I’m 38 weeks and deeply craving an all natural birth. Your videos are so encouraging. I appreciate that you didn’t make your birth story dramatic and you remained so optimistic. Your strength is amazing and I hope to harness some of that power when I deliver!
Hi Kate! Congratulations girlie!! I'm so excited for you to meet your sweet baby! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and for your kind message, I appreciate it so much! Whatever path you decide to go with for labor, it'll be beautiful either way! :) How are you currently feeling?! Sending you my thoughts & prayers for a safe and smooth delivery!
I’m 14 weeks and 6 days and only last night i had a mental breakdown and was crying so nervously about the whole birth situation although i know its too early to even worry about. I came across your birth video today and immediately sent it to my husband telling him i want to be this beautifully calm and strong when the time comes. Thank you so much 🥺🤍
Nancy you have such a bright spirit I love watching your videos! Congrats on your baby! I am 37 weeks pregnant today and also believe in positive energy for positive outcomes. Overall I feel so chill, sometimes I feel like I’m too confident in my ability to endure labor and delivery pains and underestimating it, but I just want to say you really are inspirational! Thank you for your in depth explanations of how your experience went. 💕
I love your channel! I can't believe how calm and strong you were with your first labor and delivery. My first labor was easy breezy and I did get the epidural. But my second time was intense! They removed the epidural within minutes because the left side of my body was basically becoming paralyzed, and it was EXTREMELY painful to experience the rest of the labor with no drugs. It's inspirational to hear women sharing their own experiences, and for me personally I love the no epidural stories. Thank you, I have baby fever now!
I'm currently 38 weeks and 1 cm dilated, loved watching your positive birth story. Thank you so much for sharing the details and congratulations on your sweet baby.

Labor is actually a great experience if you just get an epidural in advance, ofc if your not induced and your water breaks your going to feel contractions but if your induced you will literally feel 0 pain.
Thank you so much for sharing 💕 your voice is so calming!! in my 3rd trimester now and feeling both excitement and a bit of fear.. starting to read a hypnobirthing book and hopefully it'll help me calm down when go time comes! 😄

