That first evening you saw Snorty at 60, he stood there locked up for over 5 minutes. Do you feel like he sensed you at all, or just decided he wasn't traveling any further in that direction.
Great question Mark. There were 10-12 deer in-front of me at the time feeding while a couple bucks were investigating my buck decoy. It looked like he was watching most of the time but none of the other deer seemed spooky. At the end there was a doe that walked across and him and 6 or so other bucks started chasing her. The decoy worked alright but I think it’s time to put it away for the year! Thanks for watching 👊🏼
@@KalebGreiner I've got a big deer I'm chasing and you've inspired me to get on the ground and go for it. I certainly don't have a food resource like you were hunting near, but I have a good idea where he's bedding. Just get near, play the wind, and hope for a chance. I've been seeing a little late rut activity on camera and one hunt I had on Sunday. I've loved some of your more aggressive efforts, which seem to reap encounters. Esp. where you ran around with your antlers making a ruckus. All very innovative IMHO.
Great sits Kaleb. Keep at it, you and Casey will be successful.
Thanks Mitch 👊🏼
