Most people won’t fully grasp just how challenging what you're doing is, or appreciate how skilled you are at it. Bow hunting in remote locations, with unfamiliar guides and a production crew in tow, is one of the toughest undertakings in the hunting world. That moment when you step out, ready for the shot, but need to communicate with the cameraman-losing precious seconds-is agonizing. I can only imagine the number of incredible animals you've had to pass on because you were committed to capturing the moment for us. A typical hunter might have 4 seconds to make a shot, but with a cameraman, that window shrinks even further. Pedro, you're doing an outstanding job, telling powerful, beautiful stories that resonate with so many. Few will truly understand the effort, time, and emotion that goes into each video, but those of us who do see it are truly impressed by your work. - Chris
Story telling was second to none in this one. You could try and make that shot again and it would never ever happen like that. Hats off for an incredible adventure!
You clowns are the most unethical “hunters” out there and have taken illegal dall sheep in Alaska. You are definitely not welcome in Alaska and most hunters up here keep an eye out for you city boys in the mountains.
Breath taking.A perfect blend of archery hunting, mountain trekking under difficult and stressed circumstances. The definition of adventure.Well done. Thank u for the "journey ".
You are one of the best sportsman the world has ! Just wish there were more like you and really show what hunting is like the good bad ugly and beautiful . There will be another time but never as amazing as this one . ❤
Wow, I can't imagine the emotions on a story like this one. So thankful for the opportunity to experience it through this film. PEDRO, please do a future video where you go through a detailed breakdown of all of your gear (especially archery gear) and why you choose each item - thank you!
The journey is not always about the stops along the way. I am sure this experience will will make you even a better hunter and person. Glad you keep it honest, your emotions and your experience. Along the way we have the opportunity to learn with you.
Archery is one of the most difficult but fulfilling challenges out there!! Pedro is one of the best out there for the fact he shows the good and the bad
Been following you on IG for years and didn’t know you had a TH-cam channel till I heard it on Rogan. Good for me I get to binge all these great videos ! Real deal adventure bow hunting here, great stuff man. Keep it up 👍🏽
I always watch your videos and I can’t wait until the next one comes out, no matter where you are hunting in the world and what you are hunting you have a lot of respect for animals please keep up the good work. 👍👍👍
This made my day dear! You have a huge fan here in Florida USA. I am still hunting like you father does. I am 67 and a little slow but my daughter picks up the slack. We hunt in Wyoming where she lives. We can't now due to fires!
A spectacular video Pedro! Sh*t happens I admire how you can take us to so many cool places in the world and share cultures and different animals to hunt. Your videos along with your personality bring us along on the journey, thank you for sharing your adventures!
Congratulations on a very harsh and brutal hunt Pedro👍🏻 Because you understand nature you also accept the curve ball it throws at you now and again. I am looking forward to your next hunt Pedro!👌🏻
Saluti, Federico
Everything you said at the end of this video is true. It is not us who decide what we get at the end, the point is, that we honor the priviledge to go there and hunt. So many hunter will never have the opportunity to go were you already have been, so one step bag and fully enjoy the memory that you have because of an excellent video and production team.... when you open the eyes shortly before you get on the billy, this are the moments when you are in hunting mode, focus on the animal and hunt .. I enjoyed it very much
In the end, you summed it up perfectly. Before my Kazakhstan trip, my ego had it's sights set on a 130cm+ ibex, but I came off the mountain with one measuring 86cm. Now, sitting in my hotel room in Almaty, I can’t help but agree with your words-mountains often have a different plan than our ego. But that’s part of the adventure, after all , It's not just about the size of the trophy.
hi Piedro!!! Thanks for sharing the real thing....Things happen.... But honestly: The things which makes a trophy big, are the memorys, not the size of the horns! And the memorys ,while looking on this trophy, couldnt be bigger..... Congrats!
Gran video, calidad! Enhorabuena
that was a once in a lifetime hunt and once in a lifetime odds of that happening. you got him in the heart. you had your eyes on that old billy, but the mountains decided he would be the one that you would take that day. that was probably the son saving his father's life. did he hear the bow shot and get up to protect him? or did he randomly decide to cross in front of him at that moment? if it wasn't filmed you wouldn't believe it! I love your videos!
Pedro superb but difficult hunting. I wish you much success on your journey through life. Remember that the journey is important, not the destination...
What a crazy thing! One worries about this same thing when shooting where there are several animals but to have it really happen after you have gone to the ends of the earth is crazy crazy. What a magnificent animal you were shooting at too. You have the best videos EVER of hunting the world 👍👍. Gods speed! Be safe!
You make some dang good videos, I love e how you're always happy. How you enjoy the hunt more than the kill! Good to see man, way to love the moment,......and the trophy too! 😉👊
Saludos!
congratulations on your Capra Slam Pedro . as you said God and the mountains had other plans for you , you never got an old or big trophy , as the size does not matter ,its the experience and lessons we learn on the jouney , maybe your lesson was reminding you you are still young and many miles to travel yet , you accomplished your goal of completing the slam , now you are to follow your heart to your next goal , God Bless you and your family , great video , even with a rifle that shot could have happened , from Canada
You were correct, fantastic video! What a bad piece of luck that befell you! You accepted like a man and great sportsman. Your attitude towards the hunt as well as the outcome where inspiring. “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” (Winston Churchill). You are a better man then I for drinking that blood. I hope you get another opportunity to hunt the Ibex another day.
Cool! I served in the army in Mongolia near Choir. It was a long time ago when our potential opponent was China. By the way, to protect against moisture, you can paste a strip of tape over the sighting scale.
That was wild alright. Drinks Ibex blood "it tastes 100% like licking a goat" lol Pedro Pedro haha. You will likely never experience a bow shot like this ever again, on any type of prey, I think it is a hunt and bow shot you should treasure for a lifetime. Cheers for this incredible reel Pedro... Ps I thought I was already a subscriber, hmmm TH-cam...subbed again...
You were correct when you said at the beginning: No matter what you think is going to happen in this video, is not what's going to happen. When I saw it I didn't expect that! I thought, Wait....what?!? Such strange luck. I have taken over a hundred animals with bow and arrow and I have never seen such a thing!

Congrats on the Capra Slam! Unlucky with the shot, but amazing to capture it all on film. Looks like an adventure of a lifetime! Awesome video guys!

Wow, I can't imagine the emotions on a story like this one. So thankful for the opportunity to experience it through this film. PEDRO, please do a future video where you go through a detailed breakdown of all of your gear (especially archery gear) and why you choose each item - thank you!
Your feelings towards these animals is so genuine. Great content.
The ABSOLUTELY greatest hunting videos are made by Pedro Ampuero!! Thanks for another over the top video!!!
Still baffles me how this channel doesnt have millions of subscribers. Hands down my favourite channel. Much love and respect, from South Africa.
It’s crazy moment….shot is very unbelievable in all time!! But this very good and beautiful story and great job!👏

Every hunt is so unpredictable and that on its own is beautiful. Regards from Cyprus 🇨🇾 🇪🇸
Excelente video Pedro.
Impresionante!!!
This is a true testament to your sportsmanship. You still should be proud of your accomplishment of ram with a bow. Congratulations Pedro!
A spectacular video Pedro! Sh*t happens I admire how you can take us to so many cool places in the world and share cultures and different animals to hunt. Your videos along with your personality bring us along on the journey, thank you for sharing your adventures!

Bitter sweet is the best way to look at it. I was on the edge of my seat. That was out of your control. Another great edition to all of your content.