It has helped me put myself in a postive state of mind. I am going yo tey for a natural unmedicated birth so I feel I need my mind to be as strong as possible. ❤
Hi Kim! aww thank you so much for your sweet comment! And oh my goodness your due date is almost here, so exciting! I'm so happy to hear that this video brought you comfort, you can totally do this! @@happilyevernancy I have a super random question, how was laboring wearing glasses? You mentioned you had taken them off and put them back on to look in the mirror. I feel I've never heard anyone talk about what laboring wearing glasses is like!! I'm nearsighted and I've worn glasses my whole life, I just think maybe they will be annoying to me, then I'll be annoyed because I can't see??? Idk maybe I'm just overthinking it 😂
@@kim6433 Hi Kim! haha I was hoping to wear my contacts during labor but totally ran out and couldn't get some in time then I was thinking oh my gosh what if my contacts get uncomfortable, that'll be harder to take off than my glasses so lets just play it safe! It wasn't bad laboring wearing glasses for the most part! I think I only had them off for like 30 mins when I started actively pushing laying down because I got really sweaty, I sweat a lot in my nose and upper lip area LOL then when they asked if I wanted to look at the mirror I put it back on and left it on the entire time afterwards. At that point I had totally forgotten about wearing them because I was so focused on pushing. During the contractions I closed my eyes the majority of the time any ways 😅 but I'm happy I had them on so I can see my baby once she was out! I'm nearsighted as well!
@@happilyevernancy Well thank you Nancy for sharing your experience!! I'm thinking I will do the same wear my glasses and have my husband take them off or put them on as I desire.I tend to overthink things but at 38 weeks... hey what else do I have to do?? 😂 I pray you, baby and your husband are doing well. I know times are a little hectic right now so I pray y'all stay safe❤ I look forward to seeing if you post more motherhood/baby videos. I most definitely will be watching when you do. They will be a blessing to me postpartum!
You are just so darn adorable Nancy! I am pregnant for the first time and definitely subbing to your channel to get advice bc I have no idea what I am doing, ha. Great tips!
The best thing you can do is go in with an open mind. It usually never goes as planned. I had my second child 7 months ago and I almost had her on the hospital floor. I dilated from 3.5 cm to 7 within 45 mins and then when putting me in the wheel chair to bring me for an epidural, my water burst all over the hall and I was screaming that she was coming out!! They raced me down the hall yelling at doctors to open doors and prep the bed meanwhile I’m screaming and lifting one butt cheek feeling like I was going to have her right then and there on the chair or the floor. I ended up having her natural which is what I wanted anyway 😋 But as soon as I got up onto that bed, I pushed her out within minutes. Having had my son with an epidural and my daughter natural, I prefer natural. You feel amazing after. The worst part for me was not the fact of pushing her out, it’s my contractions. I get some of the worlds WORST contractions. Just in case you’re debating on what to do 😁 The ring of fire is real btw lol but once it’s done, you feel great 👍🏼 Good luck with everything, I hope the best for your journey.
Thanks for sharing , you seem like a very good spirited person 💕 stay blessed I’m due in October and want to do it naturally as well so nervous but u made it seem easy !!
I loved this video so much, Nancy! I felt like I was reliving your labor and delivery! Give us all the TMI girl lol 💕 Ahh bloody show is such a telling sign! I am so glad you pushed through and listened to your intuition to go to the hospital! Woohoo for your OB! 7CM dilated?! Girl you’re my hero!!
Hi Jen!!! ahh thank you so much girlie! LOL haha I'm happy I can share all the TMI moments with you! And thank you for being such an amazing friend during my pregnancy journey, answering all of my questions! You are just the best!!! The term bloody show sounds so freaking intense, I have no idea what I was picturing LOL
What app did you use to time your contractions? What do you think helped you have a smooth labor. Im pregnant and this is my 1st baby. I've seen lots of women scream..yell..cry during the contractions as they get stronger and you seem so calm during yours. Im just trying to get some info lol.
Hi Yanet! The app is called Contraction timer & Counter 9m, when you type in contraction in the app store it should be the first one to pop up, it has a teal green ish background with a baby on it! :) I just used the free version of the app, it kinda took some time to get used to but the cool part is that it will send you alerts telling you to prep for the hospital and different milestone markers depending on how far along your contractions are so that was helpful! And congratulations on your pregnancy, that's so exciting!!!💕There are so many ways to handle the pain that comes with the contractions and focusing on breathing through it gave me something to put my energy towards and knowing that it'll only last a minute or so at a time. Thank you for taking the time to watch, hope all is well! :)

