Crime is Coming from Abroad, mainly America and Haiti, this will help, but we
need Some tougher New Laws, to Combat the Gun Crime effectively, the death
penalty should be Reinstated, for possession, use, Smuggling, buying, Selling of
any illegal firearm, Murderers who use Guns to Kill should lose their lives as
well, its no good putting them in prison and Releasing dangerous Criminals
after a few years only for them kill more, the Government need to implement the
death penalty urgently; if they are Serious about fighting this Gun pestilence,
and we also need two Large troop Carrying helicopters that Can Carry Police and
Soldiers to hard to get to terrain anywhere in Jamaica in Minutes; the badmen
and Gangsters have declared War on Jamaica, and we must fight fire with fire,
to take Our Country back;
Anybody they caught smuggling guns they should sink the boat with all hands on deck.This would send a serious lesson to all smugglers.

Not a bad start
A wonderful step in the right direction. This should have been done a long time ago but still very grateful it has finally materialze. The king air is a great aircraft for the role it will play and hopefully it will be joined by at least two more examples for continuous operational needs especially border patrol and ISR operations. Congratulations on a step in the right direction.

They still going to need 1 or 2 more... Also , 4-5 County Class Coast guard vessels needed and spread around the island and not in one port... Hope this is just a start, great move!
We need one more beechcraft 350ER, 6 diamond DA-62 maritime aircraft and 6 county class vessels. I know the JDF well if they get one more beechcraft 350ER they only going to use one at a time same like county class vessels 2 vessels only one they used at a time
The diamond DA-62 will be a good platform for the JDF because it burned less fuel than the beechcraft 350ER, the performance is not too bad for a piston engine plane

Good stuff. Need 2 more Beechcraft turboprops with as high tech equipment as we can get. I've been trying to think of ways Jamaica could prevent boats smuggling stuff to our shores; Its a massive undertaking with 635 miles of coastline.
It is always good to Lauren tho when I heard the MP saying that our coastline space or about 25× our land mass boy that's a lot of work

I cannot recall a time when so many "new" things were happening in Jamaica all at the same time. It has meant certain dismantling and inconveniences, but when it's all over our island should have improved its status generally. Wow! Leaving partisan politics aside, the Holness team is a set of busy bees ...and I don't mean maybe!

spend the money on Helicopters the most versatile aircraft there is that every country should at least have 6, Jamaica is 144 miles long, most Helicopter cruse about 145miles an hour, top speed can go as fast as 250 miles an hour easily cover from tip to tip of Jamaica you don't need a runway and they can land almost anywhere in time of need, do we need Jets ?everyone is shouting for joy now comes the hard part paying for them and maintaining them far more than the price to maintain a Helicopter, spend the money it comes free, wait we borrow it from China more land to give .
Wish you knew something about helicopters. Traditional helicopters can't do much better than 180mph. Fixed wing aircraft have longer endurance and speed and are complemented by helicopters which are versatile and can land almost anywhere or hover to pick up rescued individuals.

Is the first in Jamaica history that the JLP buy equipment for the JDF lol and for your information all those infrastructure projects taking place in Jamaica started from the previous government. Contracts sign long before the JLP government came in to office.

The Crimeminister . They don’t really need fighter jet because they are not fighting another army it’s just to spot drug traffickers and send the speedboat after them. But for real since then and China a big fren then China should send them a dozen army helicopters to fight the bad man den, wha you think?
You do realize the difference between a fighter jet and a tracking plane, right. This plane is going to be able to track criminals who enter Jamaica Air space and also on water using radar and other advance GPS technology. You do not want a fighter jet to fire missile and blow stuff up

Very good job but they also need more helicopters for the army to use to track down the criminals, if Jamaica had a very reliable rapid response system where whenever there is a shootout they can summons the army and they come out in a moments notice, that world let criminals think twice because it’s very difficult to escape when the helicopter in the air spots you, just my opinion

Bro Jamaica have helicopter in the air tracking down criminals for years. Decades. When they catch the don sanducan in duhaney park, patrick city area in the 1980's i was right there as a likkle yute and they use helicopter to catch him. Him had on a kaki suit and he was in the gully. I remember it like yesterday. Jamaica have helicopter tracking criminals long time. Them just need more for every city and parish.
