      @@maatu_boe erm the only graphics cards that were ever even close to that price were not consumer cards, and instead were quadros. Consumer cards rarely venture north of 1.5k euros and were in fact less money back in the day.
      He is talking about the fact this generation has had a major jump in performance this generation with regards to price. One we haven't seen in a long time.

      High-end GPUs are getting cheaper...but a 'high end' is a 1080 or higher. If you are only going to look at the new shiny then, of course, they are going to be 'overpriced' especially with the scalpers and whatever else going on.

    The thing about FOV is setting it lower will make your view zoomed in which makes the items that render in the center of your screen more clearer sacrificing the view at the side of your screen while higher FOV does the opposite where you can see more stuff at the side of your screen which lower FOV doesn't but your center vision will be more blurry. Also, higher FOV gives you the illusion that your character is running faster than lower FOV.

    Pestily, for the Reload, you can set the R to "Press" instead of "Release" so the o.5 seconds it waits starts as soon as you press the key and not once you release it. If you're gonna quick reload you're gonna spam R anyway so you can stil do it fast enough.

    • @Drogenknecht

    14:41 Anisotropic filtering actually does improve something. AF works by filtering out textures that you see at an angle by making them seem clear in the furthest point as they are in the closes point. The improvement can be seen especially on floors or fences. Especially fences. Fences might seem like they're popping into existence at a certain distance as you move, if you have AF off. Other textures generally look blurry without AF on, if seen at an angle and from a medium distance.

    • @badnewsbruner
      @badnewsbruner 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I keep telling people this same thing.
      Moat people don't actually understand what AF does, they just see filtering and assume it's bad.
      They turn it off and wonder why everything further than 2 meters out from their POV is blurry asf.
      Maybe that's why so many Tarkov players crank their sharpness?

    I'm pretty sure you could change the "quick reload" button rather the "reload" button.

  • @Lenghtir

    A small correection in the video, m.2 is just the connector. You have m.2 drives that use SATA(the conventional SS) as well as NVME. NVME is faster but the difference in games does not matter, sata SSDs are just as good.

    • @arteonyx
      @arteonyx 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      NVMe drives' r rlly cheap here, like around $40 for a 512gb one. It is on sale though, original price is probably like 60 dollars or something

    • @Lenghtir
      @Lenghtir 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arteonyx yea the price is about the same I think in most places(it also depends on several factors like QLC vs TLC vs MLC) but in general if you use a sata or m.2 sata you are missing out on like 0.5s faster loading at best, upgrading from a normal sata to nvme is therefore not worth it

    Great video. I use the same graphic settings and almost the same POST FX settings. I play a lot of night runs on interchange. Of course, its night and in a dark area you are not suppose to see good which is why the game has flashlights, night vision and thermals. It is realism. I have a problem seeing at night IRL. I have only been playing for a few months but I noticed when I went into the buildings I couldn't see ANYTHING at all. It is bad. Anyways, the one setting I change when running in game at night is the POST FX setting "Color Grading". I set this to Olive at 50. There are other color gradings and I have not played with them all but this works the best for me. I have spent countless hours testing settings to see better in dark areas. Its just a life changer. It will give the game an odd color during the day, so you can turn it off when you are running regular daytime raids.
    If anyone cares about keyboard layout. I found the following much more preferable. Set Check Magazine to T. Check chamber to T double press. Shift to hold breath, one press. Ctrl to crouch. Z to prone. X to overhead fire and C to right side blind fire(if you don't use blind fire then don't worry, use X for discard item or whatever). I have U for discard, I for compass and change Run to Shift continuous press. I set mouse 4 for scope zoom. Mouse 4 double press to change scope type. Mouse 5 single press is Tactical Device ON/OFF and double press to change Tactical Device type.

    regarding SSR: In my experiance... with the state of the game right now - when its very foggy and you have SSR:ON you will get a little more information. You can see the edges of some objects in the distance, like trees or buildings that give you positional information which you wouldn't otherwise have and you get bugs like sunglasses or car windshields glowing white, which you wouldn't see with SSR:OFF. IMO, even though it can look kind of crap, its worth having on if you have enough grunt to not lose FPS.

