Jake McHugh just figured I should comment to let you know . I am a new TH-camr as well and I am trying to figure out what is the best microphone for my iPhone for vlogging . Between movo and rode mic . When I typed in search yours was the first and you thumbnail caught my eye especially your title . Now I know which mic I am going to purchase ! Thank you so much !!
Interesting! I think with the movo you need to do a few tweaks in post to get it good where as the Rode it's more plug and play! I'm glad that this helped you out! Thanks for watching!
Hey Guys! I created a playlist with a bunch of videos that go over both of these microphones and compare them. I hope this helps you decide what mic is best for your videos!!! bit.ly/2WdE5YI
Jake McHugh your video is perfect I like how you explain each microphone give tips and actually show us the sound in door and out door . How can you tell if the microphones are working while your vlogging ?
Thanks for the feedback! The way you can tell on a camera would be looking at your audio levels and usually there will be a mic symbol. On a phone you would have to listen closely in playback and you will hear a difference between using a mic and one without! The mic will sound a lot more directional and less hissy!
Honestly they both sound good, the Movo just has a bit more low-mids, which can create a slight muddy sound, but is super simple to adjust in post so definitely not a deal breaker. Overall quality on both was great, and i think it just comes down to what budget you're on atm. Great options indeed.
Only 524 subscribers? You surely deserve more! Just subscribed. I use the MOVO VXR10 because it's about 6dB louder than the Røde VideoMicro. That means your microphone volume levels can be lowered in the camera which means less hiss / noise because the preamp is doing less work :)
@@JakeMcHugh Seems like the Movo versus Rode assessment would be different depending on which camera you're using it with? I think Movo's advantages are well suited to Canon bodies, given their [apparently] poor quality pre-amps. I'm shooting with a 70D, so this is a helpful comparison as I'm considering which to purchase.
Movo I absolutely agree @jake mchugh as I record on my iPhone XR I am going to purchase the movo you have a new subscriber plus I hit the bell once again this video is absolutely the best . I don’t need to look for another video !
Hey Jake, thanks for putting this comparison together. There is definitely a difference between the two. In every test situation, the Movo seemed to produce a warmer, bassier sound to it. However, it also picked up more of the ambient noise when you were outside. It's a tough call between the two. Like you had mentioned though, there are different users for each one.
Yes, I find that the Movo picks up the lower frequencies much more than the Rode. It works nicer for voices like mine for this reason I think. I personally find the Rode to pick up more ambient noise though due to it's omnidirectional pick up pattern. If you want a more thorough comparison I highly recommend checking out my part 2 which you can find here: th-cam.com/video/Q-04CynuFSk/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching!

The Movo would be perfect for podcasts because it picks up the bass of the human voice quite well, and possibly ideal for recording an acoustic music performance because of it's extra sensitivity. We should not be fooled that the Movo is "better" because it records louder. In your editing you would just simply bring up the volume on your Rode-micked project. Final statement, if you are on-the-go, and doing a lot of outdoors or nature videos, sports, etc., then the Rode would handle better because it's not so sensitive to movements and i'd say wind-senstivity, too. But for studio work, seems like the Movo takes that prize.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm looking for a microphone to boost the sound when I film outdoors and I have a preference for how the Rode sounds in that environment. I've seen many video reviews filmed for the Movo inside and somewhat chaotic outdoor tests so hearing a calm piece of dialogue really helped.
Great explanation-- especially for me, I have the m50 mark ii, and you convinced me to get the Movo VXR10. Really well-presented to. Especially the in-studio stuff looked real pretty and you have a great voice. I do want to make one suggestion though. I had trouble comparing your examples-- after a while, I'd forget what the other mic sounded like. At times I was even a little unsure about which camera you were focusing on. You may want to consider going to a choppier compare-and-contrast narrative structure, as opposed to the more long-form structure you have. But, overall, really great job. And, most important, you helped ME. Thank you.
Really nice video! You definitely confirmed my purchase of the Movo mic. I got the mic to go with my Canon M50 Mark II. Thanks for sharing your video with us.
Great review! It's refreshing after seeing so many crap reviews where you cannot even hear the difference when they test it because they're all over the place with their ceiling fan blasted and just super annoying lmfao. Thank you for this, it helped me make my decision and I am definitely going for the Movo!

