Great sound! The Akra and the SC-Projekt are one of the best exhausts for the single R

    No cement needed then?

Goodness, gracious me! 😁 I've recently purchased the 2020 model and now that it's been run in (sort of) I'm thinking about the exhaust. The specs suggest increased torque. Is that noticeable? Is the sounds on the deceleration still as sweet as the stock exhaust? Love that pop & burble on the downshift.

Gabriel Johannson I’d highly recommend. The torque is crazy on this bike anyway so can’t say I’ve noticed the exhaust adding to it. The deceleration sounds are much better than stock though, I love it. Once warmed up it’s pops & burbles as much as you want. 😊

@@HP_84 Thank you for the reply & I'm sorry for the delay in my response acknowledging you. Many thanks. This is on my 'to-do list' this year.

@@gabrieljohannson6777 No problem at all. If I can I’ll try & get some footage of the exhaust this year, once the weather gets a little better ☺️.

Love that moto gp exhaust. I’m buying a 2019 S1000R and would like to add it to mine. Do you need to re-map the bike or re-flash the ECU? I don’t like loud deceleration popping so is there a way to avoid? Thanks!!!

Robert Davis thanks bud. No remap etc required. Simply a slip-on with the Cat still in place. No loud deceleration popping either. Muffled pop is the best way I can describe it coming off acceleration. All round I’m very happy with it :)

Would you think about removing the ugly cat? Then it will look even better but Im told it is really loud!

Robert Davis No I wouldn’t consider removing the cat. I don’t think it looks too bad as is & I can certainly live with its appearance for a far superior sound quality. I know people who’ve gone for a full system who’ve regretted it & reinstalled the cat for the sake of their ears & willingness to sleep that night :)

Agreed!! One other thought I have is to purchase the carbon fiber belly pan from Ilmberger to hid it. Thanks!!!