    Antistrophic filtering does a ton how do people not realize. It makes distant angled textures way less blurry. Easiest two ways to tell is look at a distance flooring that has a pattern and turn it on and off. Then go on labs and look at any sign or poster from a side angle, with it off its nothing but blur, with it on you can read everything on the poster fine. These are just simple examples of its affect, but it works on tons of things. Nvidia control panel is generally higher quality if you set it on in there, especially on high quality. Ever since I saw the difference in ground textures, it is so important to me since it costs very little.

    reset computer, needing to rewatch all these tarkov setting videos again. My fine tuning was over a couple wipes. So this will take quite some time to readjust. Self reminder, like the vids that are helpful, and screencap great setting boosts to your own discord as a journal of the process lol

    Just for a bit of info, M.2 drives can also be SATA. When you refer to M.2 drives the fastest stuff is PCIe Gen4, Gen3 is more than fast enough. SATA M.2 Drives are also a thing and shouldn't be ignored. One of the biggest factors in tarkov loading times is your CPU, a faster CPU will allow game assets to load quicker into memory. That's where the real performance gains are to be had when loading, so long as you're loading off at least a SATA SSD you're gucci. :)

    @pestily The reason you saw no change between 1080ti and 2080ti is because EFT is shit at cpu usage. setting render range to 400m and lod to 2 is best for the most FPS period.
    Edit: the difference in performance when CPU capped because of Draw distance is 0 from 1000 and up but @ 400 to 1000 is a big difference.

    If your experiencing any screen tearing you can up the anti-ailiasing and it helps get rid of it if you don't want to turn on vsync :)

    I set vsync on cause screen tearing will make it much harder to see people around
    ALSO i have changed two keybinds at the very start of my tarkov hell. These are lean keys. I swapped them. And this i sooo helpfull. You can get used to it very quickly and if you think about lean usage and your fingers position on keyboard whilst doin so you will understand why this is good.

    A serious issue that was not mentioned is the latency of AA. If you turn on TAA, there is a noticeable click to screen latency. I know it looks great on TAA, but if you wanna hit your shots, FXAA is the way to go.

    If your on amd. In radeon settings for tarkov i have turned on virtual super resolution. If your experiencing low gpu usage turn this on and set to a higher resolution in game. Then adjust settings till you get smooth fps. Helped alot , makes the stutters almost non existant. im running b450, 3600x, 5700xt. usually around 70-80fps on pretty high settings.

    These settings work well enough to give me steady 60 fps on a very low-end and old AMD RX-580/i5-4690k PC. Tarkov is still targetted at its home audience where high-end equipment is just not common enough.

    Auto RAM cleaner helps with systems that have low amount of RAM, that being said there are better, more configurable third party options like "Intelligent Standby List Cleaner (ISLC)", which I personally use.

    Pretty sure the high quality color option was 'always on' before adding the setting and by default it is on. If I remember correctly they added it to give an option that might win a few frames per second on lower-end rigs

    CPU: 5600X (with stock cooler)
    GPU: 6800XT
    Doesn't matter what settings I use I get around 120fps average at 1440p.
    In Radeon settings I overide the AA with "x4 Multismapling", Anistropic filtering "x2" and Tesselation to "off". This way I have a crisp smooth image without the blurriness of TAA.
    Textures high, shadows low, HBAO very high colored, SSR high and everything else off.

    If you have decent hardware but still have 8-16 gb of ram, increase your windows paging file (virtual memory) to at least 8gb-16gb or 12-24 and it will make a huge difference. Make sure the space is allocated onto your SSD if you have one

    IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE FOVs!!!! PLEASE READ - The biggest thing between the FoVs is it changes the eye relief with Optics, this has the largest effect with magnified optics. Please load into the Hideout and check in the shooting range if you do not believe me - Low FoV with (for example) the Valday leaves you with the black ring around the optic and it sways with character movement. HOWEVER, if you set your FoV above 60-65 (I sit at around 70) you remove this entirely and the Valday becomes one of, if not the, cleanest optic in the game.

    My system:
    i7 8750H
    GTX 1050 Ti
    16GB RAM
    M.2 SSD
    Some observations I made during my plays around RAM cleaner and phys core
    RAM Cleaner: I tested this on my setup with 8GB of RAM and there it helped a ton. However on the 16GB with the RAM cleaner on it made some horrendous stutters ingame
    Physical cores: Turning it off actually made the game have a bit less stable FPS. I was able to achieve higher FPS however for some reason my low 1% were way worse than with it on.
    The other thing is that my friend has a better pc than my laptop and for him the phys cores only makes the game worse.
