Lori I absolutely love how you tied all the collaboration videos together in your video. We learn so much from each other in this community, and you took that one step further with your craft room reminders. Great idea!! Congratulations on your new space. It's fantastic!! Love, Denise Settles (PaperKraftD)

I agree wholeheartedly, we should be open to changing our space as we evolve in our creative journey. I absolutely love your windows - I would love that amount of sunshine!

I’m so pleased to watch your video Lori! I love your sunny room and your calm attitude toward setting up this space. You seem to know just what you need to do and yet are open about the experiment and it’s always good to remain open to something better. I’m also pleased that you want to try out my sorting trays method for your scraps. I hope that system will be helpful! Thanks so much for the mention - that’s very kind. It doesn’t have to be just three trays, however many divisions you need to have it make sense -it’s just the nesting system that works for me. Lovely video! Thanks for taking the time.

Thank you for commenting and your kind words, Kathleen @beagainbooks - I love watching your videos, especially the series on tag templates made a difference for me. I look forward to finding the "right" trays to add to my box and then sorting all the stuff! I'll tag you when I'm done and show in a video! I've watched a video about making 3-item collaging and that's my goal to be the first thing to do with the new system.
      Happy crafting! - Lori

I enjoyed your tour! I think it's awesome to see everyone at different stages in setting up their craft room and seeing so many different organizing styles. I have shelves like that and they are very sturdy and wonderfully adjustable. I actually bought several so that I could use the shelves from one and add them to the other units to have extra and more shallow shelves.
Thank you so much for the quote cards. Your website is beautiful. I'm really happy to have found you! 💕

Oh, thank you so much! Happy you liked the website. It's a "work of love" LOL ... And so cool that we have the same shelving. I just discovered I can hang things from the shelves with carabiners and I'm going to explore that more when I can pick some up. I'm guessing an "s" hook would work, but what's hanging may fall easier... Have you decorated your shelving in any unique ways? Wishing you happy crafting - Lori

@@PositiveThanksLiving Oh yes! They are fabulous for hanging things. Most notable is jewelry dangles with lobster claw clasps, fabric scraps with curtain hooks, and my smaller stencils using book rings.

Hi yes I have two shoes hanger . At first I put punches the other one is to small , for now I do t know 😊

    • @PositiveThanksLiving
      @PositiveThanksLiving  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

Yes - isn't it a dilemma? In our imagination, they're going to be so useful! Not all the spaces in both my shoe hanger thingys are used - I do like having the punches in the pockets and I do like the rolls of wrapping paper... but now what? I was wondering if they'd be good spots to put my completed tags - like a pocket that's protected and a specific place to go when I need a tag - whether its for a gift, or for a journal or... I may give that a try. I'll put it in a video if it works! Happy crafting! - Lori

    Hi Lori💞
I do have an similar organizer on my door that holds my paper punches. 😊 I love the space and have the same shelves but mine are half as tall. I'm in a sunroom and windows all around, love natural light. Thank you for sharing your space it looks inspiring. Big hugs🤗

Oh yes, Celeste / the natural light is a delight. Cool that we each have those hanging organizers. I’m thinking I might put one on the back of my main door… Happy Crafting / stay warm, my friend. 🩵🩵🩵 Lori

I'm typing out my list of questions as I watch...☺I hope you don't mind a longer comment today.
I love the waterfall packs? Is that what you called them? I've called them envelope stacks & I think they're so fun to make.
You mentioned sending things you make to people...who do you send things to? I struggle to figure out what to do with things I make. I tend to only make something once I have someone to send something to. I plan what I want to make for someone specifically. I struggle to create if I don't have someone to create for.
I'm fairly good at shopping my own stash. Though I do so love shopping thrift stores & rarely come out empty handed from one.
I moved last May & have my very own crafting space. I set space limits so if I filled up a container with certain items, I forced myself to go through & get rid of some. I really like how my new space functions but I may change how I use my rolling cart after watching your video. At the moment, it's filled with crafting supplies for my grandson. He doesn't stay with me as often as he used to so I may take that back for myself.
My craft desk is the desk that was in my room when I was a child., so it's in rough shape. My work table is on risers so it's comfortable to work at standing. I like standing for some work.
You might try standing your dies on end in the pockets & flit through them like files?
thank you for sharing your space. I look forward to seeing the other craft room videos.

🤗 Hello -- I'm thrilled to have a conversation in the comments, @jennyyoung6750 -- 🩵 When I make things I often have a certain person in mind to send it to, and because there are a number of seniors in our church circle, they're often first in my thoughts. My mom is in a care home (she has significant dementia😢) and I try to send her something every week because we live very far away.
I keep a running list of people as I think of them. And I send stuff to a couple of friends who also like paper crafting!
Last spring I actively sought out people who would want something I made with the idea of "regifting" it (making the tags as part of the #100dayproject) - They were tags with more than one spot to write. (the idea being I'd write on the first note, then the person who received it would keep my note, and write on the second spot and send it on to someone else...) Sadly, I mustn't have been good enough at describing the idea, or perhaps many don't mail stuff, or some other reason, but I had a lot of these "makes" left over. On a plus side, those who did receive one expressed their intrigue and that they found it fun. I met some new people through this endeavor with whom I'm still interacting often. I called them "cheerful tags" - here's the video of me making them - th-cam.com/video/pDkaX36pRTA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0aAHCzlPFPUR1iQs
Thrift store shopping sounds like lots of fun - it's another activity on the "try" list! But in the last few years I've been a part of moving both my mom and mother-in-law from their homes into elder care homes and thereby have so, so much from them to use, I feel like I need to make use of all the treasures first before adding to what I have. My boxes are full!
😂And you made me chuckle when you mentioned your cart, because I was thinking of getting a second cart for our grands who love to craft when they visit.... 🤔hmmm... might be a good idea to shelve that idea because, like you, they don't visit as often because of distance.
🩵✅And thank you for the idea of setting up the dies in folders so I can flip through them! I have a spot on my shelf that might work for that. Just need to keep my attention on finding the "right" container for that!
Thanks so much for watching - and for commenting! I hope you have time to craft and lots of fun doing it! ~ Lori🩵🩵🩵

I really enjoy your voice and seeing craft rooms, but I had to stop watching unfortunately because of all the ways the camera was moving. Perhaps consider a different filming method because I would love to watch and even subscribe. Happy crafting!

Thank you for your kind words. And yes, it’s hard to watch videos when the camera shifts as it moves - fortunately this will be the ONLY video with me moving around. (It was a collaboration video with others also showing their craft room and the only way I could complete it was to hold the camera in my hand. It was much more awkward than I expected. I’m sorry it was difficult to watch.) I’m imagining you craft with paper also? Or maybe you’re an artist? What do you enjoy making @jinifirsauer5459 ?

@ Thanks for understanding! I have a craft room where I sew, quilt and now mainly make junk journals or altered art journals. There are piles of old books everywhere so I need to tidy up soon😂. Happy crafting and I’m going to subscribe !

Thanks for responding. 🩵 Yes - my boxes are filled with old books too! (And doilies/linens.) My mom and mother-in-love sadly had to downsize significantly to move into care homes, so much has come to live in our space. Doing something with those books is on my list😉😅 I’m working on altering a book right now! Wishing you lots of peace in your crafting. 🩵 Lori
