came to make this comment, its the top comment so my work here is done. Its worth noting aside from a few timelines being off or super unlikely, these events in the show are extremely faithful to the ingame, im not going to comment on the one people have a gripe with most as its a pretty big spoiler, but fyi, everyone upset about it are nitpicking assholes anyway, so ignore it once you see it.

In Fallout 4 you can give Dog Meat a stuffed teddy bear just like the one in the show. He loves it and will play with it as long as you let him.
The Ghoul is my fave character. His backstory is brilliant.
And Ghouls are notoriously difficult to hurt and they regen so fast, minus a headshot

The sound of bullets is from the game when you use V.A.T.S (it slows down time and let's you auto target parts of enemies). They did amaziiiing job with that shoutout.
VATS is supposed to be a product of the pip-boy. So the ghoul using it is kinda outta place.
They should have shown Lucy using it in her shooting practice montage...
@@TJB-qn5fy The ghoul isnt actually using VATS tho, hes just a really good shot and the whole slo-mo sequence was just a nod to the games, theyre not trying to say that VATS is an actual thing outside of the games and that anyone can use it. You can tell thats the case as we never see the ghoul do anything similar to vats again. The whole point was just to have some fun with a mechanic that pretty much makes no sense in reality but is still a core feature of fallout.

@@KitsunebisNight Every bit of lore you know about Fallout, came from a computer terminal, that had a microchip inside it.
The nerding out lore difference between their universe and ours is we perfected the integrated circuit far before them which lead to microchips and everything we have with tiny electronics.
Their universe didnt invent the integrated circuit until right before the war. They were focused on nuclear technology.
Accurate. Most people trying to explain this alternate timeline say that the transistor was never invented in the universe of Fallout. But it actually was just far too late.

I always find that annoying how reactors always over exaggerate whenever anything bad happens to a dog.
Yeah, he just rendered about a dozen human beings - capable of reason, all with plans and hopes of their own - into pulp and red mist, and the reaction is: "Oh, look at that!" But a single dog is stabbed (non-fatally, as it happens) off-screen and it's time for tears and vows of vengeance.
@@AretaicGames The big difference is, those humans all consciously chose to attack another (armed) „human“ being for the money they’d get out of it. The dog just protected the person who raised and took care of him.
Maximus took his time shooting the bear, because he couldn't get a clear shot at its head. Shooting the bear anywhere else would only piss it off.
Exactly, plus it was dark. Had a clear head shot and daylight outside the cave. Also, judging by how the knight reacted, who's to say once Maximus took a potshot at the bear that the knight wouldn't have taken that opportunity to run away?
Remember that Titus basically promised to have Maximus crucified as a failed squire when they returned. I would have done the exact same thing, and let Titus drown in his own blood. That guy was a petty coward hiding behind his power armor. He did not deserve his armor- at least, not according the Brotherhood's definition of honor and courage.
If Maximus had shot at the bear before he was guaranteed a headshot, it only would have pissed it off and made it charge him. Titus would totally have lived, if he would have just shut up and been a real Brother of Steel.
Exactly. People think that lil handgun is going to guaranteed kill in a dark cave... against a bear. I think titus would have taken that moment to run.

Most of the sound effects of the creatures and the weapons are pulled directly 1:1 from the games! 😮
I even noticed the inventory sound effect a couple times!
@@habitsrabbit everything about the power armour is taken directly from the games too. From the HUD during the ironman shots to how it sounds when it moves.

This show is just..fun haha. Lots of fun and the cast throw themselves into their roles. Love it.
You probably noticed but Wilzig tipped the scale when he measured CX404, she was just slightly under 10 ounces but he for whatever reason didn't want to destroy her, that's why he was hiding her in the wall, she wasn't "good enough" for whatever the enclave was using them for.
We can only assume that the reason the turret said "Please Remain Calm" was because the targeting system sucked.

As someone who has played Fallout 4 I loved this show. First of all the Ghoul’s makeup is on point. The Ghoul who they fight this episode reminds me of John Hancock a companion in 4. When I was watching this Lucy’s experience with the surface dwellers made me think about my character, although they didn’t think I was weak for long 😂
To be honest I think he looks way too smooth...and for some reason has more perfect teeth than all the normal humans lol

if im not mistaken (i could check but i dont want to) the guy that play Titus was in Friends as one of Phoebes boyfriends (the cop) and in Justified (Amazing show that doesnt get as many attention as it should) as one of Dewey cousins (Walton Goggins played Boyd Crowder in that show and it was the best role in his career imo)

I love how Wilzig is deliberately set up and coded as a sinister mad scientist...and he turns out to be one of the kindest, selfless guys in the franchise.

Nuka Cola bottle caps are the currency of the Wasteland, as the machines to make them no longer exist, there is a finite quantity and they are srurdy.
Many of the shooting locations were practical:
-The Brotherhood of Steel headquarters was filmed at the former Wendover Air Force Base in in Utah. (This location has a real apocalyptic background: the base was the training center during World War II for the group that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.)
-The Ghoul's Grave is the Fort Totten Park in Queens.
(This old Civil War fortification overlooking Long Island Sound that is now a public park.)
- The Enclave where Dr. Wilzig examines puppies was filmed in the Brooklyn Army Terminal Building in Sunset Park in NYC.
-The desert scenes were filmed on location in Namibia, southwest Africa.
-The houses buried in the sand are the Elizabeth Bay Ghost Town, also on Namibia's Skeleton Coast.
Also:
-The entrance to the town of Filly was filmed in the Pine Barrens airplane and automobile graveyard in southern New Jersey.
- The boat graveyard scene
As Lucy begins to explore the Wasteland, the shipwreck of the Eduard Bohlen appears.
This was a German cargo ship, which ran aground in 1909 and has been partially buried by the shifting sands.

The squires carrying the big golf bags is kind of a joke towards the game in that players tend to pick up and carry a lot of crap throughout the game.

That rusted robot in the desert wasnt just an old style robot. Thats death right there. Thats the scariest entity in Fallout. You see them you better run….
It seems like Max's arc is all about the cycle of revenge and rising above it. Remember, during his interrogation he even said that he joined the brotherhood to get back at the people who hurt him. That is a major flaw of his, but he is a good person at his core. I like that it's still somewhat ambiguous whether he's the one who put the razor in Dane's boot.
Titus was a shithead the entire time and the whole reason they got into the mess with the bear is because he refused to go to the original location, like Max suggested. He blamed Max for everything that happened and while being a dick by itself doesn't justify Max's actions, He really pushed it over the edge by essentially implying that he'd get Max executed when they get back to the base.

In Fallout 4 you have a game option called "Wild Wasteland" which basically enhances the surreal factor of certain situarions and interactions with NPCs, and the show is written to mirror that, hence all the crazy characters, like the Chicken Fucker, etc.

“Retro futurism” though I prefer: Post-Nuclear Apocalyptic, Retro-Futurist Diesel-Punk.
Post-Nuclear Apocalyptic, (pretty obvious,) after the end of life as they knew it via nuclear war.
Retro-futurism, (think old-school Epcot,) the “idealistic” version of the future proposed in the 1950s & ‘60s, specifically.
Diesel-Punk, (think The Rocketeer, Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow, & Dark City,) an aesthetic centered around mechanics (gears & grease,) like Steam-Punk or Cyber-Punk but the dominant elements include a DIY/Right-To-Repair ethos and a mechanistic feel to the world building, (Are your computers tactile and use dials & knobs?, etc.)
