    Ok, so... this is old and obviously done with old-school technology however, THIS is REALLY REALLY good! I'm here trying to polish up and learn discovery call information for a different type of business. This information is absolutely GOLD with a platinum lining dashed with diamonds!
    She is REALLY good... nails all aspects of a call and provides literal "hand holding" advice around techniques to handle everything. This video is so good, it really should not be free! Wow!

      Honestly, this is a really complex question. It depends on why they are saying maybe. If they aren't a good fit for your services, that's not a maybe you want to overcome. However, if you feel like you haven't gained their trust, that's another issue. Whatever you do, don't act desperate for the sale, because the client feels that. If they are running, they will run faster. Dig deeper, but hold the potential client loosely. I've had clients come back 9 months or more after I thought I had lost in the discovery call, because they were saving up to be able to afford our services. Maybe is sometimes not a bad place to be in a sales conversation.

    What’s lacking here is an “upfront contract.” An upfront contract prevents you from going through an entire discovery call only to have someone say they’re not ready to buy now.

    I think it’s odd that a coach would make their potential clients feel scared. It’s the exact opposite of your purpose.

      That’s literally the best framework for selling any product. People don’t just buy stuff, and uncovering fears helps understand the client that there’s a solution.