Aww you can do it! I believe in you :) Whatever path you pick for delivery will be beautiful and amazing either way! How are you currently doing and feeling!?
Hi love! Thanks so much for watching! For my first birth, I had to really prep my mindset to go unmedicated. I went into labor not fully deciding whether or not I wanted to get an epidural or go unmedicated, I wanted to go with the flow and listen to my body. But looking back at my experience, I think I wanted the feeling of control with my body and by going unmedicated I was able to really tune into how I was feeling and my body to navigate each contraction. So the emotional/mindset prep was really important. I also worked on controlling my breathing during each contraction. For my first pregnancy, I did a lot of barre/yoga workouts and also saw my chiropractor once a month and then once a week during the final month of pregnancy and that helped prep my pelvic alignment for a smoother birth! I hope that helps!
Hi there! Thank you so much for watching! I wanted to go into the labor experience with an open mindset to go the flow to see what happens and listen to my body whether I would need it or not. As my labor progressed I decided that I didn't need one.
Hi there! For my first pregnancy, I worked out 3x a week doing Barre workouts and Yoga! I also saw a Chiropractor once a month and then once a week during my last month of pregnancy to help prepare for labor. I also did a lot of energy and emotional work to prepare as well. Looking back I think all of those things helped with a positive labor experience especially seeing a chiropractor, it helped with my pelvic alignment to prep baby's positioning. After giving birth a second time just last month, I didn't workout as much as I did the first time because being pregnant with an active toddler was a workout in itself LOL but I continued seeing my chiropractor which helped me have a smooth second labor experience! I hope that helped answer your question 💛
Amazing! Thank you. If you can share resources of where to go for energy and emotional tools that may have helped you that would be really great as well! 💕
Congratulations to you and your family you look absolutely stunning beautiful gorgeous what brand of diapers are you using love Pampers we use them on my little girl and love your nursery
Hey Nancy and Girls, does anyone know anything about perineal massage? I was told by my midwife to try this massage since I am entering my 36 weeks this weekend. I would appreciate if you could share your thoughts on this with me, as I am a little sceptical that this massage will help me avoid tearing. Thank you in advance 💕
Gulsara Kuandykova Hi! Search here on TH-cam for videos on how to get started! You can't lose anything by trying them out. I did the massages but I still tore during birth.. maybe it would have been worst with no massage I'm not sure.. You can always try it!
I massaged my perineum with olive oil for a couple of months at the end of my fourth pregnancy - I think it was very helpful, because I did not tear or need an episiotomy during her birth, and I had had an episiotomy with the previous three.
I seriously don't know the difference between real and BH. I'm super frustrated. I lost my mucus plug yesterday morning and I've been having contractions all night I don't know 😞
aww I know they can be so confusing! But once the real labor pains started, it was really painful in the lower back and they definitely are more intense than BH! It can be hard to tell in the beginning stages of labor. I hope you're doing well, how are you currently feeling?
@@happilyevernancy after this week's check up I am about 3 cm dilated and almost fully effaced. I'm still having contractions on and off but they have been evolving to feel different. Hoping to meet my little one soon!
I gave my son up for adoption so, I wanted to give him a natural birth. My sister also has had permanent damage done from the time she got her epidural. Its been 8 years and I'm ready for my own child but I cannot see doing that again honestly. I have a very high pain tolerance and next time will be different. It's a whole experience though and if you're strong enough to, than more power to you!

I'm seeing more than I expected to see down there LOL My sis-in-law didn't have an epidural with all 3 of her kids and she was just telling me about the experience, but we never got to talk about the ring of fire LOL I guess she let me experience that for myself hahaha but man seriously all births are just so beautiful and amazing like I'm still mind-blown our bodies can do this!
I am due in 10 days so baby is coming any day now and is my first also. But I am going in with the mindset of no epi or pain meds! Very inspiring :)
This is so comforting, you are so sweet 🌺
I’m 20 weeks and listening to you and watching your birth blog gave me so much hope and strength! 🤗 you did great! 👏🏼💖
you were very strong n chilled,I hope I cud be strong as you because in my country there's no epidural..
Thanks so much for sharing! Absolutely perfect advice from your chiropractor - a lot of women could do with hearing that before they go into labour for the first time ❤️

Happily Ever Nancy I’m doing good. Baby is doing good too. Craving lots of apples & granola. 😋 Thank You very much for responding! ☺️
I give birth in 29 days! March 4th actually 💞 this is my first and I’m 18 years old and I’m so nervous to go natural this gave me so much confidence in myself!
Hi Fayth! oh my goodness I'm so happy to hear that our story was able to give you confidence in yourself! Just trust your instincts and whatever feels good to you while navigating labor, that was honestly the best thing I could have kept in mind to stay in tune with myself during a life-changing experience like giving birth! aww March 4th is my baby girl's first birthday! How are you doing and feeling mama!? Sending so much love your way!
How was your delivery?
@@an8637 i stayed strong until 9 1/2 cm then I got the epidural because i had an anxiety attack and stopped pushing 🥲 other then that it was amazing and now my little girl is a month old today!

