@HBKCommish Exactly, they dont over produce it because they take good pride in delivering a close to studio (and sometimes better xD) live performance, but there are always some little tiny tweaks.
OK so I’m confused. Are you complimenting their arrangement?? By keyboards are you referring to Mitch, Scott & Kirstie? And by effects are you referring to Kevin & Avi? Did you like their “pockets”? I’m assuming by your smile you liked it but you didn’t actually SAY you liked or were blown away by anything they did? Just trying to understand your style.
Hey mate - I found another couple of vids that you were absent from but feel bad posting the links on someone elses reaction so If you have a way of me sending them that would be great !
I love the dancing..it makes me smile.. thank you... that doesn't happen often
