I became a lifeguard in the buggiest town in The Sims 3

- I never played as a lifeguard when The Sims 3: Island Paradise came out so I thought it would be fun to give it a go. It turns out, Isla Paradiso is still buggy as hell and being a lifeguard is the worst thing a sim can do!

This is basically the entire Baywatch in 15 minutes. Running around in speedos and flirting
It sucks how they never patched this expansion pack... Glad to see people still show it some love now and again!
Its not really an issue because of this pack per se. The issue causing the freezes exist in all packs and worlds its cause this world in particular has a lot of water pathing which sucks ass in sims 3 that then causes the freezing. This could happen in any world but doesn’t since well they don’t have to path stray animals and houseboats through islands.
the mermiaids are also broken with this expansion pack.

I know it's been almost a year but a slow-mo run is unlocked after reaching a certain level in this career! I discovered it while speedruning thru it a few years ago and was like yeah, ofc they had to make that reference

@@Clouditivity It's because houseboats owned by NPC families are incredibly buggy, even by the game's awful water routing standards. NPCs want to move their houseboats a lot, but the routing sucks so bad that it just generates constant lag instead. There is a mod on MTS that disables NPC houseboat routing which fixes most of the lag in this particular world, it's called "Reduce/Remove Lag caused by Houseboats".

I loved the possibility of running my own resort in this add-on. A little more primitive than doin business in 2 but yet, managing something. Also it was fun when some neighnors came out as mermaids while scuba diving.
This is on my list of ideas for future videos! My only issue is I'm a terrible builder

If you want to be sure that your game crashed just look at the plumbob or water animations if there are any. If it moves you can wait, if there's none then it is what it is :P

The fire station has showers so you could woohoo there. You can also do it in the threatre - there's an option to "woohoo backstage" when you tour the threatre with your date
Nooooo how did I forget all of this? I loved The Sims 3 so much at the time but it's insane what I don't know now!

There is one family on a house boat that if you delete them fixes a lot of the lag/bugs. Not all orc but its kinda wild the difference
i absolutely ADORE building resorts and i do so in literally any neighborhood i live in. its a shame isla paradiso is so buggy

There's so many easy fixes for the Sims 3, it honestly infuriates me when TH-camrs make no attempt to use the fixes because it makes the game look so bad when it doesn't have to be that way. 😡
I’d only recently got back into the Sims 3 when this was posted. Plus I work full time alongside this so don’t have that much time for looking into these things. You’re very negative for someone with the username PositivePenny