Hi Danijela! thank you! and congratulations to you as well! so excited for you to become a mama too!!
Loved you labour and delivery vlog. You were so calm
Hi Melissa! aww thank you so much for watching! Appreciate you!!
Oh my gosh I just found out I’m pregnant (due in May) and labor is the scariest part to me and this gave me so much hope !! People just say how horrible it is !
Hi Danielle! oh my goodness congratulations on your pregnancy!! So incredibly excited for you, I'm so happy that you found this video helpful, I know it can be scary with so many emotions surrounding giving birth, but I believe in you! You know what works best for you and just keep that in mind ❤️
Im due in july! Love your birth vlog excited to watch this. ☺️💕
You are so adorable and uplifting 😌❤ I'm due on 25th and I've been trying to conquer any fears I have towards birth and I have to say this has really helped me!!
I never realized how important it was to have our mind and body connect and be on the same page, it'll help you relax a lot more :) Wishing you the best of luck, sending nothing but positive thoughts your way for a safe and smooth delivery!
Thanks for sharing , you seem like a very good spirited person 💕 stay blessed
I’m due in October and want to do it naturally as well so nervous but u made it seem easy !!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! Congratulations on your pregnancy! how are you doing and feeling :)

Your birth was amazing!! That’s my end goal there
Hi Sherlyn! oh my goodness you are too kind, thank you! It was an experience I'll never forget!
Loved everything u said ! I hope i do good like u, currently 33 weeks pregnant and kinda scared for delivery 😓
Beautiful story God bless
Love your birth story! Echoing another commenter’s request...can you share a link to the breathing video you watched? I was supposed to have a birthing class this weekend but it got cancelled, so I’m looking for other resources :)

I am due on August. I just need a lot of motivation to go for natural birth 🤱
Aww you can do it! I believe in you :) Whatever path you pick for delivery will be beautiful and amazing either way! How are you currently doing and feeling!?
I feel scared and excited all at the same time. Can't wait to welcome my baby into this world
Beautiful! Can you talk about things you did to prepare for this birth to be unmedicated? Okra water? Prenatal Yoga? Raspberry leaf tea? Eating dates?
Thank you! And by mindset just trying to rid fear?
What crib is that? Looks really cute
Hi there! It's the Sniglar Crib from Ikea :)
Congratulations!!!! I am due on April 12 OMG...
April 19th for me 🥰
Wow what a beautiful person.
Hi Nancy, thank you for sharing . Just one question. Is there any specific reason to keep you from using Epidural ?
Hi there! Thank you so much for watching! I wanted to go into the labor experience with an open mindset to go the flow to see what happens and listen to my body whether I would need it or not. As my labor progressed I decided that I didn't need one.
That head of jet black hair 🥰
Did you do any yoga or squats or anything to prep for birth during your pregnancy?
Aww thank you so much! We are using a mix of diapers that we got from our friends and family but so far we are loving Pampers! :)
I am due October i am so nervous 😅😅😅 great video and lots of love from Germany
aww congratulations!! how are you doing and feeling!? :)
Happily Ever Nancy i Feel good thank you ❤️ i am so ready to be a Mommy ❤️🥰

Did they force you to have an IV?
I’m due March 5th next year 🥰
You’re gorgeous
Did you tear
@@jackskeletonsqueen oh wow!! progress!! so exciting! sending you all of the positive vibes and thoughts for a safe and smooth delivery!! ❤️
@@happilyevernancy thank you 💕
Nice
I gave my son up for adoption so, I wanted to give him a natural birth. My sister also has had permanent damage done from the time she got her epidural. Its been 8 years and I'm ready for my own child but I cannot see doing that again honestly. I have a very high pain tolerance and next time will be different. It's a whole experience though and if you're strong enough to, than more power to you!
your captions are really off :(
Did you give birth barefooted or socks in the hospital bed mommy
BREATHE!!! My gosh...girl, slow down and breath!
Bummer
What?