Hey man - good job on the comparison. I will say at 3:55 - 3:57 (and in other places with the MOVO), you can definitely hear an electric buzz in the background. Even though the audio itself sounds like it has more body, that buzz basically kills it for me. I'm curious if you were using different cables or anything? I didn't notice the buzz on the outdoor vlog style shooting, but that's likely because there was so much more ambient noise. Thanks again for the effort you put in here.
Hey Allen! So I was using the cables that were supplied with the mic throughout the video. I’ll have to listen to it more again, but I think it could either be my AC running (it’s terrible in that room) or just a really hot signal. On the Panasonic GH5 you can only go down -12dB in the settings and with my Movo you are getting close to peaking sometimes. I’m hoping to do a part two of this video since it’s been a year from this one being released and I have more experience with them. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!!
@@JakeMcHugh The outdoor audio with the MOVO sounded as though there was a motor in the background (possibly a high noise floor), but I did like the quality of the audio other than that. If you get a chance, would you check that part of the clip and let us know if that sound/noise was from your outside AC unit or not? Thanks, Chuck : +)
Chuck Johnson 7 what you are probably hearing is dump trucks driving in the area. There was some construction going on at the time and there was trucks coming and going all day haha. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!!
@@JakeMcHugh Cool. Gonna get the MOVO ... to add the the existing pack of mics that I have. Hey, can't have too many mics or backup (confidence) audio recordings, right? I shudder at the shoots in the past where I had only 1 recording device for sound ... which failed (more than once). Some things ya just CANNOT recover, RIGHT? : +
Very nice video! I just started vlogging and tried vxr3030 and vxr10. This vxr10 is small so I can carry around and not get much attention and just plug and play so I just stick with the vxr10.
Sounded to me like the Rode was noisier outdoors. Even though your voice was about as clear with both, the Movo seemed to eliminate sound you weren't trying to record better. Is that what you find in general?
Oh darn. I just re-listened with headphones (rather than my TV speakers) and I hear a low rumbly-like sound outdoors with the Movo. Was there a motorcycle or truck somewhere nearby, or is that wind, or just low-frequency noise?
what you are hearing is dump trucks driving in the area. There was some construction going on at the time and there was trucks coming and going all day haha
Thank you for this extensive test. I think the Movo VXR10 sounds a bit better, but you don't hear the birds in the background anymore which I did with the rode.
Thanks for this video. I think I will choose the Movo. Surprised as I always had Rode. They both sound good But I can hear a more playful and crispy sound without losing the 'base' in the studio with the Movo and outside the surrounding noises are more in the background/quiet compared to the Rode. Great video!
I’m trying to research getting a decent sound for recording Instagram clips. But putting mics on all my drums would easily cost of 1k :/ but thank you for the review!! Sounds good
Great vid man. I like the Movo best. It has a more of an "in your face" factor, let me explain. It kind of channels and pushes your voice more towards the person you're addressing, and since I have a naturally quieter voice, I appreciate that touch. I also think that this lends to it being more directional, and I thought that it was harder to hear ambient noise with it in the vid. If you're shooting outside and don't want ambient noise, I think this is the way to go. Great stuff man, thanks for the review.
I Agree with Skyhawk637 when he said This review deserves more attention! It's exactly what I was looking for and well produced. Based on your demo/review, I think the Movo will suit my needs the best. You earned a new subscriber.
The Rhodes has a more pronounced sound at around the 800hz and 2Khz, making the voice sound more brittle and intensifying the sibilance ("S" sounds). Whereas the Movo has more happening in the low mid giving the voice a more full-bodied sound so it's not as brittle sounding as the Rhodes. I like the Rhodes for eliminating ambient noise, but I like the Movo for the more full-bodied sound. This might be a difficult choice for me because I don't want to have to do too much in post. The "S" sounds on the Rhodes are so harsh they're gonna need to be de-essed in post. Great review, thank you.
Excellent work Jake! Movo for me as difference not hugely noticeable to my untrained ears, so price is the deciding factor. Very commendable that you take the trouble to reply to comments - so many don't bother. Have subbed.
Thanks! This was helpful. You got a new subscriber. I'm going with the Movo. I 'm just starting my TH-cam channel. I do martial art and self defense so both indoor and outdoor scenarios. Thinking I will need to clip on mike next.
Great video!!! I would have love to hear the ambient/background noises minus your voice. I thought I heard birds but couldn't hear which mic better picked up those noises.
