    One of the best things for me was learning to actually use my Scav runs to actually, like, scavenge.
    When I started out, I was like "hey free kit" and just went around shooting everything I saw like I was playing PMC. Now, I use Scav runs to go try to find unlooted bodies of maybe someone who died to AI and get some free armor/helmet/gun/ammo, whatever. Or go check to see if someone missed some graphics cards in a tech store or skipped over some rooms in Resort or something. All while walking past the AI because I have a free pass.
    Sometimes I'll do a Scav run and never shoot a single shot, but I'll walk about with 500k worth of stuff.

      @downmachisek 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly. Sadly i learned that after i hit level 30. Most ppl think that money is the most important thing. Yes they are important but not as much as your level, hideout(where you can make a looot of money) and ofc traders levels for best gear and ammo. With 10m rubs and PS ammo you will still suck 😀 better to have 100k rub and atleast BP ammo available. Nothing matters more than good ammo and map knowledge.

  • @progunantilife4777

    I have an idea for a video you should make. Take a lengthy and successful raid that youve done, and pull it up and go through without any skips and pause occasionally and talk about what is #1 in your head at that moment #2 What is some potential options that you have to tackle the situation and #3 quickly discuss alternate things you could have done, or other people can do in similar situations. I think it would help us all out alot and i know i would greatly appreciate it. I struggle so hard in tarkov with just finding something to do that truly motivates me like it used to. Now i just get in raid, run to the biggest hot spot, and hope i find some geared ppl. It gets really repetitive and i just wanna know when in the raid should you loot areas? When to scavenge gear? When to hide? When to know if you can take a fight or not? etc... I could go on but i wont, im sure you get what im saying. Been a fan for a long time man, your doing this entire community a solid with every video you publish and stream you produce man, Nice work.

    A good thing to do is to learn a specific weapon. My weapon to go is an AKS-74U and using bs ammo, it is pretty cheap, common on scavs. Since it usually has the highest recoil of the aks, it makes people not take the gun and you'll usually get it back from insurance. Even when you mod the gun out, most people would just take the attachments to save space so you'll get it back pretty often. Find a gun you like and are used to and learn how to effectively use it.

    The easiest way I found to make money is in between raids buy an expensive commodity that gets bought and sold all the time, or buy something cheap from a trader, like ammo and then mark it up 10-15% depending on how expensive it is.
    Let's say you buy 2000 rounds worth of 7.62x39 PS ammo, fairly cheap currently at 108 roubles a pop, so you would buy them all at 216,000, then you mark it up 15%, .15x108=~16 16+108=124 124x2000=248,000, since its an item that people will be using (and buying) all the time, it should sell within 2-3 hours. Finally, your total profit will be 32000!
    Please note that the per tile cost of ammo is pretty shit with 7.62x39 PS at around 6400, so if you want to make a lot of money, but also spend quite a bit, then stock up on graphics cards when they are cheap, which have a per tile cost of around 150000 roubles at current pricing, and sell them when prices rise, which at a 10% markup (because they are so expensive already) should make you around 30,000 profit total.
    Also one more thing, I've been doing this for the past month now every day, even when I don't feel like playing just hop on real quick, buy 250000 roubles worth of ammo, mark it up, sell it, do a scav run (likely fail), and have made almost 10,000,000 roubles total (all the loot and other shit I may have sold). Stonks.

    I'm still compared to many VERY new at the game. Last night I was on the verge of giving up. I had gradually lost ALL my gear. I was down to 18k roubles with only a couple guns left. Did a sniper mosin run on Shoreline. Dropped three guys and walked out with my pockets FULL of freaking loot, class 4 armour and guns galore. Next scav run I did spawned with a freaking LABS KEYCARD. Butt clench was real running to the extract with that badboy in my pocket!
    Sitting on 390k roubles after an afternoons play and my inventory is literally overflowing with loot.. Don't lose hope guys. Games hard as fucking nails and will kick you in the teeth more than it rewards you at the start, but it's worth it for when you get those great runs.

    The most profitable scav runs I've had is when another player scav actually decides to team up. We watch each other's back because we pretty much understand that we both need roubles to get anywhere, and if we fight, the survivor's going to be wounded with no medkit and now the AI scavs will be gunning for you (This has only happened twice in my 2 months into Tarkov, really disappointed in the community for this). Unfortunately too many idiots I'll get the drop on, I'll alert them, they turn around like "oh crap he could have killed me", and then shoot me straight in the face. I know for a fact that a lot of those player scavs who shot me, didn't get to extract with all the items they were hording because the AI scavs probably fucked them up.

    5:35 Of course, it's okay to die, it's okay to die in every game after all.
    Currently I am too afraid to go into a raid with my PMC, but not because I fear loosing my stuff. It's because I know with certainty that I won't survive. In CoD or Battlefield or any other casual game I *know* that the fights I get into are pretty fair, meaning that I have at least a chance of winning a fight regardless of whether I actually win or not. In those games I am confident enough in my skills to say to myself "I can win this". But in Tarkov, this isn't the case: I played online as a scav about 30+ times now, but made it out alive just three times (in two of those cases I didn't see a single PMC or player scav and in the third case I heard one player walking around and just waited in a corner of dorms until I couldn't hear him anymore). Though, when playing an offline raid with medium difficulty bots (which is the difficulty of online bots according to online sources) I survive pretty much every time, killing 12+ scavs on average before leaving, often without having taken any damage. WTF am I doing wrong that I easily survive medium (sometimes hard) bots in offline mode, but barely survive one in ten online raids?

    • @MrXennhorn
      @MrXennhorn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it may simply come down to your rotation locations, If your wandering into Dorms not kitted to the gills to kills players your in for a bad raid .. basically Pestily Rule #1 : Knowledge.. map knowledge can play a key part in successful raids, knowing out of the way middle class loot can sometime pay off better then the contested high tier loot
      There is a significant difference between the AI and players ..... the AI if it cant find you will move on and leave ... players can be spiteful and sit and wait 25mins just to make sure they kill you
