No filter. Please ensure you're absolutely sure you can open the fill before draining. Had an issue with someone who had a junkyard buy and did a drain without considering the fill port. Also front of transmission had a level port. Overfill by half quart then ensure you're at operational temperatures, open that port while running should slow drip and you're done.
There is a cap (facing the front of the Accent) at least on my 2016. Being the system is "sealed" for whatever reason with no dipstick, you can still check that your level is OK by first removing the splash-guard for access to it, adding just under the amount needed or just less than what you removed, start the car, shift gears around and run until hot, .. then *while running hot* and car leveled, open that front facing cap (3/8 socket wrench fits in middle) and if it's not leaking out, add slowly until it begins trickling out. At this time you know your level is good and close the forward-facing cap. If when you open the front-facing cap you see it really gushing out, it is overfilled. Allow it to spill out into the pan and wait until it trickles out at a lesser rate, at which time close the cap.
Good morning, The steps are very simplified. According to you, does the Hyundai accent 2018 have the same configuration and then, does the content of the video show a complete or partial transmission oil change and thank you.
never done a transmission change on my vehicle before so please don’t mind if this question is a little silly, is this the same exact build for a 2018?? like are those the same tools i’ll need for my car too?
Manufacture decide service intervals. That u need ur transmission oil changed after 30-40 k kilometres. Check your car manual it should explain your cars service chart.
I use Valvoline Max Life Synthetic. It is rated for SP-III and SP-IV which are two common Hyundai automatic transmission fluid types. Also it is about 25 bucks for a 4 quart (1 gallon) jug at Walmart or AutoZone.
I just changed the fluid in a friend's car - I did it twice, to get a cleaner fluid once done - and in both drain cycles I ended up with very close to 3.5 US qts. To the degree it was possible in the garage in which I did the work, I made sure the car was level, drained from the drain plug (naturally), and filled via the check-fill plug, using a hand pump and a gallon container of fluid. When the refilled fluid first began to overflow via the check-fill plug, I started the car and cycled the gears through D, R, and P, a number of times, and then added a little more fluid until it overflowed once more. As I said, I did this twice, and both times drained the same amount of fluid.
@@sergiogarcia7171 I drove the car for a few miles after the first drain-and-fill to make sure everything felt good, and then returned to the garage for the second drain-and-fill, about 20 minutes after the first drain-and-fill was complete. So all the work was done in the same hour or two.
@@patrickobrien8851 if you had taken longer instead of a couple miles like let's say you drove the car for a week would it have mattered to have done the transmission oil change again?
I didn't know Hyundais you can do it yourself. I got surprised once I saw the drain plug. Thank you. I'm going to do it on my 2012 Hyundai Accent.
Glad I could help
Thanks for this DIY video! I've been trying to change my transmission fluid and filter on my Hyundai Accent too!

Forgot to mention, shift through the gears a few times, getting fluid into the transmission

how the heck did you not spill when you added the oil? Every time I do it, it burps and there is a spill.
Thanks for the video sir.
Also, putting some fresh fluid through helps clean the fluid even more
Next time ✌️thank you
Great video thanks much
your welcome
When is bolero in your series going to arrive?? 🤷♂️😎
Once I will come to India then we will make it happen. ✌️😉
How did you determine that you needed to change the fluid for the transmission

Nice Job. Hard to do and record simultaneously I bet.
Is there a transmission filter to change?
And the filter you change?
Keep it up bro👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I will try my best
Thanks 👍
Thanks Question what type of Automativ Trassmission Fluid you use in a 2016 Hiunday Accent thanks
MV LV. If you buy it from store they can tell by the VIN or by your car make and model.