Very good video, easy to understand and love that you actually compared both inside and out, it helped me make up my mind. You also got me to subscribe. :-)
Pretty impressed with that movo. I did a wedding over the weekend and I was standing next to the camera and could barely hear the pastor because it was outdoor and he wasn’t mic’d and the mic actually picked it up pretty good. Not amazing but usable, especially considering the situations. My iPhone from closer picked up nothing.
Thats great to hear Ryan! Both of these mics are pretty good for the money! We are fortunate to be in a time where we can have some pretty decent equipment at a budget price. Thanks for watching!
Was I the only person to notice the constant bass sound on the outside test of the Movo? Almost like a VERY low pitched rumble. I agree the Movo does sound the clearest even with the low rumble outside.
I heard it as well but I think it was a truck, motorcycle or plane because its tone and volume varies throughout (at one point it really seams to have a motorcycle rumble) and by the end of the segment it's gone or nearly gone.
You are correct. If I remember correctly there was some construction nearby that week when I shot that clip outside. I was hearing trucks coming and going all day. Thanks to both of you for watching!!!
Thank you so much for this!! You make it so easy to understand which mic is a good option, especially for newbies to vlogging like me! I got the MOVO XRV10 for my puppet shows, and health vlog, I reversed my type 2 diabetes with nutrition only no medications, so I want to teach and inspire through fun ! Can't thank you enough!
Thanks for watching Redbull! Glad to hear that you were able to decide after watching this video! I hope you enjoy the new microphone! It is a great one for the money!
Gonna be using one of these on my DJI OM 4 with my iPhone 11 pro max.. I'm liking the movo.. Have you tried the rode me-l with the lightning connector?
No I have not actually. Looks interesting for sure, but I don't use smartphones much for creating any content as I use my cameras for everything. Thanks for watching!
Could be! I find the movo to be more directional which could be why it sounds more natural to you. Either way you can’t really go wrong with either mic! Thanks for watching!
HI, great video , which mic would you go with for recording guitar and backing music ? i am having trouble just using the mic on the sony VZ-1f i have , let me know what you think ,Thanks
This was really helpful, I'm still undecided on which mic to get and was wondering what you would chose? I have a fujifilm XT20 and will be using the mic for various types of videos for my business, some examples are of different events (both indoors and outdoors) following people walking and touring homes and also interviewing people who will be stationary (both indoor and outdoor settings), with the videos for work being my primary focus. I also would love a mic that is great for vlogging and travel videos. With all that I mentioned above which mic would you recommend? Also for reference I have been doing photography for 4 years in a professional manner, but picked up my first camera and really started learning the ins and outs 8 years ago. I had my own real estate photography business that I ran until I became a Realtor and now continue to use my skills for our team but I am looking to step up our videography in what we do to promote our business and the homes we list.
You really can't go wrong with either one in my opinion! I find the Movo to be more directional which is nicer for dialogue situation because you just hear more of the voice only. When shooting outside I like the Rode more due to the fact is that it handles the wind nicer in my experience. The deadcat on it is nicer than the Movo which helps block the wind more I feel and it's not as hot or sensitive as the Movo so you don't hear the wind blowing as much in your videos. Both are really great mics for the price, I'm sure either one will get the job done for you! I hope this helps!
Big thumbs up on the consize explanation. I have a Canon M50 and will stick to auto audio settings - can you kindly let me know your opinion which of these 2 mikes you would choose in my position? I'll be using this for vlogging. Thanks in advance
In your case I think I would go with the Movo so you can keep your camera’s pre amps as low as possible, but I do prefer the build quality of the Rode slightly more. I highly suggest you check out my part two of this comparison as it goes much more in detail about these mics which you can find here: th-cam.com/video/Q-04CynuFSk/w-d-xo.html I hope this helps and thanks for watching!!
@@JakeMcHugh Thank you so much for your dedication and time, very appreciated. getting the Movo, if i manage to find in stock as apparently stocks very low at the moment, even on amazon!
I have a canon eos rebel sl1 (100d) and I’m planning on traveling out the country this year ever since the whole pandemic, I know you said that the movo is a ideal mic for canon cameras. But I was wondering after a whole year has gone by do you still think the movo is a good mic for my camera or should I go with the rode instead.
