Niggle with my hybrid auto ...EV mode doesn't stay on for long. In colder weather and from start off the EV mode is unavailable and the petrol engine revs up noisy right up until approx 38 mph then hits a lower gear and the noise becomes reasonable. As most town roads are 30 mph limit you end up driving in a car that sounds like its is left in 2ng gear (high rev noisy). I took mine back to Nissan after a week of two to express my concerns and drove their test drive vehicle which was the same. So I guess its just the way they are. It seems though that I'm spending way more in petrol compared to my previous 2020 manual petrol. It feels like the over revving to charge the battery out weighs the minimal EV savings. Over revs =higher fuel consumption.

This always starts in electric mode and depending on battery can be used 80% of time in full electric. This is depending on how quickly you rev. If you rev steadily it should keep the rev range lower combined with the electric motors.👍

Rear glass panel is generally called a window. 😂. I've had mine since February and love it. Only fault I've found is it doeant like hills. Struggles a bit. Around town and motorways is brilliant.

😂 Thanks for watching! Are you able to cruise in full electric at motorways speeds for a long journey or is it intermittent? And what MPG are you seeing realistically?

@@ISITWORTHITUK yes can cruise on motorway in electric, it tends to so it automatically especially going down hill. Not sure of mpg I'll have to have a look and get back to you.

I've got mine since 10.2023 and those hills are a big struggle. Also on the highway with 140km/h and oncoming wind the battery is going low and it struggles with keeping the speed. That's the only downside for the car, i'm not sure if the other full hybrids cars are acting the same. The pluses are a lot: enough space on the back seats, have a good torque, for intercity roads is perfect when you want to overtake someone, and on the turns is really sporty car. My average is 6l/100km, around the town is between 3 and 4l/100km, on highways with 140km/h is between 6 and 7 depends on the wind. (keep in mind that I push it well on the twisties and my driving is mostly out of the town).

I am not sure for what to go for, wanting to order 1 of the 3. My kia Ceed 1.5 tgdi is way to thirsty on my 60 miles workcommutes. My partner has a petrol juke, drives nice, just a tad noisy with roadnoise.
The renault Clio hybrid is the most economical and fun and newly facelifted. Though it is small. the Arkana is gorgeous and spacious but the engine is rather slow on this heavier car. Than there is the Juke the inbetween of the 2, but tech wise it is more outdated.
    What do you recommend?

      Thanks for watching!
You are right the Jukes entertainment is a slight let down in that regards.
Out of what you have told me I would look at either the New Clio hybrid tech and opt for the Arkana only if you prefer the bigger space and higher ride height. Unless you could opt for The Qashqai e-power due to the smoothness and interior/ entertainment .
Iv'e not tested the new shape Clio or Arkana but would like to get it on the channel ASAP.
My friend was in a similar position not so long ago. They were thinking the Arkana and opted for the Qashqai.
Let us know how you get on?
      Hope that helped -

I wouldn’t go that far. The MPG is great. I’ve seen 62 mpg on a couple of occasions. It’s just the non changing gearbox that was an issue for me. I was a very early adopter. One of our friends bought the same car. Their car and ours drive completely different. They love theirs. So, getting off the fence, I’ll sit straight back on the fence I’m afraid.

  • @roberttear1501

I would absolutely agree that it doesn’t like hills or slopes for that matter. I had to plan what I was going to do when I got to a hill!! MPG - regularly got 55/58. Had to let ours go in the end, mainly due to the hill thing. The car just wouldn’t change up and the engine would scream. Lastly, Nissan missed a trick when they brought out the Hybrid. They should have updated the infotainment system. It’s dated and the resolution is shocking and the graphics don’t look sharp. Initially, with I took delivery, I gave it a solid 9.5/10. However, the lack of engine refinement, the dated infotainment system, the noise from the rear washer motor (it sounds like it’s inside the car with you) and the gear changing or lack of changing led that score to going down to a 6.

How is the resolution with apple carplay?

    • @roberttear1501
      @roberttear1501 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Adam-pt8ry The main CarPlay screen isn’t great. I traded the car for a VW ID3. The screen on the VW is much sharper. This could be due in part because in the VW, the CarPlay icons are smaller. Imagine looking at an image on your phone and then screenshotting it. When you zoom into that image, the resolution loses its sharpness. The CarPlay screen gives you the same feel. I just think that Nissan could have upgraded a little given that the car received such a massive change to the drivetrain (their sales blurb talks about technology used in F1).
