The fact she asked about the headpiece because she wanted to make sure it wasn’t a religious custom and she didn’t want to be “inappropriate” or offensive; what a classy and intelligent woman. That made me so happy.

I really appreciate that Jeannie understands that not everything beautifully worn is just ‘fashion’. She respects the different cultures and religions and the sacredness of headdresses and other clothing articles that should be respected. I love that about her.

When I picked out my gown, I said that I absolutely did not want a huge poofy dress and sweetheart neckline. And what did I leave with? A HUGE ball gown with a sweetheart neckline!😂😂😂 But it was gorgeous! Your dress was STUNNING! Congrats to you and your hubby, Jeezy! Praying for continual joy and happiness🙏🙏❤

Literally, my dream - Daniel and Mama Mai coming with me to try on dresses. I mean I'm not engaged but that's not the point.
I was married but never had a wedding dress as we were too poor and just had a courthouse wedding, no honeymoon we were both in college..anyway, he ended up cheating on me several years later, then divorced me for another woman. I like to think that marriage was a "practice run" marriage..lol. Anyway, I love watching these kinds of videos of women picking out their wedding dresses/planning their ceremony. I am hopeful if I ever get married again, I will have a wedding dress too. Of course more importantly, find a nice man and be financially stable. Thank for sharing this experience Jeannie ♡

I have tears of joy because I’ll never get married and I do feel like your my cousin or sister and the reason why I think I’ll never get married is because first . I’m sick with a bunch of illnesses and no guy wants to date/marry a sick girl. Second, doctors don’t think I’ll live to be 30 year’s of age. I’m 28 year’s old. I feel like I’m living through you. I know you probably has so many message like this, but you are truly my inspiration. Like you, I was in a relationship for 5 years with someone who never wanted a life, a family, a future with me. He never said anything until my dad passed away in 2019, he finally confessed that marriage and kids were never part of his plan with me but for us to just stay together. For 5 years, I lost my self worth, I wondered why I was not good enough for this guy. Even though he didn't work, didn't have a place, a car, I helped got all this for him thinking if I helped him get better, we get better. I was thinking of us and we while he thought of him the whole time. For 5 years I begged for his love, affection and a ring. Long story short, less than a year after our break up, I met this amazing man. We been together for only 7 months and I already got my ring. He came in, fixed up my life, my heart and my view on love. Can I just say, im so darn happy for you and I both. We found our happily ever after.

My mother was a bridal designer for 40 years. I for many years was her model to try on for fitting, hemming, rebuilding, making bustles. 100s of dresses, standing there for hours. When I married, I was, "Let's elope!"