I have purchased the Mova VXR10 and testing for wind noise as I will be filming outside for the most part. With a 15mph wind it was very loud and static. Have you tested these in windy conditions. Thank you
Excellent video, man. I think you're well on your way to many thousands of subscribers. That said, I like the sound of the Rode better. I can hear more rumbling and lower ambient noises on the Movo. Don't get me wrong.. it sounds fantastic so I would take either or, but as far as directional sound the Rode does a much better job. However, because you have a deeper voice, I think the Movo makes you sounds better in your studio! haha.
Thank you very much for the kind words! I also like the rode a tad more myself, but since you mentioned this with my voice I think I may revisit this soon in the future! Thanks for watching!!
Jake McHugh For the interest of your viewers I should mention that I was going to get the Movo and went to Amazon to read reviews. Man.. the number one complaint people seem to have is the attachment arm being so stiff and brittle on it. There were tons of people who had it break into multiple pieces. Movo sells a replacement for $12 plus shipping, which means if you break it and replace it you’ve paid the same price at the Rode mic... considering I have a roller skating/rollerblading/ice skating channel I am always filming in heavy action settings and it’s not entirely uncommon for me to fall and slam my gear on the ice or pavement, so I ended up going with the Rode mic to use with my Insta360 One R. I feel like the Rode is probably the better choice also because it seems to cut out excess background noise better. Cheers man! Subscribed.
Does the windshield from Movo VXR10 fit on the Rode VideoMicro? I lost the one for my Rode and as a new one costs $25, I was thinking about spending an extra $15 for another mic. Thanks!
Hi! My nice headphones are broke and I can't really hear the difference myself with my current headphones, which one of these has a better sound quality, and which one has less noise? I would be very grateful for your answer! ✨
Both sound great! The Movo is a little more directional so you don’t notice as much ambient sound as with the Rode. Generally noise is from the Preamps in cameras more than the mics themselves so if you have poor preamps (like canon cameras) then the movo is nicer. Movo is the better choice for smartphones as well since it comes with both cords. Thanks for watching!
@@JakeMcHugh thank you so much for the answer! I actually need one of these mics for my pc or phone(the other ones I've seen are too pricey for me, and I don't want a usb mic) I also have a phantom power if they require it. I tried searching for movo, but seems like I can't buy it in my country. I only found rode on AliExpress, people say it's an original one. But if I somehow would find movo...I've heard that the movo is louder than rode, and if you lower the wolume on the post production you'll get cleaner sound. Also people in other reviews say rode has more highs and movo has more bass. Sometimes when I do voiceacting with my current mic my voice gets annoyingly high sometimes, would it be nicer for me to get bassy movo to kinda fix that? And I've heard that if you lover the highs when editing you'll ruin the sound quality. Is that true? (。•́︿•̀。) Sorry for so many questions
Maybe you could look into the Behringer XM8500 which is a XLR mic for around $20 USD. It's good for the money and you could use it with a standard XLR to USB cable or with your pre amp which would be a little better. This mic is really great at eliminating background noise and picking up your voice only. The only downside is that it would be more difficult to use with a phone. You could see an example of me using this microphone in this video here around 5:25: th-cam.com/video/xNNjO76YbhQ/w-d-xo.html As far as the Movo vs Rode, the Rode doesn't work with computers easily and the Movo does, but it isn't ideal. Both of these mics don't require a preamp, but it could help with the movo for computer use. The Movo would help a little more with bass, but you could add it in post as well. You can adjust the levels in post, but only a little bit. The best thing to do is to set your levels before you start recording and having your peaks hit around -12dB to avoid having your voice distort. Often with cheaper or lower quality microphones the higher frequencies begin to have a more "Tinny" sound. With all these mics mentioned you don't really have to worry about this. I would say if you are going to use a mic with your phone over 75% of the time then go with the Movo. If you are going to use it with your computer over 75% then I would go with the Behringer. I hope this helps!
Great video. You could show the audio tracks from both test videos to compare the microphones from a technical perspective. The Audio digital track is not subjective to the user. Givesy ou the best of both worlds of comparison.
Movo VRX10 mic works fine but I’m looking for a cord to extend the signal, and implement a boom arm. Which type of cable extension do I need????? I’m using an iPhone 11.
