Dear Madonna Haters,
Madonna is clever. Very Clever. She has genuine talent. Shes not the best singer, dancer or actress, but she knows how to put them all together. Intelligent women can write music. And she is intelligent. She wouldn't have lasted almost 30years in the biz if she wasn't.
Her music isn't the hardest most complicated music ever, but it does affect people, whether good or bad. I like her. You don't have to she has many fans that will forever.
Why does she get so much stick.

I disagree she is a good singer and a very good dancer!!!
I don't hate Madonna. My favorite from her was when she played in Evita and she did Ray of Light. Today I don't know

Actually a lot of her songs are far more complex than they seem. She has a way of tying things together with her beautiful melody lines which makes them deceptively simple
madonna is amazing. she really knows how to make her concerts as close to art as entertainment gets!
The lower register in her voice is awesome.

Nikki and Donna are the perfect time back-up for Madonna. They released a cover of rain a couple of years ago. And Donna's vocals have such a similar tone and quality to Madonna's it's clear why they were together for so many years.
This was fun! Actually according to most music critics "Blond Ambition" is Madonna's greatest tour achievement and the defining moment in concert tour history! Madonna paved the way for today's ambitious tours. Well done!!!

I saw this concert live in Madison Square Garden, and I left mesmerized! Madonna was absoultely AMAZING!! But I must say, her brother Christopher, who was artistic director of this tour, did an absolutely fabulous job! The costumes,the sets,the entire production was a A+. I have seen Madonna a total of 4x's and this is for me her greatest triumph.

The first time I saw this (on VHS) I cried cos it was soo beautiful to me the stripped down way she performed it and the dancers just wow, so gorgeous.

I agree with you 110% when I saw Blond Ambition back in 90 and Girlie Show in 93 it was well planned and thought out these were the best concerts she ever made and her performance was immaculate.

"Blond Ambition" was the genius of "The Girlie Show". With that concert experience and the negative backlash for the "Sex" book and the amazing "Erotica" album she took those components and created "The Girlie Show". A artistic statement if there was any, a MASTERPIECE!!!
"Negative backlash"?? How much in sales did that book do???
She sure did! The entire Girlie Show was a sort of tribute to funk and soul and pop. I especially loved the bit at the end of Holiday where she says to Niki "But I was just gettin on the good foot" and then proceded to do a James Brown blow-your-socks off scream and wail. Her references are impeccable. She really is a soul sister!

This is absolutely fabulous to watch! Always wished I could have seen this show... the only trouble is, it only makes me wish all the more that Madonna would also release a full live *album* of The Girlie Show. Wouldn't this production be just a blast to blare at parties or in the car? :D

I think the Girlie Show and Blond Ambition are the best tours of madonna.. because she didn't make too much playback.. she is more natural.. also the drowned world and little bit of reinvention tour.. I love all her tours but girlie show and blond ambition have the best songs and performances of the songs.. erotica and immaculate collection.. two albums very good.., erotica is honest and immaculate conllection the best compilation..

Actually "The Girlie Show" was the most ambitious of Madonna's tours up to then. Her brother Christopher was the set designer for both tours and he also feels "The Girlie Show" was his greatest artistic moment. In regards to the sheer inpact, the dancer coming down the pole and Madonna's opening number of "Erotica", fabulous! "Deeper and Deeper" with the crystal ball and the 70's vibe amazing! But my favorite was "Justify My Love", all dressed up like characters from "My Fair Lady", stunning!
"My Fair Lady"? Try again... Why did she fire her brother after only 2 tours?

@GiovaniB52 you must be smoking crack, A) after 1993 hits wise, Madonna bounced back in a HUGE way. she went back to sell albums in a way she hasn't sold since Like A Prayer, she had 2 of her biggest #1 singles (Take A Bow, Music) her string of Dance #1s more than doubled, she got a golden globe, her song for Evita would win an Oscar making it her 2nd song to win an Oscar (not sure if anyone has done that) she started winning GRAMMYs, she had so many projects touring was delayed..no breaks.

I think this was the peak and very best days of Madonna ,I think the best of her ended with this tour .It was after this tour she went on a long break all the way till 2000 ,and she only released single hits here and there after that . Her shows weren't rated well in this past decade . I think she's semi-retired now

I hear you. I always wanted the live version of "Deeper and Deeper" (the best remix IMO). I nearly went - but the born-again Christian who was gonna sell me the ticket changed her mind (than came back and complained the show was "too sexual" - WTF!??)
madonna has always looked older than what she really was due to her sharp face and older looks.... when she was in her 40's she finally caught up...
