Great hauls, and such a thoughtful package of happy mail. I’m having a bit of reorganization this week as well. If it helps with your filming anxiety even a little bit, remember that we’re not here to judge your “performance.” We’re not perfect - we fumble around and trip over our tongues - and we don’t expect perfection from our wonderfully selfless teachers. We love you and are grateful for all you share with us. ❤
Love it Tracie. Wouldn’t know you were anxious. The material you couldn’t remember the name of it Broderie Anglais. I struggle with it too but it just came to me when I saw it xx
All of that frothy lace! Your methodology is brilliant, I want to sit down and start on mine while I watch The Chosen; a double dose of inspiration. Thank you for sharing☺
Your lace is beautiful and happy ad wonderfully sorted. Just looking at those bits and pieces makes a person smile. Super idea on a way to store them as well. Now you know exactly where your lace is and you'll be inspired to use it ❤😊
I am an avid recycler/up-cycler. I decorate & repurpose shoe boxes, cool packaging from items that come in a larger box with a "flap" type lid, etc. Some I've covered in fabric. But my favorite ones, I've used maps, decorative scrapbook papers, old belts...whatever! I've decorated with corner/bracket die cuts...distressed & "rusted". I've even cut the top flaps off of Amazon boxes & covered them with beautiful paper & distressed edges for open storage. Several have my 8.5x11 US sized cardstock in them. I do create a lot of my own storage solutions, with drawers & "pull-outs", etc. It's fun, great to get your creative mojo flowing when your stuck...and I'm repurposing what is essentially trash.😁 It's mostly "free". And, it also let's me coordinate with my vintage style, craft-space "theme".😉 I love your haul! Such amazing treasures & lovely happy mail!💖 Tysm for sharing your ideas & inspiration.💜💜💜
Love those big stamps. Can't wait to see what you make. Cathrine is so kind. Bless her. You have to see Kerry's video today. You will laugh. Must be bobbin day for laces lol Love all your lace. It does look like an elephant and a rhino. You have become so animated today. Hope you can get your video head back on. We do miss you. Sending heaps of love xxx
Wow Tracy, I have known for quite some time how talented you are at paper crafting. Now you have demonstrated how good you are with storage and organization, not to mention shopping. I ended up buying all brand new lace because I don't have any place to go in my little town for vintage items. The idea of taking something apart that has all different kinds of laces and trims on it was an eye-opener. I'm going to start looking for that kind of stuff. Thank goodness you are so willing to share your ideas with us. People like you never cease to amaze me at how willing you are to share your talent and knowledge with us. From these comments apparently there are many people who feel the same way I do. I am selfish enough to hope that you get over your anxiety very soon but I also hope that you get over it in such a way that you are happy and comfortable with your endeavors. Take care of yourself.❤
I love your lace haul! I’ve tried working with boxes in the past to store and organize my supplies. However; I find I do better and I use more of my products when they are in some type of clear storage containers or cubes. When I can look at my shelf and see what I have it’s easier for me to stay organized. I also craft more efficiently.
Bravo on the finds! You remind me how much time it takes to organize something like lace., but once completed it helps trmendously so as to see what you have. Vital to junk journaling.
What a fabulous haul! We have very few thrift shops left in my area, time to check the garage sales. My daughter and I just organized my ribbons and need to do the laces next. I would fold in those side pieces to make your bobbins stiffer, mine are die-cut and I glue 2 together for strength. I have a smaller paisley wooden printing block and I love it! They're meant for fabric printing so a padded surface is used. The cotton lace is called Eyelet, I've used yards of it in my lifetime!! Take good care of yourself, and what you film is a nice visit with friends who care about you.
You were my first introduction to junk Journaling. Your videos are always amazing ❤️. Love the way you stored all those beautiful laces. I feel like they always try to escape order 😆
Lovely and tidy and VERY inspirational, thanks, Traci!! I have lots of lace and have yet to find an ideal way of storing it - perhaps I've just found it. I suspect I'll be busy for absolute DAYS!! Hugs from the southern California desert, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Lovely gift from your friend Catherine, who I hope is doing OK. Great hauls - especially the beautiful lace. The one you couldn't think of the name I've known as 'Broderie Anglaise' (spelling?!). Hope your anxiety eases - you're a treasure and we love your videos! Oh - and that hand-carved inking block - fabulous!
I love the way you made those cards to store your lace. I did something similar, except i just used rectangular cards. This is so much better. Thank you for sharing
I swear it’s like I was led to you. I’ve been cleaning through everything and have been so stumped figuring out a way to organize all the lace and ribbons. Thank you so much!!! Love your videos!
Wow, what a great haul! Beautiful goodies. I love your idea for spools! I need to do a good cleaning and this will be perfect for lace or fabric or snippet rolls! Wonderful inspiration as always. Hugs 🤗❤️
Great ideas!! I have lots of lace from my Mum ❤ I have several bins from her sewing room. She was super organized (my Dad would also come up with and create storage solutions 🥰) Thanks for the great video 💕
I have done something similar but not with wooden boxes. I have a long rather narrow pasteboard box and I cut a shape similar to yours out of some junk mail that was the right thickness. The box fits just perfectly in the top shelf of my trolley. The lace that you got was just gorgeous.
I love the lace. I might have a teensy obsession with lace. 😅 I do the same storage with it but I have it in a filing cabinet. Lovely hauls, I can't wait to see the jelly plate things.
Yay! I do something very similar with plastic shoeboxes, although your boxes are much prettier. Someone gave me a load of paint samples, and I wrapped the lace around those. Good to hear your voice! 🤗
Sweet happy mail from Catherine. You found some beautiful vintage laces Tracie! The one you can't remember, we call eyelet lace. I need to figure out lace storage myself for sure. xxxx
Tidy storage of laces, what can be cuter and cozier than that! And for me this is a double treasure because I love to create my own storage organizers with off cuts of wood from my husband’s projects. I line the upper edge with the wooden strips (trim), the rest is cardboard, textured décor and paint. I am going to follow some tutorials of fabric/lace rust/coffee dyeing and will then store them in my boxes on cards like you show. 28:40 wow, this tape measure on the edge of your vintage box...I am going to print some of tape measure images, glue to the edges of my boxes & varnish. Fabulous!🎀
Lovely happy mail from Catherine and that printing stamp is gorgeous 😍 I like how you make your spools, may have to do some like that to store my multitude of lace 😂😘
Love your hauls, looking forward to seeing what you do with it all. funny enough I was just looking at my lace and thinking about organising it. Take care ❤
Fabulous haul, I have done something similar for most of my laces,, it really is time consuming but so nice to be able to see what you have after. I will be using your tag idea for my next box Loved that idea, Tracy. I would like to find some wood boxes like you have, mine are all different sizes and overstuffed. Thanks for the inspiration, Hugs and Smiles

Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. And creative organizing is sooooo good for the soul (and the mind). 🤍🤍🤍

So love seeing your haUl. Of course they were fabulous especially the lace.

What a brilliant idea to use the punchboard to make the indentations so the lace doesn’t fall off the card. Thanks so much for this video.

Just home from visiting UK I couldnt find any scrapbooking shops near where my Daughter lives
We dont reeally have a lot in the UK for scrapbooking. Hobby craft, The Works, The Range are the best nationwide options x