Hi, thanks to share your interesting video. I have never used a microphone for my Lumix GH5, also because it has a good mic. incorporated. Please let me understand, this is not a criticism. If you are vloging, to shoot only a few minutes where the microphone is actually useful in a working day, but unfortunately you have to leave it on the camera all the time causing you only some annoyance. My question: how useful do you see it to those who do not do any interviews, etc. etc.? Thanks for your thought.
If you would mount it to the top I would say so because GoPros are pretty wide angles. If you mounted it on the side you might be able to get away without needing one. Thanks for watching! Tight lines!
All the differences between the two mics - loudness, background noise etc - can be attributed to the fact that the Movo simply has more low end. At least, that's my opinion.

This was a perfect comparison!! Quality video brother, thank you!
UNDERRATTED!! i thought u had way more subs!! gained one more!!
Very nice video! I just started vlogging and tried vxr3030 and vxr10. This vxr10 is small so I can carry around and not get much attention and just plug and play so I just stick with the vxr10.
Great choice! Thanks for watching!
Sounded to me like the Rode was noisier outdoors. Even though your voice was about as clear with both, the Movo seemed to eliminate sound you weren't trying to record better. Is that what you find in general?
Pretty much! Seems to me that the Movo is more directional which is better in some cases. Thanks for watching!
Excellent work. Keep going!
Great video! I’m going to check those mics out!
Thanks for watching!
Great comparison video Jake. I personally preferred the Movo for depth of sound and as I shoot Canon I went with Movo on your recommendation. Thanks!
Thank you for this extensive test. I think the Movo VXR10 sounds a bit better, but you don't hear the birds in the background anymore which I did with the rode.
Not a problem, I’m glad I could help! I agree with you that the Movo seems more directional. Thanks for watching!
Hi Jake Thank you so much for the excellent review. My Movo is on order. So will let you know how it performs. Simon . London England:)
Thanks! Let me know how you like it! Glad I could help!
I'm just getting my channel started, so this is very helpful! Thank you!
Awesome! I’m glad I could help and thanks for watching!!
Thanks for this video. I think I will choose the Movo. Surprised as I always had Rode. They both sound good But I can hear a more playful and crispy sound without losing the 'base' in the studio with the Movo and outside the surrounding noises are more in the background/quiet compared to the Rode. Great video!
Great video. Helped me with making my choice between these two mics.
Great! Glad I could help out 👍🏼 thanks for watching!
I’m trying to research getting a decent sound for recording Instagram clips. But putting mics on all my drums would easily cost of 1k :/ but thank you for the review!! Sounds good
Thank you! If you want to hear my more recent thoughts on these two mics make sure to check out my part two video!
This was super helpful! Thank you!
This is a great comparison! Thanks Man
No problem! I’m glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Great presenter voice and review!
Great video! Thanks a bunch man.
Great comparison, thanks Jake.
No problem! Thanks for watching!
I Agree with Skyhawk637 when he said This review deserves more attention! It's exactly what I was looking for and well produced. Based on your demo/review, I think the Movo will suit my needs the best. You earned a new subscriber.
Thank you for the kinds words! I’m glad my video was able to help you out!
Your video has great sound and great quality!! I love it!!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
To me the main difference is the dynamic range on the Movo mic. It captures a better quality of sound in my opinion, but they are both quality mics.
thanks. this was very helpful. will be getting the movo.
Awesome! I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Bro, your quality is awesome. You deserve many more subs! Keep going!
Thanks so much!
Excellent work Jake! Movo for me as difference not hugely noticeable to my untrained ears, so price is the deciding factor. Very commendable that you take the trouble to reply to comments - so many don't bother. Have subbed.
Thank you for the kind words and the sub! I really appreciate it and I'm glad that I could help you pick out a mic!
Thanks for this video buddy! very helpful test footage! just subbed!
Absolutely Love It!
Thanks! This was helpful. You got a new subscriber. I'm going with the Movo. I 'm just starting my TH-cam channel. I do martial art and self defense so both indoor and outdoor scenarios. Thinking I will need to clip on mike next.
Awesome! I’m glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
Jake McHugh just ordered the Movo
Great video, I just subscribed.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Preferred the Movo in studio. Thanks for the good video. Well done.
Great video!!! I would have love to hear the ambient/background noises minus your voice. I thought I heard birds but couldn't hear which mic better picked up those noises.
Thank you! For ambient noises from my experience the Rode is better for that as the Movo seems more directional. Thanks for watching!!
