Bluetooth compatibility is useful for people who don't have discord on their console. So they use phone to connect them to the discord and then play game audio trough the 2.4ghz wireless. One of my mates literally bought these just to have that instead of using 2 seperate headsets. Top quality product!

The thing that sold me on the Arctis 7 was that ability to switch instantaneously from computer speakers to the headset with a single button press. Huge quality of life improvement and I can't believe no one else has figured it out, as far as I know.

If you got a problem with your Steelseries headset (or any headset) being too tight, I suggest stacking some book (or something similar) on the edge of your desk to about the width of your head, and just leave your headset there. This worked for me with my Arctis Pro Wireless, and so far there’s no issues. Nothing broke, but if you’re trying this, be careful.

Just got my pair of these in the mail today. Awesome headset. I would definitely recommend it. Before buying it I read a lot of reviews on the 9x regarding connectivity issues and that simply was not a problem for me, at least it hasn't been yet. I have used them for around 12 consecutive hours straight out of the box. Sound quality is great, mind you, I was using Astro a10s before this. Range is superb. If you have any questions for me on the headset that wasn't covered in this video feel free to ask.

    • @t0b0
      @t0b0 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The 9X sometimes has connectivity issues because it's forced to use Microsoft's wireless tech. The other Arctis headsets use Steelseries wireless instead, which is streets ahead.

2:40 regarding to your comment, I do like the bluetooth in tandem with the 2.4GHz wireless transmitter. I use my PC for work however I do sometimes need to use my Mac to do conference call and that is very handy to have both on. Yes, overkill but useful
3:35 I use a hotkey to switch between speakers and headphone. It's instant instead of fumble for the power button on the headphone; but yes, it's a very neat feature of the transmitter. I do have the Xbox transmitter and rather double up its usefulness by connect the transmitter with my Xbox controller

I mostly use mine with one ear off while I'm driving a truck for calls. It does an excellent job cancelling wind noise, and a DD13 engine. When I was driving an International with a Cummins X15 I was still easy to hear, but some engine noise was audible. My biggest complaint is how long it takes to turn on. Hold for power, then hold for bluetooth. when answering the phone, it's a faff indeed.

If you’re on a budget get these. If you want Bluetooth you’ll have to get the best model of the Arctis pro which is around 300. Steelseries says the audio range on the pros is better but it’s really not, just stupid marketing. The pros also have the hinge connecting the band to the cups full metal. I’m not sure if the Arctis 9 has this but the Arctis 7 has plastic and they can easily break or get flimsy from this part.

Just to help with some of the comments. They aren’t a replacement for the wireless pro they are an upgrade from the 7s etc. I have the wireless pro. The price is largely for convenience. Music through the wireless pro is very average, dreadful mushy middles but obviously they are for games predominantly. Games sound good but I’m sure that the lower models would be just as good for games. If you use a mic as well then the mic is fairly decent and as good as you can get really on a games headset. I’m certainly not blown away by the sound of the earphones or mic but definitely love the convenience and pay the price for that. I guess on the whole it’s the best compromise. The pro let’s you set and save custom eq so that can be useful for different games. The box is simple to use, nice display, you don’t need to go near any software for PS4 to set all you need. 5 minute set up and then simply works so it’s very convenient and connection is solid. Battery swap out is wonderfully quick and easy and worth getting the pros alone for.

Sorry for my English but I think most will understand;).
Bought them and returned in 3 days. The materials and workmanship are of high quality
but much of it is overrated. We can get this sound with something
cheaper (Sennheiser, Turtle Beach, Razer, Sony) headphones. Max volume is up to 20% weaker
than on other headphones of the same rank .98 db is not enough for wireless headphones !!!
    I used a microphone
on the PS4 PRO and it turned out to be bad, I mean just like I said - bad.
The USB receiver has a large LED indication that blinks constantly, even when
everything is off. I don't understand this part, when this room is in the dark
    is a big irritating thing
transmitter and has no role, you still have to physically move it
from PC to PS4. They have a blue tooth but they are not for the outside, extensible
material that sits on the head so that the whole headphones move and are not stable.
The main ad is a compatible PS4 but like many other handsets in
rank do the same - “chatmix” volume does not work.
I think that the creation of such a great hjpe deserves high marks
of these headphones, again marketing has done the biggest job.

WATERMELONE202 Every aspect of it is amazing if you use it on xbox(haven’t tried PC), except the room for your ears is a bit too shallow for comfort so it really hurts the ears after using it for an hour or two(constant use). 7/10 on the comfort, 9/10 audio, 9/10 overall as a gaming headset. In my opinion of course.

  • @wowawewah

What type of headrest is that? Are these strap like headrests really comfortable? I've tried 4 different headphones in the past year and all 4 have been uncomfortable on the top of my head because of the headrest. Even if it has a lot of cushion it still doesn't help. So far I've tried the following; ATH-PG1, Hyperx Cloud Mix, Hyperx cloud flight, and Razer Blackshark V2 Pro. These were in order and also in order of least comfortable to the most. I've never tried one with a strap as a headrest like this headset. Not even sure how to categorise them.
