      Haha thank you! That’s a definite pain! I’m really not a fan of this model, remember changing the heat ex on one once about 10 years ago and it was a nightmare!

    hi mate, did you drain the system when checking inside the heat exchanger, is it dry pocket ? i.e gas valve, air ducket, fan are all dry pockets? please explain

      Hi, it’s all dry for these checks. Often we hear about blocked heat exchangers and it’s never explained that they can block in 2 different ways causing different symptoms and boiler failure - either internally where the water flows through or externally through the airways which I’m checking in the video. No draining had to be done for any of these checks but the gas was isolated and tested on reconnection.
      When blocked internally in the water ways it will create circulation/overheat issues. When blocked externally (in the section I’m checking now) it creates combustion/ignition issues. Hope this helps? Thank you for watching!