Very good video, easy to understand and love that you actually compared both inside and out, it helped me make up my mind. You also got me to subscribe. :-)
Awesome! So glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
I’m glad I could help! That’s awesome! Good luck with your channel and thanks for watching!
@@JakeMcHugh Thanks Jake I got the mic and camera this week. So excited to start working with it!
Webby Wanda Awesome! Let me know how you like it!

great video. Ordering my movo today!
Thanks for watching Redbull! Glad to hear that you were able to decide after watching this video! I hope you enjoy the new microphone! It is a great one for the money!
@@JakeMcHugh No problem. I used your link. Keep up the good work!

Beautifully done. Please doa video on post processing audio as well
Thanks! I will add that to the list of topics for upcoming videos. Thanks for watching!

Really great video thankyou so much brother 🙏
What would you do to cut the sibilants (whistling s's)? Were you using a pop filter?
Gonna be using one of these on my DJI OM 4 with my iPhone 11 pro max.. I'm liking the movo.. Have you tried the rode me-l with the lightning connector?
No I have not actually. Looks interesting for sure, but I don't use smartphones much for creating any content as I use my cameras for everything. Thanks for watching!
Hey, how did this go?
maybe im biased cause I honestly was hoping the movo would sound better. but I think the audio was more clear and natural sounding through the movo
Could be! I find the movo to be more directional which could be why it sounds more natural to you. Either way you can’t really go wrong with either mic! Thanks for watching!
@@JakeMcHugh thank you for the excellent video and thorough responses! easy sub
HI, great video , which mic would you go with for recording guitar and backing music ? i am having trouble just using the mic on the sony VZ-1f i have , let me know what you think ,Thanks
Great video! I went with the movo
Really helpful
Thank you
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
i live next to a busy area where lot of vehicles move everyday. so if i use one of these mics, will it eliminate most of the noise for youtubing?
Thanks for this video 👍🏾
No problem!! Thanks for watching!
can i reccomend showing a picture of the mic you re testing on the side while testing
I highly suggest you check out my part two of this comparison as it goes much more in detail about these mics which you can find here:
th-cam.com/video/Q-04CynuFSk/w-d-xo.html
I hope this helps and thanks for watching!!
@@JakeMcHugh Thank you so much for your dedication and time, very appreciated. getting the Movo, if i manage to find in stock as apparently stocks very low at the moment, even on amazon!
The rode has a low cut that is filtering out a lot of that traffic noise right in the mic. You can achieve the same in the movo in post.
👍Very helpful. Thank you. 💝
Great review
Jake McHugh
For the interest of your viewers I should mention that I was going to get the Movo and went to Amazon to read reviews. Man.. the number one complaint people seem to have is the attachment arm being so stiff and brittle on it. Cheers man!
Subscribed.
That’s a good thing to know! Thanks for this. I will make sure to make note of this if I ever do a follow up video!
Does the windshield from Movo VXR10 fit on the Rode VideoMicro? I lost the one for my Rode and as a new one costs $25, I was thinking about spending an extra $15 for another mic. Thanks!
It sure does! Thanks for watching!
I have the Movo I love it but outside I noticed high ambient noises outside with the Rode but not with the Movo
Sorry for so many questions
Maybe you could look into the Behringer XM8500 which is a XLR mic for around $20 USD. It's good for the money and you could use it with a standard XLR to USB cable or with your pre amp which would be a little better. This mic is really great at eliminating background noise and picking up your voice only. The only downside is that it would be more difficult to use with a phone. You could see an example of me using this microphone in this video here around 5:25: th-cam.com/video/xNNjO76YbhQ/w-d-xo.html
As far as the Movo vs Rode, the Rode doesn't work with computers easily and the Movo does, but it isn't ideal.

I would try something like this one or search for “mic extension cord 3.5mm.” Thanks for watching!
I have a GoPro her 8 media mod, you think it needs the “elevator” cold shoe to keep the wind screen out of the camera view?
If you would mount it to the top I would say so because GoPros are pretty wide angles. If you mounted it on the side you might be able to get away without needing one. Thanks for watching! Tight lines!
All the differences between the two mics - loudness, background noise etc - can be attributed to the fact that the Movo simply has more low end. At least, that's my opinion.
Canceled my order for the moukey and picked this up for the extra 15 dollars or whatever it is. Thanks for this review, good test bud!
Nice! I’m glad I could help!
